Our regular dumplings are plain flour ones (what Jamaicans call Spinners)...are small roundish. We have another thing called Duff, which is big like the log one Debbie made here, and are made with baking powder and rises. Thats usually made with methem, but some people also make it when they do boil provisions. Sometimes people also sautee / fry after its cooked.... as Boil and Fry. It's also like what Debbie here said, people in the country side still cook food that city folks forgot about.

Hi Ms Debbie! I love your energy & style of cooking - much love! We Haitians mostly cook our dumplings in with the peas/beans or with soup. I've never used green plantain when making dumplings, so I will have to give this a try. Sometimes I use cassava flour, & that makes a really good dumpling. How do you make yours with cassava?
