Thanks for reviewing the brand Dr. Dray!
Thanks for watching!
So glad you tried this. I like Dr. Sam Ellis’ CZcams channel too. But I wasn’t going to try her skincare line without the Dr. Dray stamp of approval!
Thank you, dear Dr. Dray! Happy Monday! 💚
Yayyyy!!! I really wanted you to review this!
I've been waiting for this!
Thanks for watching
I was literally hoping for this video omg !
Thank you so much, Dr. Dray! The urea lotion sounds like it’s right up my alley. Will give it a try.
I’m so happy you did this review, thank you!! I just ordered their new redness soothing serum and the facial mist!
Thank you for your honest review Doc! ❤
Thank you for reviewing this ☺️
I just noticed the white puppy as a backdrop. Cute!!😊
Hi Dr. Dray! You and Dr. Sam Ellis (the founder of Prequel) are the two dermatologists I watch regularly on CZcams, so it's cool to see you reviewing her brand. I'm a big fan of the Barrier Therapy Cream... very affordable price for the amount of product you get, and the tube has lasted me all winter.
Same here, along with Doctorly (those doctors are amazing!)
@@yaniacdiaz And Dr Sam Bunting from the UK!
Very timely video ❤ I just heard about their hand lotion this morning and was curious about it!
Love the cleanser and Lucent-C! Definitely gonna try some of these others
Lovethe cleanser and lotion and the price. Thanks for the review of the rest.❤
Thank you for telling your opinion of this product! Have a great week!❤️
Awesome brand review. God I love Dr Dray!
Happy Monday, Dr. Dray ❤
Honestly im a sucker for packaging and this packing is so cute. I love how simplistic it is and the colors are appealing
I'm loving the Prequel line! Thank you for this review; a great source of unbiased information.
Thanks for your review, I've been very curious about this brand. I'd love to see a video of those cleansers that meet "the mascara test".
Thanks for pointing out the niacinamide content! I'm often sensitive to it. Thanks for being a consistent source of good info for us!
Love you and love Dr. Ellis. I have loved each Prequel product I have ordered! The Gleanser is my favorite! Thank you for you honest review and I just ordered their universal skin solution and the skin utility gel and balm 😊 can’t wait to receive and try them!
I was like she's really gonna go there 😂 I love Dr. Dray. I was hoping for a review. I really want to try a couple products ❤
Very grateful for you taking the time to look into and try these products. I"ve been very intrigued on a couple like the gleanser and how it might do against sunscreen. Your review is helpful as always...Side note, I used the skinsmart spray when healing a surgical wound after remembering your videos on it. It worked great. I'm now trying it out on the face.
What a great rundown. And I am interested in this brand. The two products I most interested in our cleanser or gleanser as they call it, and the vitamin C.
You like absolutely beautiful in this video. Seriously, just stunning.
I use the Prequel line because I had an impaired skin barrier. I am not a fan of the sensory experience of the gleanser, but he skin barrier cream followed by the skin utility ointment absolutely saved my face. I LOVE the vitamin C serum as it is gentle and never irritates my face and after one month it is definitely reducing my hyperpigmentation and evening my skin tone a lot. I really find the Prequel line super helpful and except for the gleanser I enjoy using all the products. I am 100% sold on Prequel.
She really does!
So glad you talked about your experience with the products, I'm not seeing reviews on the Prequel website which is so weird to me!
Omg yay a review from one of my favorites on the other
Yay! Glad you tried it! I have been using the spray and vitamin C and both work well for my skin. I plan on trying the glenser next.
I've tried numerous Prequel products, and feel that Dr. Dray's reviews were spot on.
I love the 4 products I've tried from the brand - the Gleanser is THE BEST! I have mature, very dry skin and eczema. No cleanser has performed better, I'm never going back. I also absolutely love the urea lotion and sunscreen. The skin protectant cream is really wonderful for my eczema skin and so smooth. Love them and will try the vitamin c next.
I am really enjoying my Prequel products so I’m glad to see you giving them a glowing review!!! I own their Gleanser, Urea body milk lotion & SPF 😊❤
I did NOT think she would do this. I’m so happy!
I been trying the Gleanser and the Foot Rescue and both products are really great!
I love dr Ellis!! And I love you!! Two of the best!! Crème of the crème
Thanks for reviewing this brand! I look forward to trying them!
The only review I care about. Thanks Dr. DRAY❤
Thanks for the review, Dr. Dray!
I’ve been loving their Barrier Therapy cream and just tried the Gleanser today. We’ll see!
I’m hoping that they come out with a gentle retinal product WITHOUT niacinamide.
