  • this turned out to be a bad cog tensioner bearing, ordered another tensioner & rebuild kit just incase. installed the new cog tensioner to see if it was in fact the noise I'd been hearing so not to rebuild the blower if it didnt need it yet..& yep it fixed the problem.

Probably has no oil or low, that's a V3. Take it apart see if there are signs of friction anywhere???

no I posted what it was in the comments...it was the cog tensioner bearing that went out..this was solved shortly after this video was posted years ago! thanks for trying to help though.

your gonna have to call vortech for the part number and then they tell you to order it from summit racing

it was the cog tensioner bearing the time went out..bearing is not sold separately..you must but the whole tensioner pulley from vortech..

It was super ez..x2 3/4 wrench and a little pry bar..just make sure the cog belt has 1" of up and down movement or else that cog belt will shred when the engine heats up to temp.

Go change it and have fun..only crappy part is you have to get the part number from vortech then vortech tells you to order it from summit racing...it will be a pulley and bearing assembled unit! Approx $115 shipped..iirc
