- Welcome to the soundset for a semi-modular synth Moog Matriarch.
"Polychrome" is a collection of 50 paraphonic presets that includes vintage strings, lo-fi keys, rich pads, warm stabs/chords, bright leads, dark drones, generative-style and FX-like timbres. The presets vary greatly from the point of view of complexity: some are simpler and will work in any track and genre, some are experimental and will make your tracks sound unique.
📙 Get the soundset: antonanru.sellfy.store/p/matr...
The soundset is suitable for ambient, electronica, techno, minimal, deep, house, progressive, trance, psy, lounge, chill out, downtempo, IDM, industrial, breaks, drum'n'bass and others.
Matriarch suggests great tools for stereo sound: two filters, independent VCAs, BBD Delay. I modulated them a lot to create wide and beautiful patches, that can be hardly recreated on other hardware (especially analog) synths. Matriarch has an absolutely fantastic feature set and I tried to intensively use it to create exclusive timbres.
The soundset is presented in the form of PDF-Document. Each page contains notes that explain how the patch works, what parameters worth tweaking during the playback, how to develop the timbre during a performance. If you make all the settings consciously and try the things mentioned in the notes, you will learn many things about the synth and discover its true depth.
Each patch has an audio example, it helps to understand how a patch is supposed to sound. No external effects on Matriarch, built-in BBD Delay only.

🔊 Patches for Moog synthesizers: bit.ly/3UJvLi8
Absolutely the best Matriarch sound demo out there, taking full use of its modularity and paraphony. Very well done. 👍🏻
Thank you🙏
agreed!
Hey! Great sounds! Love the Matriarch!
Absolutely lovely, will surely grab them!
Thank you for support
Thanks for doing these, some great patches, I’ll be hammering some of them out myself .
thank you for the feedback
Legend!! Thank you so much 🙏 amazing patches
thank you
Phenomenal patches on a phenomenal instrument. Very well done.
Thank you
Brought these patches yesterday, amazing. thank you.
Thank you for the feedback
These are gorgeous. Very tasteful.
Thank you
beautiful -- the artistic opportunity of a demo is often overlooked, thank you for this thorough video :)
Thank you for mentioning the video. I've made a big effort
More great stuff Anton! Your patches for the moog semi modulars taught me so much!
Thank you for the feedback
Great one!
Complex & organic
Thanks🙌
Inspiring sounds. I’m learning the Matriarch and just purchased your patch set. Can’t wait to recreate these to see where it leads me. Thank you!
Thank you. Wish you best results
just fantastic. thank you.
🙏
These patches are DOPE!! Inspired. 🔥🎹 Nice Anton.
Thank you
Man, the Destiny sound is sick! Interesting samples altogether. Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback
Fantastic patches. Love the site for all the patches. keep up the cool work. I'm fully inspired. 🔥🧨
Thanks for the feedback.
I have purchased a couple of your patch books now and I enjoy them!
Thanks for support
I'm really big into synths, but will get this pack just to lean some ideas I haven't even thought about. Really great job on this, haven't found anyone else making as musical patches for it yet like this either. I've listened to this pack multiple times on repeat just because its so chill
Thank you for the feedback. This is my favourite video on my channel)
Makes me really, really want a Matriarch. Bravo! 👌
That's one of the goals of this video)
Oh yeah! Well done Anton.
Thank you
This sounds sooo good.
Thanks
Спасибо за прекрасные пэтчи!🙏
Рад радовать)
thank you!
Wow these patches sound soooooo good. I’m going to try a few of them out when I get home!
Thank you
Really beautiful. Because inspiring and useful for me as a professional composer. Many many thanks 🤩🌹
Thank you for the feedback
Deep stab is a banger. Jesus 🔥🔥🔥🔥
BBD Worship sounds incredible, very inspiring
Thank you
Great patches!
