I found this to be a wonderful display of aikido. Since most people break it into techniques and don't show the whole thing like in this video you get a lot of slack but if you have a understanding of the pattern you cover a lot of material that is like a goldmine in one video. Thanks for the contribution.
I’ve never felt so bad for anyone in my life as I do for that poor assistant!

Отличная демонстрация, это школа Любы Врачаревича. Браво, Игорь Петрович! Сначала думал, что мастер говорит по-русски, потом по небольшому акценту понял, что по-сербски. Один язык. Один народ.
@Vuk Uros Слава Сербии! Косово - это Сербия!

I remember there's a cute girl in my aikido class, everytime there's a boy wanna shake her hand, she immediately twisting that poor boy hand ( for fun of course...)
Love to see this man up against an MMA fighter.
@Tim Scholz he wants that aikido master to get humiliated
Hahahahaha.. this is more preformance than real fight.. it looks intresting but thats all.. Steven Segal is not real fighter
Male of female?
Aikido is not an "octagon" like martial art. Martial arts are always referred to as a last resort (aka a fight starting), everyone shits on aikido not knowing that the point of it isnt that its superior to any martial art, it has its benefits and weaknesses and its aware of them.
@@Aegis--- bro, its weakness is that it doesn't work well in an octagon or the street
Saludos.
Eso no es Aikido.
@CarlosGomez-jx3ck: Correct
I don’t trust aikido masters without ponytails

The fluidity of aikido is beautiful.
That guy gonna need a new shoulder!!!

Jason Twist You are internet warrior, well done.In aikido there is defence from evey atack.Fist, leg, knife everything.IGOR PETROVIC 6 DAN BLACK BELT IS VERY RESPECTED MASTER.Let's make this simple.Go for it and atack some trained aikido master in the way you want.Hi will break you so bad,you going to be in hospital 30 days.
Jason Twist .. Dude i aint fan of aiki-do but ive done some aiki-jutsu and i tell you for sure if someone locks you and starts the "throwing" movement your gonna feel the pain. Now if for some reason you are marvel's Deadpool and you dont give a fck if ur arm is broken in pieces then go ahead and resist the throw and the pain...This will lead you to hospital ..Although i think your comment to Steven J was ironic.. Anyways gl bro
THE LAST SHINOBI well said,i train aikido for 4 years.Locks are very painfull and there is no joke with that.Bones are bones and no one want to spend some time in hospital...
No that guy knows everythig. Master is fast but i think not good enough. My master was faster.
Yeah it's crazy how these guys took over the ufc with these totally realistic fighting moves
MMA/UFC/Wrestling/BJJ almost died in a street fight, Aikido black belt never would have got in that situation and would have been better prepared against multiple attackers, known not to clinch, go to ground in a street fight: czcams.com/video/k-oCew_ef94/video.html
It's crazy how mma fighters think that they're the best, when really all they're good at is fighting in a ring or against one opponent, because that is exactly what mma is optimized for.
I used to do muay thai, for example, and a mate of mine did Aikido. In my arrogance, I thought my system was better than his, so we had a sparring session.
Let's just say, I learned very quickly to get VERY nervous about letting my wrist or ankles get anywhere near his hands. Even closing the gap was dangerous because the second I was in reach, I was in trouble.
Aikido has a bad rep largely because there's a lot of mcdojos that don't teach it as a combat art, and stick rigidly to forms and drills because they think that's what Aikido is.
@@peterclarke7240no you just sucked
Mma can't even make dist without a glove lol
@@peterclarke7240Exactly. Thank you man, I've been looking for someone (or, well, someone alive, since Ljubomir Vračarević understood it pretty well) to just for once understand that if Aikido is taught properly it can actually be functional.
I do have to say I am annoyed by the fact we never actually did proper Aikido, or Real Aikido, in my school even though my coach was 8th dan. An example of a McDojo that is. I got my black belt when I was 12... I was super frustrated that all I did was basically throw a bunch of kids around and get to experience 0 real effort, that I decided to leave the school and just go train at home with my brother. Unfortunately, I lack money and space, but hey, at least I get to do sparring with Aikido and prove a bunch of people wrong.
I love all the expert commentary from people who think they are martial arts experts. Technique demonstrations are not fights or sparing. I hold blacks in four different arts and a military career of a myriad of martial training.
No art looks the same in the dojo as the street. Very few techniques work as in movies. Everyone defaults during a fight. I have seen people very well trained in various martial arts who cannot execute in a combat situation.
I love the simple utility of jujitsu and I love the training in aikido. After 40 years I can pick and choose what I do, or how I use my skills. Working in a public school I have used aikido hundreds of time a year stopping fights and attacks without excessively hurting anyone or getting fired or arrested. It work and works well. If I need more aggressive techniques I have them.
Most of you have very little idea what your talking about. Here's a clue - the more definitive you are, the more wrong you are.
You are correct sir...and those twats don't count with one, and for me the most important thing, training levels.
Well said. Empty cans rattle the most for sure.
Oh shut up, you sound like an old woman, this is bull shit, this just proves to me YOU know nothing about fighting, of course it works in a school situation when you are probably over 200lb and you're stopping two 60lb kids from fighting.
Stick to collecting star wars figures, and stay away from any fight talk.
Couldnt agree more
Wouldn't it be great if someone moved slow and gave you their arm every time in a street fight?
And let their body loose like a ragdoll
This beginning techniques are legit I've done them several times in mcmap and had them done to me. Most of these types of techniques are situational. If you use them in full force you can easily break or dislocate someone shoulder/arm when applying pressure.
Quayshawn Dameron very true. And at that point it becomes instinct and reflex so when it happens in real life it could be brutal.
It's a demonstration.
Bajasurfer
I've never heard anyone say that before.....👀
Ahhh.. I always really enjoy these. Not for the video content or entertainment value, but rather the opportunity to relish in the wisdom and musings of so many “masters” in the comments. Rarely will so many experts gather on one forum and share their expertise. Scribes take down every word, so future generations may benefit from their guidance. Doesn’t matter if the video portrays Segal, or Grand Masters who have dedicated their entire life to their art, we will all be warned to NOT be impressed. It’s through the criticism of others, that these keyboard masters try to convince us of THEIR expertise and importance. Well, I for one am humbled by their greatness and if they scoff at the lifelong accomplishments of any true master, because THEY are convinced that they are more accomplished after weeks of study, then that’s good enough for me and I bow to each of you. Thank you for setting us straight. 🎭
You don't have to be a master to observe that the attacker just stands there and takes everything that's given.
Amazing!!!
Gozo Shioda and Koichi Tohei looking from heaven and are proud to you!
You’re not a master but a beast! A master teach his students instead of hurting them. You’re just showing off.