Yes!!! Love that the cleanser passes the mascara test. :) I'm going to pick it up, I love that it's an oil free and fragrance free gel. Thanks, Dr. Dray! I couldn't be more impressed with the reasonable price point for this line, also.
I've recently started using the Lucent-C. I really like the essence-y feel.
As someone who has bought and returned thousands of dollars worth of skincare (low and high end) because I was not satisfied... everything I've tried from Prequel has been amazing!! The gleanser is unmatched, both my sister and I switched to it and love it! The vitamin c is amazing, I actually started wearing vitamin c again because of this product. Also, it's in a glass pump jar so it won't get oxidized quickly! Ive also tried two different lotions and they are awesome. So surprised and happy with this skincare line!
How do you end up returning items? I've always found that you can't, if its been used?
@@rakhsanar5291
Any skincare, makeup or hair care can be returned to the store if you’re not satisfied.
Ulta, Sephora, Target, Walmart and CVS.
@@rakhsanar5291no, drugstores like Target, Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, etc. have the same return policy for opened skincare products as they do with most of their other merchandise- as long as you have the receipt and you didn’t use up like 90% of the product, and you return it within the eligible return window (ex: 30 days, 60 days, etc.) you will get your money back.
Ulta and Sephora also have the same return policy for skin care purchases you make from those stores (I think Ulta’s return window is 60 days, Sephora’s is 30 days).
Return policies vary a little bit more when you buy skin care products from a brand’s own dedicated website
I'm excited to try the hand cream. To me, the ingredients appear similar to the Clinique hand cream.
I'm hopeful about the cleanser, too.
Yay! I LOVE everything in this line! I haven’t tried the foot cream, vitamin C or Gleanser yet but her pricing and the results I’ve seen using her products have taken my skin to the next level. I would love to see you review on Dr. Sherene Idriss’s line-her pricing is really high in my opinion. Love your opinions and research! Thanks for what you do!
I have bought everything from Prequel except for the sunscreen and the newest skin utility balm. Love it all! And the prices are great.
Hi I have jumped on this train a while back and I absolutely love the first product I bought was the barrier skin cream and then I recently tried the urea moisturizing milk, which I love as well I have dry skin that is a bit eczema prone and certain areas and I find it really helps. I also have tried gleanser and although I haven’t used it much, I do like it and I love the fact that the products are fully free. Thank you for the review. Have a great day.
can’t wait to watch this! i use their gleanser everyday and love it! their lotion broke my face out but i’ve been using it on my body this winter
What type of skin do you have and do you use it twice a day??
Loving the Prequel Lucent C serum so far. Had gotten away from Vitamin C due to trying other products. But thought this was a reasonably priced, well-formulated and very well packaged product so I decided to try it. So far, I love it!
Great Dr. Dray. I follow you from Italy! My dermatologist says the same thing as you about skin health. Retinol, sunscreen and a few other products to hydrate!! Greetings from Italy!😊😊
Love these reviews! Thank you 😃
Happy Monday Dr Dray…see you tomorrow x💙🤩
Thank you for the review of the Prequel line of products. I purchased the mineral sunscreen and also found it pills on my face. I even tried it without any other products underneath it and it still pills.
Oh my gosh been waiting for this
Very helpful, thank you! I’m a big fan of Dr. Ellis - the two products I’ve loved from Prequel have been the vitamin c serum and the foot cream. I loved all of your tips on how to use the products and your honest opinion on price.
Wonderful and informative video! I have been using the Prequel line for several months and have raved about these products, however, I have also experienced peeling of other products with the Vitamin C serum. After watching this video, I think I have nailed down the culprit ( Vitamin C serum) that has been causing other products (sunscreen, skin tints) to peel!
I love the cleanser and Vit C is magical!!! The only ascorbic acid that I’ve tried without Vit E which clogs my pores badly!! I can’t wait to see what’s next for Prequel! Thanks for reviewing
I have extremely sensitive skin that easily burns with so many products. I love the Prequel products that I have used so far. The Gleanser, the heavier lotion and barrier therapy. I have mature dry skin and love the Gleanser for cleansing my face.
Yes! Thank you for pointing that out.
I LOVE these products. I am one of those people that could not use Cerave, but all the Prequel products work for me. I use the Vit C serum in the a.m. , then put on a light layer of the urea ( milk) cream and then the sunscreen….I get no pilling.
I’m using this line now for 2 weeks, and it is perfect, I love everything about it, the ingredients, the price… and my skin looks brighter and more hydrated…
Good morning:) excited for your review
Morning!
Thank you for another great review. I’m really enjoying the Prequel Vitamin C Serum (Lucent-C)
What are your thoughts about someone with sensitive skin using the vitamin c?
