You can clean toddlers with a vacuum. Children can use the handheld one to clean her with.
I didn’t know that. I was waiting for her to try to use the sink to “clean up” the toddler.
@@1SpicyPisces well considering using the tub didn’t work I wouldn’t think using the sink would work either but you never know, it could’ve. I just suggested the vacuum because I know children can use them.

Toddler sims won't get taken away if they have a bad hygiene need. Only if they get really hungry will they get taken away!!! I know this because I have fully neglected toddler sim's needs except for hunger and they were never taken away.
Also if they get caught in a fire they get “wisked away to safety” which is so fucked cause if a fire happens they just take your child from you and don’t give them back
Toddlers can get the potty skill by watching other sims use the tolet. So maybe if you had the child used the bathroom a lot and the toddler watch until they're at potty 2. It will take a bit but it might work.
The issue is the child would have that thing where it’s the speech bubble with the toddler crossed out, forcing the toddler to leave the room before the child can use it. I don’t know if that applies to toddlers but it could happen.
It wouldn't. It would have to be one toddler watching another.
I’m glad they could see mom was happy to the very end. I’m sure they won’t now be traumatized and terrified to laugh. Perfectly happy children. Love that for them!
If you worry about the monster under the bed: there is a special lamp which you can place above the childs bed. This will lead to no monsters spawning under the beds and i think this is such a cool and practical thing. Its called „Coolala, the defender wall light“, its green with pokemons on it. Hope that helps

You should try this again with the Preschool mod. Sending toddlers to preschool gives them full needs by the time they get home.

How to do this without mods
•put the adult in a box with a bed fridge and a toilet
*don’t put a stove and counters they can take quick meals out of the fridge
Put a shower if you want doesn’t matter
Don’t forget to remove the door

thanks for reminding me about the kids can live alone mod. I have a storyline where some frameworks are set and one of them is about divorced parent. Mom gets the kid but step-dad (who raised her from an infant) gets remarried. For awhile after mom dies, I want the kid to be trying to hide it and live alone for a bit before step-dad realized and comes to get her. But I was worried I couldn't do it.
I wanna see a take on this where the child still has to provide for themself, like the other challenges! being in a house is fine, but the parents shouldn't leave the kids with more than a hundred simoleons. it would definitely be hard, maybe another child sim could be added to the mix to make it easier (?) a working mod would also just make this easier in general

Or maybe do the horse shoe shape pool then lower ground in the middle just ad fill with water and toddler can play in it

I actually did a challenge just like this but without mods and faired well. I gave the toddler the independent trait for toilet training and thankfully they weren't messy so their hygiene didn't go down too badly. I was surprised at how well my Sim child raised her toddler sister but as time went on the toddler seemed to resent being bossed around in this way by a sibling and not a parent. Lol
I think it would be more realistic if toddlers could at least use the sink with help of a stool.

Could the mom ghost give her a bath? Or maybe the nanny put her into the paddling pool? I can't remember if children can use the clean up interaction on toddlers at sinks
I thought the same thing regarding the ghost of the mom. I was yelling at the screen (half-jokingly). 'Karla, ask the ghost to bathe the toddler!' But alas, we never got to find out if it worked or not.
literally in the middle of a storyline with a teen raising her infant sister , Lei and Lila, while their dad tries and fails to get his shit together after divorcing his cheating wife in the middle of an early midlife crisis. to be fair she really was for the streets, lied and told him Lila wasn’t his because she was mad she got caught 😭 at least Lei is more responsible than either of her parents

Full answer before even watching the video, from a "caregiving" point of view: no, because only adults/teens can teach non independent toddlers how to crap. Other than that, all you really have to do is keep them from starving to death, and they can max all skills. Technically an independent toddler can fully raise itself including paying bills via the repo man! It can earn money by finding seashells, which can then be used to buy fruit seeds, which it can eat. I once had a plantation of 8 toddlers mining for seashells, which brought home thousands of simoleons daily. If you're using a sand lot in Oasis springs, you can build 2x2 gated fences around each toddler, so when they become exhausted they have no space to lie down, for maximum profitability. Either way, if an abandoned toddler falls in the desert, does it truly make a sound?
Video idea!!!! What happens to a ghost when you destroy their gravestone right in front of them?? So kill someone, keep their gravestone, then when they inevitably invite you somewhere like flea market, show up, place and destroy gravestone and see what (if anything) happens to the ghost!!!
Kids doing laundry is great for scouting. It's an easy way to earn the, if I recall the right one, Civic Responsibility badge. You get one point toward it each for starting up the washer and the dryer, so one full load of laundry earns 2 points.
Tolders can learn the potty skill by watchin other sims using the toilet

There is a way to get the toddlers hygiene up if you have the bust the dust kit, you can vacuum the toddler with the hand held vacuum it doesn't fix it fast though but it would work. (edit idk if a child can vacuum the toddler)
try on the sink maybe, you can normally clean them on the sink.

I got a mod that allows my child to raise toddlers to though it seems not to work to well these days. One thing I always found is inviting sims over and then having the toddler ask for a bath. And if you live in Sulani (sp?) those free meals help a lot for feeding kids and keeping the child from having a bad moodlet from quick meals. Edit: NOw I am curious starting with a child and a toddler if I can do a two (instead of one) tile challenge, mix in a build challenge, and try to make it to a mil before young adult stage. Yup I decided I hate myself.
I would have taken her to someone else’s house and see if she can ask an adult there for a bath. Maybe Nancy Landgraab. She seems like she’d be good with toddlers.
This may come under cheating, but so could a nanny and daycare :) The ghost of the mum might be able to bath the brat.

Maybe next time have some water line a mini fishing lake but not that deep on the property. I think toddlers can go in there

With experience from the 100 baby challenge toddlers could do everything themselves except wash as long as they have the potty at level 2

I had a similar issue with my child trying to put her infant sister in the crib. It kept saying that she couldn't reach the crib, even if I put the crib in the middle of the garden. I think it's a bug from the mod
You can wash as a kid and dry as a kid but they both need to be on the ground so that they can reach it.
I was gonna say the garden sprinkler but I'm not sure since the water park didn't work
This made me remember one time in Sims four I had a child and then I took him away from my family and child services got him and he got adopted and then after they were kids when they were twins he came to my house to do some homework with his sister but then I noticed it was the name I gave him and I was so shocked and I wanted to get him back

I had a rags to riches with a toddler, I got tired of taking them to the rec center every day to bathe so him and mom stayed stinking for a week +. Socal services has never taken my kid for hygiene