When the meth finally wears off, he's gonna wonder why he's so exhausted!
Haha I was thinking the same
Apparently he's actually on drugs lmao, my ex was his student
I am exhausted after watching half of the vid,and i do like this Aikido but i did suffer.
Aikido at this level is no joke. What an amazing thing to watch. Long time ago I was used as a assistant prop by my "instructor" at a much lower level because of my size (stout) yet ability to flow with him and then take a fall. The trainee has to flow because If you don't flow you will suffer irreparable harm on the simplest of movements. The immense amount of pressure applied just to your wrists travels from your finger to your elbow then to your shoulder socket. In one moment you are tippy toe trying to prevent your arm from being destroyed to flying like in a car wreck to immediately slapping the mat because again the shear pressure is applied down your entire arm. LOL I have read comments where guys are like "I would sacrifice my arm being broken in an arm bar from a BJJ match" but this ain't that. Your arm socket ripped out, your elbow broken, you entire forearm turned into jelly, your wrist destroyed and your poor little pinky finger twisted out of socket. In a single "event". Not even talking about the ground impact where your ankles get broke because they hit the ground so hard, the broken ribs if he decides to kick, or knee you or the broken neck from the fist strike.
There is a ton of very odd looking Aikido videos that unless you know what you are looking at it looks stupid. And some are for sure. But this ain't it. Look at this assistant's body being thrown around. Think what it would take for you to get that kind of velocity on another human body. And the instructor is not trying to hurt his assistant.
Then there are videos of Aikido squaring off like in a competition. This is where it's not as effective if at all. In my most humble opinion Aikido is very well suited where you have "one shot" to remove the absolute life threatening attack like a knife, sword, bat, stick, gorilla punch.
For me I think Aikido practice was the most amazing experience I have had in life. The serenity (we were a silent dojo), the flexibility you trained to achieve on every joint and muscle, the learning to fall, roll, recover then just learning the throws, locks, the ability to just fade away from the attack then bring in the momentum at just the right moment. And the tradition. It really is a beautiful style IMHO.
@OrangeCaesar1 You were fooled. Please, if you get in a physical altercation with someone, don't try what has been taught to you, you will get murdered.
How I passed my 4th Dan Aikido czcams.com/video/Xn-PAStZgko/video.html
All arts have their benefits...yes even Aikido. What most fail to realize is that in order to apply ANY technique first you have to stop the attackers thought process thereby his physical action...in that way the proper application of most techniques have a probability of actually working.
1. Block or evade
2. Cause pain by hitting soft targets
3. Maneuver to a position of advantage
4. Apply a takedown or immobilization technique
5. Run away
Aikido looks very powerful against an opponent who is just waiting to be thrown around like a rag doll.
In real fights, people always give an arm for free..
Just because you fight with your sister, that doesn't make you an expert.
Actually they do, every time they throw a punch or try to grab you.
@@bgdavis5089 no they dont 😂😂
No you gotta take it
@@asersah you've nevet watched a jiu jitsu match. The best way to throw someone is when you use a grab to countet into a throw. Also if you have no expierience be it in the streets or in or the ring it will make or break you.
Damn!!! But I need to see it with someone really fighting, and not just giving his arm. 🥋🤔
My Japanese language instructor in high school was at this level. A kid tried to stab him once during class and in a split second the kid was restrained and disarmed without sustaining a scratch. Teacher could have easily killed him. Aikido is a versatile art that allows for either gentleness or brutality.
@mon2gy4 34 but very few arts can cause no injury and still diffuse a situation.