I'd love to see an experimental & generative patch-set for Matriarch
Will be soon😉
Ok…..I own a Waldorf Iridium keyboard, a Roland system 8, a Novation summit.
I have watched reviews and tutorials on the matriarch and just could not justify adding it to my arsenal.
I gotta say, Your patches really provide the required LISTEN TO THIS that forces a decision.
I’m not completely certain I’m getting one yet but you’ve certainly given me a new opinion! You make this thing sound truly ALIVE. Moog should pay you royalties
Thank you for the feedback. You may also contact moog) they still don't pay me)
I watched this and just purchased a Dark Matriarch :). Great work, Anton. You really helped to show what this instrument can do, and I’ll be purchasing your patch guide!
thank you for the feedback
This is gorgeous work. I'm a Matriarch owner and composer and am very inspired by what you've done here -- might buy yourpatches because there are always new things to learn about this beautiful thing.
Thank you for the feedback. Wish you inspiration and fun with matriarch
I keep coming back just to listen to the sounds. Amazing work. If I only could buy a Matriarch... I'd buy the set to learn the synth programming.
Wish you getting matriarch one day
Absolutely brilliant work! If I didn't already have a Matriarch, this would have been the final straw.
Thank you
impressive 🤩🤩🤩
thanks
Merci beaucoup 😁
you are welcome
Thank you so much for this. I just recieved my Matriarch AND Moog One a few days ago. It's my first time with analog synths like this. I've been producing for over 20 years for many genres of artists and feel it is time to take my creation process to a true analog level, rather than using workstations and VSTs.
You've got nice synths now. Wish you having fun
Beautiful, simply Beautiful patches and sound design.
Well done mate, very very impressive indeed.
I don't own one myself but I might have to have a closer look at one now, seems to be a very capable synth for with a wide variety of sound design options.
I would imagine to get the best out of this synth you need a pretty good understanding of modular patch cable routing.
Anyways, subscribed.
Once again, congrats on such a fantastic set of sounds.👌
Thank you for the feedback
Beautiful.
Thanks
@@AntonAnruYou're welcome. This could be my next hardware synth. I was thinking about the Prophet 5 but it's just too pricy. I think the Matriarch is a great alternative, especially as it can do so much sound design. ❤️
@@AntonAnrumeanwhile I bought a Matriarch. It sounds 70th and I love it's core character. ❤
Congrats!
Great!
very BoC, good work
Thanks
Would love to see a video of you playing with the whole moog semi modular family wired together
Good idea!
There's been a strong demand for Moog Martriarch since the release of your patches! 👏
Matriarch is so nice, that it makes me think sometimes of getting the second one 😀
@@AntonAnru What about the Moog one ?
@midifilescom I'm not really interested in one. Too oversaturated synth to my taste.
Nice!
Thanks
Just bought both packs, amazing stuff
I own many synths and a large euro, never bought any patches as I’m an “init” guy. Had to buy these though 😊
Hope you'll enjoy them
This is very inspiring. I'm interested in learning how to play the synth and wondering if you teach lessons. I really love your sounds!
you may get the patches. you will learn lots of things
If you have a synth just read the manual and twiddle the knobs. That’s the best way to learn, and taking notes will help you connect functions and ideas together
As an Ableton and synthesis trainer I should say, that learning from someone's else work/projects/presets/etc - is a helpful practice. It doesn't mean one should ignore manuals. Manual is the first and important step
I’ll buy one, once I get some more 💵
Is there a way to reproduce the preset "Shudder" with the Grandmother? Or at least to get close to it?
I really doubt. I intensively used Matriarch features here, and grandmother lacks them
👏
wow, really cool sounds, for me as a Matriarch beginner a good starting point, how long do you work on this patches?
Thank you. It took me 3 weeks
@@AntonAnru respect...ok I ordered your patch book...
Thank you for support
Will you ever make mono/ duophonic patches for matriarch too? Love this demo and all the sounds!