Make a video about teenage skincare! Like what products you recommend or certain ingredients we shouldn’t use please.
I bought the Prequel barrier therapy skin protectant cream not too long ago and I am a dry skin person living in a dry climate. The cream "seems" lightweight but as you use it I found it to be very hydrating - finally finding something that wasn't too heavy but worked like it was. I defiantly recommend at least trying it. I am diabetic and really have to watch the feet as well and this cream goes everywhere and makes my skin feel great. The price is for SURE right too! Thanks for the full review - some of the other items seem tempting too :)
Thank you for this review, Dr. Dray! I've been trying out their products (mostly because I love the content Dr. Sam Ellis puts out) and have really enjoyed the experience overall. I absolutely agree with you on the sunscreen-so much pilling! I'm excited for a potential chemical sunscreen from the brand. I've loved the Lucent-C serum, though. Excited for what else they make!
*pilling
thank you for sharing these tips😍🤩
I Love the Prequel products! They are excellent and I especially appreciate there is NO fragrance. I’ve tried and used all except for the Skin Barrier Balm.
I have tried the Prequel sunscreen which I very much enjoy. It hasn’t pilled and does not cause an unsightly cast on my deeper skin tone. There is a slight cast but not bad. I am trying the Gleanser next. Thanks so much for reviewing the other products. I agree that these products seem straightforward, effective and nice quantities at a reasonable price point.
Oh yeah! I love the cleanser! My skin feels so hydrating compared to other washes. I also do like the sunscreen. The only issue I have with body cream is a weird scent but it does dissaper
Thank you for the review. I've been wanting to try this brand, but I'm trying to use up some of the mountains of products I currently have before buying more :)
I have been waiting so long for this! Thank you!! So far, I have not been a fan of any of the products. Sad because I like her.
Thank you Dr D, i’m going to try the barrier protector. I have those little lines on the inside of my hands! So I’ll give it a whirl.
I started using the Gleanser a few months ago. My super dry skin loves it. I started using Tretinoin right after and it’s helped with not stripping my skin. I’m still on my first bottle. It’s SO much product for not a ton of money. Also started using the sunscreen and have zero complaints.
I am trying a bunch of Prequels products too. So far the Glenser is slightly too striping for my VERY dry mature skin. I prefer it as a second cleanser after using a balm or oil cleanser for a first cleanse. Love that it can be used on the body too which seems to be no problem. It’s great as a body cleanser for the whole family. I'm also loving the Barrier Cream, also great for the whole family 😊
Is it too stripping if youre using it as a stand alone cleanser so using it as a 2nd cleanse is less stripping? Or, is it stripping either way?
Good to know bc I was debating trying it, but I’m going to stick with my Tacha Rice Wash
@@Goldie9899 I like Tacha rice wash, too, but I would say that Gleanser is gentler and more hydrating than the Tatcha.
@@hithere8140
As a double cleanse definitely too stripping for me. As a single cleanse after a balm cleanser or an oil cleanser seems fine (no tight feeling). Unfortunately for me an unlikely a re-purchase. I think this a fabulous cleanser for normal to possibly slightly oily or slightly dry skin. Hope this makes sense 😊
@@Goldie9899 I’m definitely excited to try the Tatcha rice wash. I’ve heard great things about it! Do you have dry skin or very dry skin? 😊
I have tried the lotion, ointment and cleanser. I love the lotion, not greasy and fast absorbing. Ointment is great but I prefer CeraVe. The cleanser is great and lasts forever!
Hi, Does the cleanser removes sunscreen well or do you need a second cleanser. All I use is Vitamin C, CoQ10, moustirizer and sunscreen. Thanks
Thank you for your honest review of Prequel. This sounds like a good line. Maybe its time for your own line Dr. Dray?
Yesss! Perfect timing
I love this brand. I have tried their hand cream, cleanser and vitamin C serum. I love all the products I've tried and highly recommended them. I have used the cleanser on my body and it feels amazing and works well.
Thank you! I have been using most of these products for about a month and actually my sensitive, severely dry, dehydrated, almost 60 year old skin loves all of these so far. I haven’t tried the vitamin C yet. I also love the sunscreen but it pills up SLIGHTLY on my skin as well. I still use it because it’s slight. I love the Prequel line❤
It is a really nice line 👍🏼
I love the sunscreen so much! So easy to apply, absorbs easily, high spectrum coverage, leaves a barely there sheen and doesn’t pile. Checks all the boxes!!
Just ordered it!!
