- SAGIP Party-list Rep. Rodante Marcoleta summarized the arguments against the granting of a new franchise for ABS-CBN as the House of Representatives concluded hearings at the committee level. The hearing was suspended while Marcoleta was speaking due to technical problems. This is the second part of his speech.
The Committee on Legislative Franchises, and Good Government and Public Accountability held 12 joint hearings on issues related to the network's franchise.

I also admire his "IBATO-BATO MO NA LANG" (translates into English as "JUST THROW IT AROUND") theme in his summation speech - Pure Genius! - as direct quote of ex-Executive of ABS CBN Gabby Lopez who is 100% pure American.
If Mr. Lopez can speak of and treat his American citizenship and privilege in such manner (something that he can "just throw around"), then indeed SELF-INTEREST is the only mantra the Lopez family chants and believes deeply in life.

Then, they they saw Noli De Castro walks out of the building. They hurriedly went to him and ask:

And as all these inevitable truths slowly unfold, each of the millions of Filipinos who followed this ordeal of Congress Hearing is left with mixed feelings relief, vindication, satisfied, anger, upset, unsatisfied.....
