    Definitely a subject that has always crossed my mind. I usually take 2 combos, 7’3 MH and 7’3 H. The guy I usually fish with always says why I need two but my mentality has always been to have a topwater/shallow diver and something that can go to the bottom as a follow up. I think taking two combos is always a good idea. In my opinion. Great stuff, sir!

    Just wondering do u ever use the swivels with quick connect on it to change between cranks or topwaters quickly or do u tie them all on individually more so because u have many poles to flop through. So i guess im asking if u dont have 10 poles would u use the swivel connectors on ur line as opposed to tieing every lure on. Is there a reason to not use them?

    Man that's so true what he is saying because I seen that yesterday when I was down fishing at the river. There was this pocket of water by this pipe. All the minnows and smaller fish were in that section and all of a sudden these bass came out of nowhere and circled up around them and started going after them I took my Whopper plopper cast it out right in the middle of it then I seen this swirls turn towards my lure and sure enough I hooked a nice fatty.

    Question for Gene Jensen only:
    Amazing video. I am a Florida saltwater guy just starting to freshwater fish. I always use braid with a fluoro or mono leader (with FG knot) and never tie braid directly to the lure. When you tie braid to a lure, what knot do you use? San Diego Jam Knot? Palomar?
    I’m leery about tying to braid directly because I have had knots fail (slip) in the past.

    • @Flukemaster
      @Flukemaster  Před 2 lety

      I always use a palomar. It’s the only knot that has never failed me with braid.