The gleanser is my new favorite face cleanser
I like every product I’ve tried from Prequel
The prices are fantastic too
Dr. Dray, please do a review of gentle but effective hand soaps if you have time. Thank you for considering. ❤
The gleanser seems to be a huge success. I mean, from other youtubers it is consider THE favorite cleanser. Sadly I can't order that brand because I live in Canada but I still have this hope to try it sooner or later 😊
8:07 in a university lab setting we used a stronger version of HOCl (we made it) to compare to bleach and other household disinfectants on sponges which we used to wipe stuff...a lot. We cut the sponges into cubes, soaked the pieces in different agents for different sets of times, then swabbed and used agar dishes to grow everything. HOCl did the best. For skin use the pH is lower than the one we were using but it's really good, it's just not always super shelf stable...I've seen it for skin use in a lot of places and have been curious about how they stabilize it but it's a really great product. pH of 4.5 is pretty close to acetic acid.
Appreciate the review. I've never heard of this line. They don't sound too bad. Happy Monday, Dr Dray! I hope you have a peaceful evening. 💙
🙏💕🐈🐈🫖☕️☕️💕🙏
The line is made by Dr. Sam Ellis, a dermatologist. She has a good channel here on CZcams, too.
@gategirl66 Thanks! I was wondering who the maker was. I’ve watched some of his videos.
*her not his
The cleanser is everything!
I've really enjoyed the couple of things I've tried, especially the urea moisturizer. I will be interested if they come out with any acne focused products as that is mostly what I struggle with maintaining
I like the Gleanser and sunscreen the most!
Thank you for the explaination of how to use the Kersal. I’ve been using it wrong. 🤦🏻♀️ It’s still been great but I see how it could be better. I have super dry skin and love the Prequel Glenser. I purchased the Utility Ointment for my nasty cuticles and it’s been lovely. I’m not sure if I’ll repurchase the ointment but I will repurchase the cleanser if it ever runs out. 😂
I love Prequel! I have oily, reactive skin. The Barrier Therapy moisturizer has been SO nice on my skin. It doesn't make me any more oily, but I feel moisturized and supple. I've been through 3 Gleansers now - I usually use that as my am cleanser or on the nights that I use actives (my skin screams when I do too much). I'm excited to try the hand cream and the lighter moisturizer. Also, their shipping has been super speedy. I'm a fan.
Thanks for reviewing this line Dr.Dray. I agree that the sunscreen pills, even on top of a sensitive-friendly hydrating serum. Can this slight pilling interfere with the efficacy of the sunscreen? Thanks so much.
I am loving the Gleanser. Waiting for the vit C I just purchased because I like how they bottled it. Currently, using the Vit C+Ferulic from Drmtlgy, but don't like the dropper (oxidation). Thanks for this review.
Been waiting for the video thank you dr dray 🩷
Thanks for watching!
Love this video, Dr. Dray! Mascara is easy for me to remove with any cleanser, as I don't use waterproof mascaras or eyelash primers. My test for a cleanser is with removing my favorite tinted, mineral, water-resistant SPF cream. I look for proof of effectiveness by swiping my face with a cotton pad soaked in micellar water. If the cotton pad comes away clean, I believe in the cleanser. Thanks for your info!
Do you have a cleanser that passes the test?
I’ve tried, and love, the Gleanser and the hypochloric acid spray. Would love to see a brand review like this for Stratia. Most of the products in my current line up are Prequel and Stratia and my skin has been great.
Sounds like this line has potential. And the prices aren’t astronomical. Thanks for the information! I’ll have to give this line a try.
Happy Monday!
i love the ointment on my lips bc it doesnt taste bad and the cleanser for my face and body! i have really itchy/irritated skin on my face and body and this cleanser is something thats very surprisingly helped with that. i was just looking for something that wouldnt cause further irritation, was pleasantly surprised to have the benefit of relief for my usually problematic skin!
I adore this line. Cleanser doesn’t work for my face (causes clogged pores) but has been wonderful on my body. Ditto the Urea moisturizer. Also adore the foot and hand products even though they’re basically nicely packaged versions of Gloves in a Bottle and your favorite foot product (can’t remember the name). The Vitamin C quickly became my HG serum though - my skin drinks it up, no breakouts, and moisturizing.
The gleanser has become my holy grail for my extremely sensitive dry body skin. I can literally feel my skin healing. The vit c is also amazing. Incredibly simple ingredients yet my skin has never been so glowing. I’ve never repurchased a vit c until this one! There is a hotdog water smell and is strong (I’m an esti an have ironclad skin and I do feel a little warmth with this product). 100000% recommend
I have tried most of the products in the line and I found all of them very reasonable price and excellent, nice to have affordable products.
