Breaking my PB musky with brand new bait!

- Out on a musky adventure for Musky League. Brandon and I were fishing on a lake that we have not been on more than a couple times but I will DEFINITELY be back! Been a very long quest for me to break that 40" mark and I would say that it was smashed!

@@teichmilleroutdoors it looks as if you are holding the rod on the same side you reel on. Could inhibit your hook sets and mobility of the rod.
@@justin1883 ahh, I gotcha. I do seat my rod on my reeling side, I feel extremely awkward doing it on the opposite side and feel like I don't have the strength.
@teichmilleroutdoors are you right or left arm/hand dominant? Have you tried a left handed reel yet?
@@justin1883 right arm/hand. Yup, I have and the 1st musky I ever caught with it felt extremely awkward from the hookset to the reeling.
If your going to put your time in to fish for muskys have the right kind of bump board so they don’t take all slime off on carpet and learn how to hold them and handle and release. Disgusting to watch. Handling like that will kill the fish that we have
I do plan to get a new bump board. How do you suggest I prevent a fish from flopping? To my knowledge, my hand was properly under the gill plate with the thumb in the correct position and both fish went for a big flop in the boat. Doesn't happen every time but every fish is different, can't control a wild animal completely.
