    We are planning an expansion of our CZcams channel so we are looking for people that are interested in helping out on the channel.
    You don’t need to be an expert you just need to want to get involved.
    We are also looking for people that have some experience in aikido/ judo or any martial art that has falls, as you will need to be able to roll !
    If you are interested send us a direct message (DM) either on the CZcams channel or facebook/twitter.
    You need to either live or be able to get to London (UK) as that’s where we run our CZcams channel from.

      合気道では殴打はしないんじゃないの。これは合気道を応用した護身術ですね。
      In Aikido, physical attack is NOT supposed to do, so what u r doin' is so called Goshin-jutsu which means the way of defendin oneself. However, for me, ur Aikido is more practical in the street fight.

      Id have to say in any real fight i may have seen, if they can fight, striking is most of it. I've never seen joint locks irl, only sorry attempts, including this All-State wrestling guy who the boxer wrecked, I'd like to though. 🥊

    • @serenityinside1
      @serenityinside1 Před 5 měsíci

      The founder said “ 90% of aikido is atemi” … then he turned away from highly effective proven akijutsu to creating the piece loving/ largely ineffective Aikido taught now 🙄.
      The above is much more the original system and thus with great merit for today’s society 👍

    Funny thing about the dog coming into the video. Would have to wonder how an Aikidoka would handle an attack by a large, vicious dog. I remember reading a book of survival many years ago in which the author described (and included a diagram) that if the dog latches onto your forearm the release technique is to snake your other forearm behind his neck and then snap your captured forearm up and back, which will cause either the dog to release their grip (and hopefully run away in pain) or his neck to be broken. Sounds like an Aikido-type move to me! 😮

      ILLAngel101 honestly if you don’t train against a resisting opponent then absolutely none of this will come in handy in a fight. If you train to use these moves against a sparring partner then sure, they’re pretty standard techniques that are not unique to aikido at all.

    • @obi501
      @obi501 Před 4 lety +1

      You gotta train, if you don't, you won't do this

    • @perrypelican9476
      @perrypelican9476 Před 4 lety +1

      David Geldner totally agree. These are just techniques that may be effective, but are definitely not guaranteed to work, especially if never practiced. Can you imagine someone being attacked trying to remember this video. Thinking to himself: " mmm what was that move I'm supposed to do now. Hey buddy hang on , I have to check my iPhone so I don't do this technique wrong." Thinking you have techniques to win a fight after watching these videos without ever practicing is more dangerous than if you never watched them because you will have a totally false feeling of confidence and get your ass kicked. Ok, if you practice against a sparring partner who is trying to beat you, then, and only then can these techniques help you. Even people who train regularly are not necessarily good in a fight. You MUST actually train with sparring against an opponent who is trying to beat you up, if you want to be able to fight. Just the fear of being hit, will make you panic and freeze. Then how will you execute your never practiced stuff?

    • @cliffbooth7075
      @cliffbooth7075 Před 4 lety +1

      I enjoyed the video. But even getting to the point of using something simpler like kick boxing to defend yourself in a fight takes practice to perfect reaction timing & to generate maximum striking power in a coordinated manner. Parrying full speed punches requires practice. Counter striking requires practice. Using a flowing sequence of moves requires practice. Aikido is a fiddly complicated martial art and takes much longer to learn and be able to use it in the real world without copping a belting as a result. Aikido also doesn’t incorporate any striking, so chances are if you learn it, it will be a softer style with poor training techniques which include people running at you with their arm held out for you to grab.

    Very cool vid! On that last technique I see that instead of the throat smash you could just as easily do a palm heel strike to roll the head back on the neck or just elbow straight through the nose, each of which would be a shocker but wouldn't crush the larynx.

    The techniques that you showed as the non-dojo techniques are the ones we do in daito Ryu Aikijujitsu (Kodakai). We practice them that way in the dojo (at about 50-70% speed and power and sometimes higher) but the uke has to be really good and be able to save themselves otherwise we slow it down a lot. Good stuff... keep showing practice vs reality videos with the bunkai.
