Hi all! I finished my radiation treatments! I am now cancer free and 6 months after radiation. I still have throat pain and trouble talking. I am finally getting 90% of my taste back. A lot of things still bother me to eat like liquor lol! But I have learned that any type of diary mixed with liquor isn't bad! lol I love this guy for making these videos! Watch all of them he is right! To anyone out there fighting cancer, I love and pray for you multiple times a day! Love Jesus and he will heal you if it is his will! I love you all and stay strong!

What were some of your early symptoms? How many drs did you see before you were diagnosed?

Thanks for uploading the video . I'm curious if what was the first symptoms you had if you can still remember ? Is it good to go directly to ENT ? My ear is aching , stuffed nose , blood on phlegm & very tiny bump on my neck lymph node and pain under my skull at the back of my neck . Did you have a PET scan immediately? Or it was already big lump you experienced when you went to the doctor?

Hey Jason, Hope you're doing well bro. I was curious, what was it like to have throat cancer and how did you find out about it? Thanks for sharing with us and take care

Brandon I started feeling a lump under my right jawbone. It wasn't painful, just a growing lump. Turns out that was my secondary tumor; my initial tumor was at the back of my throat.

What’s your update now 6/18/19. I’m going thru tongue Cancer and in my 5th week of Chemo/Radiation 2 more weeks to go. Now it hurts so bad to eat and swallow.
How long after the treatment did you start able to eat, drink and your taste buds back?

Hi Maria, you're probably done with your rad treatments now huh? The recovery is very long, like several months before I could taste and slowly start to eat more normal foods. Now, even 5 years later I still have a hard time with dry meats and wines. Overall I've recovered far better than I expected, and my life is very very good. Just remember that recovery is slow extremely slow, some days you feel you're making no progress. In those cases it helps to look back a few weeks to see progress. Just keep getting those calories in you to let your body heal.. You got this Maria!!
