- We visited the biggest temple complex ever built in the world in Siem Ream, Cambodia. We were fortunate to be able to get a guided tour in this magnificent area just outside of the centre of Siem Reap. Surely this was one of the most interesting days since I've been in Cambodia.

My favourite ruins in the world!! I surprised myself by getting up to see dawn on all 3 days i spent there. The area is so massive and amazing usually I get "templed out" after one full day but there is quite a bit of variety so it is very interesting. Highly recommended. Cambodians are such lovely people as well. Happy Travels
Thanks Stephen 🤩 I was also surprised how much I enjoyed just walking around and tagging along with my guide. It’s a day I’d never forget. Thanks for watching 🏆 cheers
I believe and have a strong instinct it was built in one day.
I’ve been there many times but she’s always amazed me every time. Never gets tired of visiting her and it feels so mythical and magical. So amazing, people all around the world needs to visit her. Highly recommended. By The Way, I like to have the tour guide name and number please cuz I like his translation and his knowledge of the Khmer history. Next year I go, I like to have him as my tour guide. Thanks
Hi Kelly 😁 thanks a lot and I’m glad to hear you’d like to book the same guide 😃 his truly very good and has great knowledge about the history and all there’s to know about the temples :) his details are in the description. Please let me know if you’ve found it 🙏 thanks for watching 🏆
Agree, it's a magical place.
@@Chai_Traveloh wow Sareth? im not from the western or anything, born and has been living in khmer since forever, the one time i went to Angkor Thom, i met him and he just gave me a free guide and explanation of the art etc. Maybe i do look western uahaha but great guy, his english was great he was surprised i speak khmer at the end of the guide
Magical.......it was built in a day.
By the way:
Three hundred thousand men and 6000 elephants were involved in the construction of Angkor Wat (according to the inscriptions). There are 7 volumes of inscriptions documented/translated by the French archeologists. All inscriptions are in Khmer and Sanskrit.
Angkor Wat was built on the behest of King Suryavarman II.
There is subterranean water running under Angkor wat. So that along with the big moat surrounding it, you can say that Angkor wat is floating like a ship.
King suryawarman before was stay some year in java indonesia. Thats way architecture of the tample between cambodia and indonesia little bit similiar. Love from Indonesia bro❤
Im khmer born in U.S love how you actually support the local tourist guides and interact with them. I can say this is one of the few videos I've seen that actually gave a tour guy a chance and I think its only somewhere around 10 dollars so they're not making a killing.I salute you. Not all poor people in Cambodia are bad or out to scam you. They're just trying to make a honest living and real down to earth people. Subcribed and thanks for being interested in our culture and your kindness. God bless
Thank you so much B B 🙏 I really find myself smiling when reading your message 😊 I definitely see that most of the Cambodians are super kind, loving, and honest. I hope to be able to entertain you much longer. Have a beautiful night and day. Thanks again 🏆 cheers
Yes agree, generally alway meet locals that are generous with thier knowledge and will to share.
This is outstanding Chai, National Geographic quality, your camera work brilliant and I loved the eerie backing music you used. Your tour guide was exceptional and added massive value speaking very good English and had obvious historical knowledge regarding the subject matter which complemented your fine work big time. I think I'll watch this in its entirety a second time tomorrow I enjoyed it that much. Well done and stay CHAMP, champ. 🤩
Steven! Aw man thanks so much for your application 🙏 this was a video with the most editing time I’ve ever done and I’m glad you like so much. Thanks again Sir Steven S 😁 stay champ🏆
Carvings on Angkor Wat’s bas-relief showed the ethnic Thai and other mercenaries working for the Khmer King. And you can also see the Ancient Khmer Martial Art like Bokator and Kun Khmer etc. in action too.

When I was there, I walked around with a book that explain about different temples. It was very insightful.
Good to hear you went as well 😊 thanks for watching
Bayon was actually a Hindu temple also , but people misunderstand that our Khmer king has changed religion from Hindu to Buddhism….
Good guide ❤

so informative and such a beautiful temple, one more place which needs to be put into my "must go list"
Thanks for watching Fred 😁 have a good day
Amazing and most beautiful😮❤
Thank you so much 😀❤️
Amazing video ❤❤
Thank you 😊
This video brings back lots of wonderful memories. We were there in December 2022 and fell in love with Siem Reap. Ta Prom is an amazing temple to see.
We went to a temple called Beng Mealea (aka The Titanic or the sinking temple) it's a 66km drive from Angkor Wat and it is also a must see. As it is a bit of a drive from Angkor Wat, you don't have to share it with many people at all. Pete, our tour guide Tola and myself had the whole complex to ourselves while we were there. They are not going to restore this temple, they are going to let nature do its thing.
Cambodian people are so amazing as well.❤🙏
No way Connie! I wish I knew ;) I'm gone already but I do have the feeling I wanna go back here someday. I've just done the touristic areas. The sinkin temple sounds worth visiting. Indeed :) we love the people over here! Thank you 🏆 Cheers 🤗
Thank you for your video🙏❤

After seeing this video I decided to contact Sareth for a guided tuk tuk tour in Angkor Wat. We are from Spain and for our surprise, Sareth spoke Spanish pretty well. He was an amazing guide, punctual, funny and kind. He knows his way around very well. He answered all our questions and showed us very cool spots that were less busy. I can't recommend him enough!
Thanks for sharing this very insightful video!!

Cambodia is actually the oldest country/land in Southeast Asia and Angkor Wat built in the 11th century during the reign of king Suriyavarman II.

Wow Combodia Angkor wat that’s very wonderful I used to read the history about Khmer people 👍❤️
Thank you Alicia 😃 it’s such an interesting place
Wow, what a nice tour, you have covered most of the important temples in that area so far. Let me give some unexpected discoveries about the Angkor Wat template.
This temple is covering an area of more than 1.6 square kilometers (400 acres), it is made of something like 10 million individual stone blocks more than four times as many blocks as the Great Pyramid of Giza and weighing up to 1.5 tons each, brought to the site from a quarry 40Km (25 miles) to the northeast. The massive moat around the temple was not just a barrier protecting the complex, but an architectural feature specifically designed to reduce the pressure pushing outwards from the enormous accumulation of stone. Without this moat, Angkor Wat would have collapsed many years ago.
Angkor Wat holds many more mysteries than we think. Archaeologists have pointed out that the carving and its placement within the complex were not an accident. Some carving and layout was situated to act as a sort of giant equinox calendar, star constellation alignment, the design layout of the 9 planets, an advanced water system, the trace of solar energy devices and a power grid, a hidden underground chamber, and carvings of animals long extinct like dinosaur, elephants with four-tusk, and more xD
These are the types of questions that lead many to believe that the mystery of Angkor Wat might go much further than mainstream science is currently willing to accept, much further even, than anyone imagined.
