I'm glad you went in with an open mind. Working with the elderly I'd actually really rewarding if you give it a chance. I don't work in a long term care facility, I work in a hospital and have for the past two years. I assess patients pretty much the same way you do, and I also help the nurses out eith certain things loke you stated in the video. I can tell you are going to be a great dietician. Continue to excel and best of luck to you. ❤
Great video! I'm soon going to be in my clinical supervised practice so this gives me a great idea on the responsibilities clinical dietitians have. 🤗
Thank you for this video! This great insight, you present the details in an easy-to-follow way :)
Thank you for making this video!
I will go into my LTC rotation starting next week and your stories give me a lot of insights to prepare myself.
Good luck on your journey, Paula!
Thank you so much for sharing. I loved hearing from you and your experiences! Excited for more of your content.
I agree the hardest part about leaving the nursing home is you miss the residents. I am a cna so I interact with them daily and you get attached.
Your sheet is genius!
Love your dietetics videos! I am considering this, and I would love to know if it’s possible to have a full time job while pursuing this degree? Thanks
I worked in geriatric rehab and it was fun (non nursing home- CDCES and CSG here
I do love the population! I just think the Industry needs some reassessing and some issues are in dire need of improvement, but that can be said for most industries.
what university did you go to?