Hahaha

That is not aikido. Nothing u see here is aikido, or like 20% bcos is more martial arts combined
🤣 🤣 🤣
I can only assume you critics are ignorant about life in general, because if you had any life experience you would know that most arts do practice like this including BJJ and judo. If the student does not go along they will get something broken. MMA has a mixture of all the arts so picking on this one and doing a comparison to MMA is stupid. Most importantly none of you can ever have been in a real fight, in real fights the people are not stripped down wearing lycra shorts, there is normally a lot of posturing and grabbing from which any competent Aikido, BJJ, Judo or jujitsu exponent would be able to drop someone. I trained in Jujitsu and I see many similarities in these moves, Aikido is a defensive art and also a graceful one well worth the time to learn. But as most of you know nothing about any art other than being key board masters, you will continue with your ignorant perspective on everything in life.
The other thing they are missing is this: in a real fight an attacker will use his hands to try to grab or hit. An aikido guy can then grab the attacking wrist or hand or arm and do an aikido technique. This is especially true when a puncher leaves his arm extended. People forget that aikido can also be offensive. The aikido guy can make a move (grab, whatever) and do his thing. People also forget that aikido is actually a form of jujitsu. It's effective if done correctly.
@@bgdavis5089 There is no offensive action in aikido. You must have studied something else. You are literally reacting to somebody else. Atemis come after the opponent moves to help land the technique. Atemis are not strikes perse but more distracting in nature.
Nice enemy image you constructed here. What a ridiculous blabber.

