The car i bought has a kit like this installed, was curios how it all worked and now i'm more confused than ever. Still neat to see a couple things changed makes a huge difference.
is this video Stone age I seen then working on a 91 tbird as if they was in the year 1991 lol...
The video is very much step by step in depth but
how can this be referenced to modern times if kits have changed . And is this an AOD Valve body in this video ?

the new kits are quiete different then this on the video !!
1st,D,OD. No way to hold it in 2nd gear.
Yes,,you can..you must perform the aod epoxy mod to the valve body and then the selector pattern will be 1-2-4.

1 - D -1 will keep 2. Called aod shift. Bad for the transmission but with this upgrade its designed to do it.
Do the "AOD Shuffle": Start out in 1, shift to D, as soon as you feel 2nd gear pull back to 1 to hold 2nd, shift back to D for 3rd, then OD for 4th. This also works on some models of the AX4N/AX4S Taurus/Sable FWD.
