    Hey Techies! I'm still trying to get back into the swing of things. With that said, I did make an error when tallying the results for Cloudflare. The results should actually be 20/50.

  • @IReallyDontKnowWhatToEnterHere

    oh damn you're back, this is a throwback lol.

    The ONLY difference between free and paid NextDNS account is that free users won't get the filtering,etc after they reach 300,000 DNS queries a month, which is already more than enough for many people. Calling it useless is just incorrect

    NextDNS for malware and ads blocking, Cloudflare for a little less security and higher speed.

    Thank you.
    I would love to see Adguard DNS and Mullvad DNS in the comparison!

    nice test! next time add: adguard dns, cleanbrowsing dns, neustar dns. btw google dns doesnt really do any filtering.

    I notice that you didn't enable the feature for Next DnS that blocks newly created Domains, I want you to test more malicious domains with that feature enabled and compare it to Quad9

    NextDNS is much faster response and latency than cloudflare in my ISP. But i believe because nextDNS have dedicated server in my country but cloudflare doesnt.

      @@franciscorestrepo1042 Quad9 is the best for privacy I don't think anyone is actually better the problem is while you will have consistent speeds you may not get the absolute fastest speeds. Depending on how far you are on a node. You may not even notice the chnage which is a good situation.

    Adding a 3rd party block list to NextDNS is not really testing NextDNS where you didn’t change anything for the others. So NextDNS out of the box experience would be a worse result.

  • @user-et1pz7po2bxgfdseqazxse7e2

  • @franciscorestrepo1042

    Hello have you tested Controld DNS?

  • @HexPortal
    @HexPortal Před 3 lety +3

    Why would you even test Google's DNS? It is not made for blocking domains, they specifically state that. It is a public, fast resolver for unfiltered clean results that came straight from the root servers without any modifications. It's a DNS that just works. It is the same as if you ran your own recursor.