I have followed Aikido since it was introduced here. I have seen many skilled Aikido players. This man is able to do something I have never seen before. He is able to speak continuously nonstop as he executes the moves. All arts require great concentration and breath control. I just don't understand how this man is able to do this...................
i think he says those words to help in the breathing control
WOW! It is really unbelievable techniques. Something more real than reality itself! RESPECT MASTER
Those uke's are traumatized.
JH Swann jajaja
JH Swann ; ukes, not uke's.
uke??
For all those haters on this martial art, this is 4 u. This martial art is more intimidating then effective. Humans tend to get extremely powerless when you throw them on the ground, especially when you do it as a counter. In other words, when the average school denominator tries harassing you by putting their arm on ur shoulder, you grab them and throw them on the ground. They will surely be intimidating. Mind that this martial art is for self defense and not as a sport.
best aikido man ive ever seen . no bullshit just exceptional skill through dedicated training
But unfortunately the opponent is just following the groove where they want to be slammed, maybe if you fight it's not easy to be slammed to and fro.
the idea is the opponent is taught the defence to allow the instructor to carry out the move other wise the opponent ends up with a dislocated joint at the best
Великолепно мастер!!! Супермен Real Aikido)))
Don't bother arguing with people bashing Aikido and claiming black belts, purple or whatever colours in BJJ and other modern martial arts. I have TONS of friends from BJJ, MMA, kickBoxing, Muay Thai, you will never hear them trash talking other people or other martial arts. My colegue right now it's an ex Muay Thai fighter and he's very content with Aikido. Also, most of the people bad-mouthing Aikido are immature. You will find many immature people in the amateur martial arts world. I remember that 1 week ago I found a local Krav Maga dojo video, the sensei of that place said that he's gonna teach people ''the real deal, not bullshit like others''. As a martial artist I'm interested in what you can do, not in what others can't do. Some are like the politicians, give me your vote because my rival did that and that and bla bla bla, not because he wants to do something for his country.
Good video and good skill.
Adramalech, finally a concise comment here! Heartful thanks! :) Although I don't like this particular style of Aikido (I'm from an Aikikai school), but respect their viewpoint and perception of Aikido. Nevertheless, 99% of the comments are full of ignorance, incompetence and disrespect.
Is there a reason why you spit on BUSHIDO...???? The Art of fuckin' war,..just wondering. Is it so hard, to say BUSHIDO, instead of Bullshido. Oh yeah, fuck you!
This all depends on the individual and how they were taught. Too many sensei teach superiority in their discipline, and this infects a students mind. Majority of people commenting on martial arts videos have been brainwashed by the UFC. They believe that if something doesn't work in the cage, it is useless. They are those that look to train in brutal styles of combat in order to make themselves better fighters. In my opinion all styles have a benefit to them. One however should not allow the path they choose to follow to become a double edged sword. This will only lead to your own destruction either spiritually or in some cases physically. Aikido commonly is a more peaceful art and when one becomes at peace with themselves they find no reason to fight. They avoid physical confrontations because they can diffuse a situation before it becomes physical. And in this aspect Aikido is a very valid system.
"One cannot ascertain the perfections or imperfections of any chosen style if they refuse to see the value of all styles"
--- Musashi
Adramalech I agree with you. This instructor is pretty rough with his students but he gives a better account of the potential of Akido. And, I also don’t hear ‘true’ practitioners of the martial arts bashing this one or that one.
Well, but "this Aikido" is only bad executed techniques very fast :D They call it "Real Aikido" because they have "no clue about Aikido".
What most of you guys dont understand is that Aikido IS NOT MEANT to be used to fight evil like youre out of a Rocky movie, its meant to help you get away when you dont have any other choice. It doesnt have to be super useful in a street fight (even tho, if you have good reflexes, it can still be applied).
Think about people getting assaulted on the streets: the other person is not going full MMA against someone if they want to rape them or to take their purse, they will probably grab you, your clothes, or your belongings. In those situations Aikido comes real useful since IT IS whats MEANT to be used for.
Idk why yall think: not doing it in a ring=staight up useless. what kinda hoods do yall live in, where getting into street fights seems the number 1 problem??
Also another issue with yall is that 90% of people who judge Aikido have never in their lifes experienced a technique on them. It may look like the assistant is colaborating too much or being over sensitive, when in reality its either you move with them or you get your arm broken. This shit hurts like hell even when theres little pressure.
I once asked my Sensei what would he do in a specific situation, i pretended i was attacking him with a knife (at full speed also) and he, in a matter of two seconds, had me on the floor without me cooperating or moving to help him. His body moved out of muscle memory and did it without me warning him or anything. This proves that when you actually learn it correctly and practice, you CAN use it in a street fight or whatever you guys do in your free time.
Real aikido is wonderful.I like this tehnick to aikidoka

These guys practice the art as combat. This is how it should be practiced if you want to use it.
Whoosh his way fast I do aikido but would be lost doing it at that speed . Are there any more videos of this guy
I think the likes-dislike ratio clearly shows that these trolls hurrdurring about UFC being superior to everything are a shrinking vocal minority. People are sick of all the martial arts fanboyism. Anyone with half a modicum of intelligence understands that martial arts aren't a pissing contest. Competitive combat sports are not the be-all-end-all measure of a martial art's effectiveness. Every martial art was developed with a sparticular set of real-life contexts in mind and no martial art is good at every single situation, not even MMA which is specifically developed for a given set of rules in a controlled competitive environment.
Controlled nonsense
From what I can tell, Aikido is not a bad art to learn but it helps a lot to learn a striking or close combat like Judo or BJJ to compliment it especially when going against a fighter whom is experienced in arts themselves.
I'm gonna keep coming back until somebody remembers seeing Richie.

