Awesome content! Thanks for the Fall tips! I’ll put them to use. You’re exactly right about the Ned Rig too. It catches fish when nothing else will!
Great advice, love these old detailed fishing technique videos. Still useful today!
Thanks for the info. Just now getting into bass fishing pretty heavy. Still have a lot to learn and your channel is awesome for that!! Thank you!!
Gene, you literally taught me how to fish for bass. I'm thankful for you and all your advice over the past few years. God bless you.
That is awesome! I'm glad to help
One of your better videos that I've seen in your blog.
Great video! It is that time of year here in the northeast and this was a good tune up before I hit the water this weekend.
Man I’m new to bass fishing and I got to say I love your videos! I’ve learned so much from them!
Great video! Lots of good info here. Organized very well. Saved to my library 👍🏼
The hoodie analogy is perfect as I am starting to wear a hoodie, at night, here in the Midwest.
Love your videos Gene!
Square Bill is my favorite cold water bait. Got my PB (6.5 in NH) on a shade color #2 size. Cover water fast and effectively!
Always dropping quality knowledge thanks Gene!!
Thanks for the tips! I used to just throw what was in the ol tackle box. Thanks to CZcams and guys like you, my fish catch numbers have increased!!! Thanks again! Shout out from Cinnamon Bear Outdoors!
I love lipless crankbaits i just bought some lunkerhunt fillet lipless crankbaits they work nice and have a realistic natural detail on them
Videos like this gets me excited for the fall bit.
Awesome video on the fall transition....thanks for the information....I do a lot of bank fishing this will help me limit what I need to bring to the lake.

Another awesome video brother and some great information as well!
repacking my tackle for fall while watching this vid. Thanks for the tips brother.
A squarebill is a must in my tackle box! Hard to snag and very good for searching around lay downs or just searching for bass.
I love this channel you are one of the best fisherman I watch you give great instructions on your videos its awesome
I appreciate that!
Love it. Thank you sir
Very awesome videos dude I really like watching your videos/listening to them, I’m blind and I am learning a lot on how to use my sense of feel for fishing

Great video awesome tips will need this weekend
Just watched your video this morning, took your advice went out and caught me a 5lb large. Thank you for your knowledge
That’s awesome Derrek
Love the show
good video with fantastic information. thank you
Thanks for the tips and info. Nice video 👍🏻
Definitely a subject that has always crossed my mind. I usually take 2 combos, 7’3 MH and 7’3 H. The guy I usually fish with always says why I need two but my mentality has always been to have a topwater/shallow diver and something that can go to the bottom as a follow up. I think taking two combos is always a good idea. In my opinion. Great stuff, sir!
Absolutely
Man I found your channel this morning and have not stopped watching your videos yet. If you are ever in Myrtle Beach SC area please come help me get better at bass fishing.
Good stuff! Thanks Tom.
Can't go wrong with a square bill crankbait sexy shad color. That's one of my favorite lures. Basically all year I fish it. And swimbaits are also great. Good video fluke master 🙂
Beautiful boat. Very organized with baits and rods, etc. Subbed!
Thanks man.
Always can count on the flukemaster to deliver on the tips. Thanks man.
Hey Gene! Your videos are a great help! Thank you for your hard work!
Can you PLEASE make a video showing the knots you use to tie on some of those lures? Would greatly appreciate it!
Go to my channel and search for “Fishing knots you need to know”
Great tips. Thanks
Great video
great video- thank you!
Glad I'm not the only one pulling out 8 lures when I only need one.
Thanks Gene. It was supposedly 99 degrees in Dothan, AL today. I am ready for fall transition. It may be a while.
Don't remind me. I'm tired of drinking a gallon and a half of water every day
So far this fall I have caught 1 bass on a square bill. 5 hours of total fishing. Fall fishing is a blast!
Hopefully I will run into you one day at Heath or the Antioch lakes close to home thank you for all the great info
He looks like he is at Rocky mt projects don't he ? I see him on broad street every now an again this guy has taught me so much
Awesome video thank you
Good info fluke keep them coming
great great video my man i new it was going to be helpful thanks
Bro, you really know your shit. Excellent video. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for shouting out Minnesota. Legit struggling to catch anything lately.
