I see Raven Guard, I press the like button EXTRA hard.
Two notes: (1) Gets Hot on the plasma bikes is ap4, so armour save is allowed. The model that rolled a 1 loses its shot even if it survives the wound. (2) Apothecary on bike has one wound not two. Excellent battle with two very nicely painted armies. I enjoyed it immensely.
the apothecary also cant take a plasma weapon on his bike rules as written
@@zackerychaffee1363 Correct. The apothecary was modelled with a plasma cannon, but I don't think it fired the plasma during the game. It does have a heavy bolter that wasn't fired. Small mistakes that happen in every game I've ever played. Doesn't keep me from enjoying watching or playing. There is no such thing as a perfect game.
The Raven player also never applied negatives to his leadership checks for losing 25%, 50%, or 75% of his units. He acted like his checks were always 7 or 8 regardless.

To be fair, the Night Lords won because they were led by the one of the best First Captain's in Astartes history. Jago Sevatarion is second to none and one of the reasons I enjoy the Night Lords so much as a faction. Thanks winters for this awesome Horus Heresy Battle Report.

Those Javlins "land speeders" look so sic ! My favorite bike is still the very first dark eldar jet bike. I do love the new ones but the old ones look so sic. The new ones helmets look wicked. Thanks for sharing.
Weapon destroyed result must be a "main weapon",so not the bolter (defensive weapon) but the laser weapon would be destroyed as far as i remember.

Hey Winters, I don't think you're able to reroll cover saves for the Heavy Support Squad. It says in the book that they can reroll armour saves which i believe are classed as a different save to say a cover or invulnerable save. Great batrep btw!
Lovely game! love how you set up your boards in a very realistic manner! beautiful looking and balanced armies too! Rule note: the Javelins do have the "Hit and Run" ability, so could exit combat if they passed a leadership test at the end of the fight phase. Also, the Raven Guard power armored infantry forgot to roll their Talon ability: 6+ shrouded saves when shot at from more then 8" away. Could have helped the Ravens survive a bit longer.

At 1.21 the raven guard termies take a reroll to hit from the Caplin due to hatred but this only works on the first round… not all rounds

Lovely RG army. I did have a chuckle when you said you didn't have much anti infantry, after showing 4 sniper squads and the dark furies.

I love the idea that the basic Rhino has a Multi-Melta on it... Makes sense you'd want a big AT gun on your Transport.

I thought you could only have two ‘choosers of the slain’ in a Dark Fury squad, however the rules seem to be spurious (as GW rules tend to be).
Don’t forget Dark Fury’s re-roll dangerous terrain rolls.

Think it was a slip of the tongue in the intro but Night VISION ignores shrouding, not Night Fighting. Pretty sure you meant Night Vision though.
I'd put the Chaplain in the Dark Furies personally.
Did you say a few melta bombs in Recon squads? They're an all or nothing option so 5 man unit is 25 pts more for bombs.

So something we do at my locals is everyone plays their legion before they have their primarchs. Example myself i play warhounds, war born and imperial heralds

Vehicles are not locked in combat so the surrounded rhino can ram the surrounding tactical squad and the scimitar jet bikes are not protected from shooting just because they charged the laser destroyer
Apoth's also can't join Command Squads because they're all characters, the Primus Medicae ignores this. You can however mix Terminators and non terminators, there's nothing in the rules stopping you taking a power armour praetor with terminators etc.
Would perhaps work best with tartaros terminators as they move around the same speed as the artificer armour praetor and can do sweeping advances.
Although the cataphractii guarding an artificer armour praetor might work

At 1:16 when the rhino was hit with the three penetrating hits, shouldnt you have rolled to see if it blew up before disembarking? You didnt glance it to death after all.

@@alfadasfire A lot of the basic stuff weirdly ends up being cheaper than normal 40k, like Termies coming 10 to a box for less than 2 boxes of 40k Termies.

I know YOU LOVE LOVE LOVE the game.
I REALLY LIKE the Horus Heresy books, stories, art, etc.
However I and I am sure others that love your battle reports, do not want to see so so so many Horus Heresy battle reports.
I have played Nids since 2nd - 3rd edition. So I will never see Nids in one of these reports.
I have and love Drukhari I will never see them in one of these.
I have a Kasrkin Militarum Tempestus force I will never see them in one of these.
I do not even play space marines but even if I did if I had ANY successor chapter I would never see them in one of these.
Horus Heresy seems so almost haphazard and so random. So much blows up, so many times whole units are deleted, unit just fall off the AO. Often ending on the luck of one dice roll. Almost seems silly at times.
Games Workshop has had three new editions since 7th and this is just basically 7th edition right?
Winters we have communicated in chats and I have told you I cannot play anymore and can only play Kill Team at home with my son-in-law.
Your battle reports is the only WH40K I get. You are the BEST content creator in the Sol system I mean it.

Some people really enjoy heresy though. I watch purely heresy battle reports and don’t play 40k - I find it cringe and competitive compared to the much more grand and narrative heresy battles.
Completely fair to request more of what you like but bare in mind some people really enjoy Heresy and prefer it to the mess that is 40k
I don’t play HH but I like the different approach and it’s good to have a variety of stuff on the channel. Looking back, 8 out of 34 batreps since the end of June have been HH: that doesn’t seem “too many” to me, especially as they’ve been mixed across members-only and free-to-view
There are so many great 40k battle report channels. There is a large variety to pick from. No need to try and force things awkwardly like this. Also the majority of his videos are already 40k so it seems quite insincere to say there's too much Heresy.
Untitledname. There are alot of good battle report channels on CZcams. However Winters is the best in the Sol system.
I have been a subscriber supported since early eighth edition. I have been a pateron of DZTV and I am now a Tier 4 sponsor.
Apparently simply voicing ones opinion is now awkward. Just like so much intolerance on CZcams and in the world in general.
When I see A HH battle report I register a like reguardless to support Winters.
I know Winters loves HH battle reports. I would offer the majority of his supporters play WH40K.
That is why I starting watching him and financially supporting him.
When HH comes up it is like saying if you like:
Any Space Marine Successor chapters, Imperial Guard, Sisters of Battle, Grey Knights, Deathwatch, Imperial Knights, Adeptus Mechanicus, Craftworld Eldar, Harlequins, Drukhari, Tyranids, Orcs, Ge estealer Cult, Tau, Leagues of Vouton, and others I sure I missed, this report is not what you want. That is a lot of supporters to brush off.
There are probally WH40K and HH players. I do not know any. My local GW store tell me HH is just played by a small group of hardcore players so not a sizeable number much less a majority.
I wish Winters would just cut back on HH or make another channel dedicated to just that.
Again guess society will NOT tolerate ANY descent as you have shown. One person expressing one opinion must be a gigantic threat to you. Sorry it is so upsetting.
Although I do not enjoy HH content at all I will of course continue to support Winters with likes, views, my subscription, and, financially despite my quite limited income. Do you?
I am sure I am not alone. Just wish for more variety and the chance to possibly see our factions and their armies. Not just these 18 legions fighting on and on and on.