Real aikido is when the nage takes advantage of a real attack, this is no different than any aikido, except he's yelling, going very fast, and doing more atemi... I'll give him credit for the atemi, but the kiai is supposed to be louder and in their face. The problem he has is that he's not actually being attacked, aikido doesnt work unless you are being attacked.

For the love of god! Please! Aikido is not a martial art for sparring, it is about defending yourself and a way to avoid to fight without fighting your opponent! It is a transition from a samurai art to a modern art! Please stop bashing Aikido!
Fighting without fighting? Show me some!
How can you become good at defending yourself without Fucking sparring? 😂😂
Van Damme general practice. If you are ready, then you're good in the outside world.
this is the biggest fallacy of self-defense... that someone you can learn to defend yourself without actually defending yourself in training... if your training is not dynamic, not alive... meaning there is no sparring... then your training is dead training... simply using dead patterns over and over, which never happen in real life... sparring teaches you to adapt to resistance... here, there is no resistance at all... simply cooperation from uke... which NEVER happens in real life... THIS IS A DEAD MARTIAL ART... if you practice this, you end up dead...
NS Redpill most likely you would want to train for actual martial arts such as TKD, Karate, MMA, Boxing, Muay Thai, or something else that involves combat. They would all be more effective than aikido now. The martial art is dead, very few people practice it now.
the opponent is clearly allowing the teacher to perform the techniques on him.
As a beginner I tried a few ''arts''. I tried boxing, Judo, Karate and Aikido. All in all about 10-11 years in total. The one I did the longest was Goshin Ryu Karate. However, I left after a few years after some smart arse advanced brown belt (I was only on my third belt) pissed me off and I laid him out flat using basic Aikido that I had only just started learning. So its not BS. ALL the contact sports are illegal to use on the street except Aikido. As long as you don't draw blood or break anything the police won't charge you. And it's easy to learn and execute.
Amazing control of body and mind - fast and accurate moves

OK, now we all know that youre a big fan of that "Master", but its not our job to blame that fake Martial Art Experts while going to a Demo or Seminar and beat him. Do you know the difference between sparring and self defense? And what do you think if i or someone else beat this Master? No. And its not on us to blame fake masters or show the weak points in a Martial Art style because nothing will be changed after that.