Also will your grandma patches work for matriarch too?
thank you for the feedback. I'll make more patches for matriarch for sure, I guess in a couple of months. Different types
@@payamrahrow4108 currently, I can't guarantee that Grandmother patches will work 100% same on Matriarch. Yes, Matriarch has everything Grandmother has, but I guess there may be some nuances. I will explore this topic soon to give a confident answer, and I will make a video about it. Stay tuned
@@AntonAnru Excited for your feedback
@@AntonAnru experimental monophonic ones would be really cool! I'd buy them like your polychrome set.
What did you use for drums on this demo? Sounds killer!
just samples from different sources
I know it's been forever, but are you sure the strings machine patch is the correct sound sample to the PDF? The brightness on the high notes definitely don't come through like this at all for me even adjusting delay mix, seems next to impossible to get the lfo to cycle slow or fast enough to not utterly wreak havoc on oscillator 2/4, attack seems off on the amplitude. Not talking shit or anything, just absolutely love this patch and am doing everything attempting to get this sound lol
Amazing sounds.
I absolutely love the Matriarch. However, there's a bug with paraphonic mode that makes the notes last slightly longer than they are pressed, making impossible to play staccato notes. Once this is fixed I'll be finally happy with mine.
I never faced any problems like this
@@AntonAnru From 1.3.0 Release notes :
"KNOWN OUTSTANDING ISSUES AS OF V1.3.0:
[...]
Paraphonic Mixer Gate Length - Mixer gate can stay high longer than keys are pressed.
[...]"
In practice, if you hold a note and play other notes "on top", these notes are gated longer than the actual key presses. It's super noticeable with short notes.
I ❤ Destiny.
Nice choice
what are the drums on deep stab? 18:08
That was just some sample/loop...
that first sequence is catchy as can be
Are there any external FX applied?
No
@@AntonAnru WOW
It's in a track with multiple instruments and rhythm section, when certain sounds, sequences, patches etc come to bloom, whilst on their own they sound....lost.
amazing synthesis skill.
all your dfam/subharmonicon/mother 32 etc... are very unique. not generic.
i like to ask you a couple of things. i tried to contact you on facebook but did not succeed. i also tried to send you a question on your patches site . could i ask you a couple of questions on email ?
Sure, could you write me on email? anru.anton@gmail.com
@@AntonAnru
thank you anton. i sent you an email
Does the delay use bbd chips?
it's a true BBD delay, but I can't say what chips does it use
Can you save the patches internally on the synth??
No. It's a modular synth
Ok, this is surprising. I didn’t think it was possible to have presets/patches with a Matriarch? I’m guessing you provide documents for settings? A patch sheet?
Sounds wonderful, btw.
that's right. it's a pdf-file with the pictures that have all settings. you may see an example on the product page, or in this video in the first chapter
@@AntonAnru I’m considering the Matriarch. Weighty purchase though.
You can have patches but You can't have presets. In other words you can't save these patches and revisit them later. The patch sheets are used to re-patch the sounds as needed. The Matriarch doesn't have a digital memory bank. It's completely analog. These are some amazing sounding patches.
@@dazeja thank you
@@AntonAnru What are your thoughts on the Matriarch? The quality of the sound, any drawbacks (besides polyphony).
These are fantastic! Although I'm happy to make my own Matriarch patches, these are too good to pass up. Just purchased the pack and I'm looking forward to exploring these and building off them. Cheers! Here's an example of one my more experimental patches, if you're interested -- it goes from biting to blissful in the course of this impov. :) czcams.com/video/WPIrmtob7ro/video.html
thank you for the feedback
Nice, but mostly too washed-out and ambient for my tastes.
thank you. yes, I tended to make atmospheric stuff
And to just imagine an EIGHT VOICE, PROGRAMABLE MATRIARCH? I’m saving my money already!!!
It won't be a programable matriarch. I think it's gonna be something like a simpler moog one, a polyphonic synth. It's difficult to put a modular design inside a regular one
