Not done this since Spain... a very British vanlife! (vanlife UK)
So this week I get to go off on another little solo female vanlife adventure!
It's a pretty exciting trip as I get to do something I've not been able to do since we drove our self converted campervan to Spain!
I can't tell you how good it feels to be back out on the road in our tiny home on wheels, even though I'm only exploring locally, being out in the open and amongst nature again feels amazing... provided I can find park ups of course... is it true that vanlife here in the UK is under threat? it's definitely getting harder that's for sure!
Also we have something to tell you this week that many of you will find disappointing, but, PLEASE don't hate us, we are hoping our alternative will keep those of you on team Emily happy!
So I hope you enjoy coming on this mini little adventure with me, having a look at what Kent has to offer along the River Stour and into Chilham, even though it does take a very British turn for the worse, and hopefully you can cope with the lack of Emily for one week, although she still finds a way to sneak herself in the vlog!

As much as I enjoy your excellent film making skills, and the way you make compicated cuts and sound effects seem easy, it's always the story I come back for. You are both just a lot of fun to follow along with :)
I'm sure many of us have watched CZcamsrs with cinema class filming skills (as are yours Lou), but they don't have an interesting story... I lose interest very quickly no matter how clever the production has been.
You both have a lot to be proud of, and I for one respect that you're considerate of other cultures and make that a priority over giving the people what they want. I'll enjoy whatever challenge comes along. Also.. great to see your subscriber numbers climbing!

Well i have just watched every video from the start to now and its good and bad, the good bit is i have been allowed to go along with your adventures from building the van to touring, warts and all. The bad bit is, i cannot binge watch you any more. I love you two and you really take the time to invite the viewers along with you. you are both mad as a box of frogs but i love also the way that you dont take life seriously and prefer to have fun and live your lives the way you want. The breakdown scenario, imagine how easy it would have been to just pop on a pane but with AJ being there, that was never an option, despite some serious issues you remained positive throughout. I really wish you all the best in your future travels, as for which team i am on, team Em, team lou, sorry i am team Campervibe (team AJ secretly)

You were in my neck of the woods🙂 We canoe on the stour all the time, and mountain bike from Chilham car park. If you haven't been back to try Shelley's since, you should, their cream tea is awesome. Some notes on the stour:- There is lots of visible evidence of badgers all along the tidal stretch, but you'll be very very lucky to spot one, they are very elusive. In spring and summer you'll see a million swans though, some very protective of their signets, so give them a wide berth. High tide at Grove is about 2 hours after high tide at Ramsgate, so if you want to make it to Fordwhich and back, leave Grove 2hr before high tide at Ramsgate and you'll be flushed there and back😉 Do not ask Canoe Wild for advice, they are useless! And they don't give any instruction when you hire a boat. And if you ever fancy paddling sit in kayaks from Whitstable harbour, search for Whitstable Canoe Club on Facebook.

I love watching your solo camps just as much as when you are together and I really love it when you get to go stealth camping on your own with that tarp and the hanging tree hammock tent , fire 🔥 is so important to experience outside I loved it, and of course that’s what I used to do full on stealth camping all the time, sometimes I would set up a camp and stay there in the wilderness for months at a time, and spent nearly two years on an uninhabited island, called Lobos, that was 30 years ago, now you can’t even take a tent to that island , they search you on and off the small boat and your not allowed off the pathway even, that’s what happens when people think it’s ok to leave their rubbish and pollute the place with plastic, the ajuntemente of the Canary Islands made Lobos ax protected environment , now if you add one single thing or take one single thing from the Island you can get up to 10 years in a Spanish jail, I kid you not, In La Palma you have to take your passport to the Adjuntemente ( Council board). In the tiny capital of the island, and you buy a permit for a max of 2 days to enter the Caldera De Tributante national park, and you are arrested by Park police on horseback up the side of the mountain, where helicopters fly beneath you, not above you .
The whole Island is a protected biosphere, because prehistoric ferns and other species of prehistoric herb and plant life still grow there, luckily the recent eruption there didn’t destroy the national park or Los Tilos haunted woods- I do not recommend sleeping there, I kid you not. I wish people could understand how important it is to protect our surroundings where ever we tread, there would then be more freedom in places like this. It’s the same with park ups like your always gratefully reminding van drivers. Soon the government will take action and start making money from Van Lifers, push everyone onto the same pitch and start fining by numberplate offenders, what’s worse tho is that people will simply not be able to do it anymore, because of a wreck less few, I really was annoyed when you found your tripod in what looked like human excrement my lovely, if people do need to crap outside all you need to do is take a gardening trowel dig a hole place some rocks around the hole, sit on them take a comfortable crap, take your small bag of sawdust out your pocket cover the poo place the dirt and then the rocks on top of it, that way it stops infection feeds the environment and with the rocks placed on top which were your comfortable throne, it gives nature the chance to Benifit from poo - snappy happy poo 💩 loo ! It literally takes just 2 minutes to build that loo especially in Scotland. Where there are an abundance of rocks and earth- hope your tripod was ok after that . Thank you so much I’m off now to see if I can find some more of your stealth solo camp outs to watch ! Maybe you can try out my snappy happy poo loo 💩 😂😂😂😂 and tell me the world how comfortable it really is to do that , pointy rocks underneath and smooth level ones to make the rim of course 🤣 Old 🦉 Owl Alaya UK.
Nice touch putting pictures of Em into the vlog she wasn't in but where were the pictures of AJ? OK I know he's busy at the moment guest staring with Cooper on Bob and Wendys channel and also popping up on Mr and MRs Rubble's channel but he really does need to appear on his own channel as well :-)

What Terry Straw wrote, plus I was blown away by the location, as I lived at Chartham for 7 happy years, which is really close to Chilham. We used to go and eat at one of the pubs in Chilham from time to time. Pure nostalgia now that I’m 10,500 miles away and unlikely to return even for a visit.
I’ve said before that you are too hard on yourself, this video was delightful, funny and entertaining. Haters are always going to hate!

I've got to admit that at the outset in the first videos I didn't 'click' with Emily, but through my engagement with your journey I came to 'know' her and really, really, got to adore her. I honestly have no favourite as you are both so distinctly different in personality. Camper Vibe really is the sum of the parts and that's where the magic is made. Long may it last 🤗
Hi brilliantly done video again. The fencing is to stop otters as there’s possibly 100' of 1000's of pounds £££ worth of fish in the lake. Otter whilst cute and cuddly can decimate a fishing lake.

I have that same kayak (well, the one-seater) and love it. Live in an old dutch city and mainly use it on the city canals which is a lovely way to go through the city. Absolutely loved the kayaking b-roll!

Haha we called our tandem thunderbird 4 one of our Vlogs as it goes inside our van to travel. Your trip on the river reminded me of a curry I once had. It was a chicken Tarka - it’s like a Tikka but a little ‘otter. Great video Lou - do not sweat over the content balance. Every video I have watched has stood on its own merits. As long as enjoy doing the production, fantastic. If it becomes a pain - stop and go and torment Emily. Suggestion - how about a bit of paracord tied onto the go-pro (wrist loop?). Grab the cord first and then reach up to the camera when moving its position.
Now that would be a sensible thing to do 😆
We love making the vlogs and want it to stay that way and we it changes we will take a break but for now we enjoy it too much 😁