Gays, just to let you know, this is Serbian stile of Aikido called Real Aikido, teached for many decades of grand master Ljubomir Vracarevic, grand master passed away, but many of masters teach still today the same way like this master....it's called WCRA(world center of real Aikido)❤
You gay
OMG HS PIN DOWN AMD LOCKING ARE SO FAST AND INCREDIBLE!!!! HANDS DOWN TO U MASTER!!!!
Serbian MASTER Mirko Jovandic have 6 DAN
And his Sensei was?....and his Sensei was?...and his Sensei was?... and on and on. How many generations down from O-Sensei?
True stupid story: when I was a kid In the mid-1980’s (obsessed with martial arts movies, etc.), I watched a documentary about “the way of the warrior” or some such thing. I was intrigued with the aikido throwing techniques demonstrated and said to my mom “reach for me like this like you want to grab me”, then I imitated what I saw, and, without intending to, flipped my mom onto the living room floor. Don’t worry she was okay. But I can attest to the effectiveness of aikido on unsuspecting mothers. In an unrelated incident I also dropped my dad in the kitchen demonstrating a fireman’s carry throw I did in judo class. He also survived. I guess I’m the reason for those “don’t try this at home” disclaimers.
Aikido has always been practiced the same way since the 1940s. The founder of Aikido never lied to anyone about his intentions. I think it’s modern day MMA fighters and ignorant people who speak negatively of Aikido. I’m reading the comments now and there are allot of dumb asses commenting. Like: “It be nice if the (karate guy) fought back.” The guy in white is not a (karate guy) he’s a lower rank student of Aikido, they don’t wear a hakama at that rank. There are many reasons why Aikidoists do what they do, all can be explained but you can only fix ignorance with knowledge but stupidity can not be repaired. Furthermore this is a demonstration, not a fight. Aikido was dynamically designed as a circuit or circle. That is why you have an Uke and Nage not two fighters. The joint locks are designed to spiral into a breaking joint without the ability to unravel. That is why you cannot spar while joint locking because you’re guaranteed to break a limb. Awaiting a barrage of dip shit replies:
in normal aikido, the uke (partner being thrown) does not resist because its part of aikido's philosophy. in "real aikido" the uke doesn't resist becuase the tori (partner performing the throw) is yanking the arm from his socket.
k
It's easy to yank an arm that is being given to you willingly. Demonstrations like this are misleading.
Or yanking uke's genitals out from the rear. Which, admittedly would make me more compliant than usual.
....In "normal Aikido" or "real Aikido" - There is no such thing as "normal Aikido" or "real Aikido".
All the students that learned closely from Ueshiba later formed their own styles and variations based on what they learned - Some softer, some harder, some even negated the Martial aspects totally and became a healing style. Believing that there is a normal Aikido style simply indicates that you have not yet evolved deep enough into the understanding of Aikido to comprehend the full spectrum of options within Aikido.
- and in several styles it is common to resist enough that if the technique is no performed correctly then it stops - or for those having enough techniques in their body they can then transition into another technique.
"It's easy to yank an arm that is being given to you willingly" if guy is holding his hands in his pockets then there is no reason to harm him because he is no danger for you, no offence but stupidity is strong in you.
Hello all...
He is teaching and showing how to do
The final knot.
I wish you meet one SENSAI like him in a street
Fight...
We will laugh much on you....take care...
Finally a demonstration of this fighting style that actually looks like the instructor is trying to use it. You watch segal and the only thing he doesnt do is yawn while his opponents fake their way thru the demo
Waiting for someone knuckle head to say, this won't work in a real fight....lol.
Excellent form, and speed. Love it!
--- Musashi
Very well put my man.
This guy is great and deadly
Wow he is good dancer!!!
I got to admit, these are some amazing moves - he moves so fast and is very accurate. But I what I don't like in these exhibition classes is that the assailant usually attacks like a 3yr old. Couldn't they make it more believable?
Beast level
Aikido can also be useful in a fight. If you don't want to kill your opponent, just use aikido to break his limbs. After that, he is still alive but he can't fight you again. Thus, you obliterate your opponent physically and psychologically.
And thats why its so good. You can laugh at your attacker afterwards
he is so good i could watch him all day, amazing. same as steven seagal. makes this look so easy.
Steven Segal is a fraud
@@TheNerd305 He's a legit martial artist.
Best aikido video yet
Lets put him in the ring with an MMA fighter and see how he does.
That guy is good. It’s kinda like... you can get the attorneys I get. Or get the ones that OJ Simpson gets. There is a difference.
*how he dies
Hyster1a , lol. Ya never know.
@@gordonwallis7275aikido is crap , everyone whos doing it believing in that and believing it gonna give u good skill to counter enemies are completely brainwashed , does it hurt you? well thats the truth
Hyster1a , well you may very well be right. So I’m not arguing. But, people don’t believe me, and say all kinds of bad shit about me, when I tell them what I do. But they are wrong. All I have to do is touch people where they hurt, touch them somewhere else, and their pain disappears. So I know for sure, that sometimes things are not what people think. Here is an example of what I do. czcams.com/video/8jqgoehVdVU/video.html.
Here is a testimonial czcams.com/video/cjBf1W-kW80/video.html. So, I’m willing to give this guy the benefit of the doubt. Nobody, except the people I work on, and the medical doctors I work with, believe what I do is real.
If this guy and Steven Seagull got together they would have a flipping good time.
Are you flipping first?, or me?
Most interesting dance class I've seen for a while.
Andy MacPherson Steven doesn’t flip, he rolls😂🤣
Now this is real aikido 👍🏽💫
Aikido is pretty art in motion.
I love the Moving Meditation of classical Aikido. With no disrespect to this guy, but isn't he demonstrating Aiki-Jutsu/ Ju-Jitsu
Well said. Gymnastics 101
This is too clumbsy to be called Aikido.
