So I have been neglecting trolling from the yak because I like power fishing way more. But since September I’ve been experimenting with it more, have a Scotty rod holder and tried a bunch of different baits, crank baits and jointed husky baits have been solid. It definitely works people! Shout out Lost lakes as well, I’ve always had it in mind because of his vids.
Totally agree. I love fishing fast and casting too. But on a trip sometimes it's just not practical. Trolling is a great way to fish while on the move. Thanks for watching dude! 🤙

I love that Scotty gunnel set up. First learned about it on lost lakes. Expensive but worth it.
That's where I saw it too! It is pricey, but feels like it'll last forever. And it's so perfect for someone like me who switches boats frequently.
Really enjoyed the video! I just got a boat this summer and haven't had luck trolling for walleye as I am very new to it. Will definitely try the bottom bouncer next season.

Great advice! Trolling was always a technique I avoided until this summer because I always thought it was a lazy way to fish, but I've learned that it's an effective way to cover a lot of water to find fish and then come back to them after.
Totally used to feel the same. But making time to fish when you're tripping can be hard when you've got to cover distance, so being able to do both at the same time is a game changer.