Awesome video. Thanks.
Great info thank you brothah
Lol - that's exactly the issue - deer hunting. My plan this fall is to keep a couple of rods in the truck for "bass breaks" while out in the field. Thanks for the lessons.
Great info
Hey Flukemaster, great info for the fall transition. Can you do us a favor and post the rod, reel, and line setup with the baits. You put out some info but not all. Just learning this stuff and have increased my catch since tuning in to you and some of the other pros out there. Thanks for doing these videos for us, we really do appreciate it.
Thanks, Go Dawgs!!
Been have good lucky on inline spinners I got my pb smallmouth yesterday around 3 to 4 pounds
Do you have any video and tackle recommendations for a beginner bass fisherman in the small dock lined lakes in Western Washington? Loved the detail in this video btw!
sooo.. throw the whole tackle box at 'em lol
great vid!
Green gizzard shad seems to do well here in the Raleigh area lakes.
great tips!
so many good points in this video. i need to replay it with a notepad lol
Great video Fluke!!! Any specific order you would throw those through the day? Thanks
You pretty much told me to use all my tackle
Get more tackle
Randy Mirando lol
I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking that.😅
Doc Miller some people dont have enough money to get a lot of tackle
Junk fishing
16:52, I normally follow this rule, but recently lost an absolute giant by snapping off and I'm almost certain it would not have happened if my drag wasn't 100% tight.
Great video!!!
I really like the 6th sense CatWalker
Awesome video lovein it!!! A
Agreed on the KVD larger size. Can’t get confident on it. Always fish the smaller size
Thanks
Just wondering do u ever use the swivels with quick connect on it to change between cranks or topwaters quickly or do u tie them all on individually more so because u have many poles to flop through. So i guess im asking if u dont have 10 poles would u use the swivel connectors on ur line as opposed to tieing every lure on. Is there a reason to not use them?
Sick Vid!!
No a-rig? What are your thoughts on an a-rig vs a spinnerbait in a grass lake (guntersville)
Love your advice just wish you would consider the bank angler a bit more. I'm ALWAYS fishing from the bank since I don't own a boat.
How do you like that 13 fishing setup I was thinking about ordering that reel and getting the free rod for buying it
Thanks for the tips. It’s really improved my game.
You can buy ZeRust tabs on Amazon. They’re supposed to last 2 years and cover 7 inch radius. 7 bucks for 10 of them!
good stuff !
Man that's so true what he is saying because I seen that yesterday when I was down fishing at the river. There was this pocket of water by this pipe. All the minnows and smaller fish were in that section and all of a sudden these bass came out of nowhere and circled up around them and started going after them I took my Whopper plopper cast it out right in the middle of it then I seen this swirls turn towards my lure and sure enough I hooked a nice fatty.
You rock
Hey Flukemaster, will u do an updated Winter Blade bait video eventually?
Catch the snot out of it❤️ I’m thinking your enthusiasm is just going to help with hooking along with all the tips especially rod reel line🙏👊🏻
I'm up here in Jefferson County in New York near the great lake. I'm struggling finding fish right now. I try to hit all the areas you recommend to look for bass, but i cant seem to find em or get them to bite. Do you recommend a fish finder in that case snd if so, whats a decent one for someone who primarily shore fishes due to not having a boat
Man im fired up for the fall bite. What do you use as a trailer bait on your chatter bait.
Mostly the Blade Minnow or a Fluke.
Beautiful Video.
*Hug and good fishing!* 👍🎣😎
Just caught my pb on oconee on a jig. Go dawgs
Good Video
Question for Gene Jensen only:
Amazing video. I am a Florida saltwater guy just starting to freshwater fish. I always use braid with a fluoro or mono leader (with FG knot) and never tie braid directly to the lure. When you tie braid to a lure, what knot do you use? San Diego Jam Knot? Palomar?
I’m leery about tying to braid directly because I have had knots fail (slip) in the past.
I always use a palomar. It’s the only knot that has never failed me with braid.
