    I have adjusted the cable on my vintage 1971 Kawasaki Trail Boss 100 (3300 original miles) but it still doesn't disengage the clutch when putting it in gear? Your video mentioned other parts that might need replacing? Any guesses as to my problem? Thanks!

    I've replaced my cable with a motion pro and routed it In factory position and when bars are to the left no free play bars to the right alot ot free play

    Do you have to lube it? I don't have oil for that wd40 works for that or not?

    what if the new cable is still too tight on the loosest setting on the adjuster by the engine and by the clutch lever? i bought the same cable for my model bike

      @@ghostlystatue7933 I just took out the inner ring by the adjuster by the clutch lever which gave me a few extra mm to work with.Then tightened it all the way then adjusted it by the engine. If that makes any sense

    My clutch cable snapped a few days ago, I’m waiting on a new one but when I pull in the where the clutch cable attaches to it doesn’t actually engage the clutch. Should I be concerned?

      Are you talking about the actuating arm that's on the engine? If the clutch worked before the cable broke, it should work again as soon as you get the new cable on. czcams.com/video/9s8FqEBONlk/video.html -Charles

    I have a question, my clutch hangs freely, like if I pull it in it stays and I have to manually push it out, and the clutch just doesn’t work itself, what could be the problem?

      I would assume you have springs installed in the clutch basket, so maybe your rod isn't in correctly or have no rod at all?

    Mine is on the side like mentioned. Is there a reason behind doing below first, lever last? I ask because that's how you explained. Just wanted to be sure

      Adjusting the clutch side first allows you to make bigger adjustments so that you can do your fine tuning on the lever side to get the correct free play and to make future adjustments when components wear.

    I have a old Chinese bike not sure what routing should be done. Was replaced before but porly and I feel like that’s
    Not the right way to rout it. Clutch still isn’t fitting it’s hot out and I’m grumpy 😅

      Castaways_fishing that’s just the clutch being too tight but it is ok, you might want to make it a little more slack, until you can shift it into gear and not stall

      My new bike came with clutch drag. It seems pretty normal. New plates could get rid of it though. I heard roughing up surfaces of the plain plates helps them hold oil and reduces clutch drag.

      It’s because it’s a wet clutch and the motor got to be running for the clutch to engage

    This does not work. I tried it my bike, and it does not turn whatsoever to even get to it and for the break that’s already set up for it. It doesn’t pull out.

      It controls the engagement of the clutch without leaking fluid or air bubbles impacting it.
