Thank you for providing this straightforward information! I'm a small electrical contractor just starting out can't afford to hire a marketing firm so using your videos to get my feet wet in this Google ad world.

Great video my man, I just wanted to add that I think it is REALLY important to put into context just how niche a clients business is when deciding whether or not to do manual or max etc. For instance, I have a client where keyword CPC's are super high automatically because of the industry, there are a ton of crossover meanings, the competition is high. In my tons of experimentation and talking to others online, it seems like Google is still having trouble with certain niche industries, and in those instances using Manual CPC actually makes sense. Though I think we can all agree more times than not these days you probably don't need it. However I would also say that if you work in house somewhere and your job is to spend all of your working time on them, then again there are instances where incorporating a manual CPC campaign actually makes sense in maximizing your account.

Hey, yes I can agree with that. In very niche low volume industries, manual CPC can work and gives much needed control. In 99% or more of cases, smart bidding is a better choice, but yea, I can definitely agree with that.

Always learn so much from your videos ... superbly presented and communicated. Well done!

Now I understand. It is easier for Google Ads to learn the campaign once you start the bidding strategy with max clicks or target impression share.

Thanks for your video. I increased my budget significantly and now google messed everything up. CPC + CPA is 3x, CTR is cut in half. Super annoying

Thanks, just completed your almost 6-hour course, Pure value 😊
How many days do we have to wait to make any changes when we first launch the campaign? How many days does it take to give results?
In FB ads we don't change anything in the first 3-7 days.

    • @darrentaylordigital
      @darrentaylordigital  Před 6 měsíci +2

I'm so glad you enjoyed the course. First couple of weeks I'd avoid any major edits. Negative keywords and ad copy changes if needed. But ideally budget and bid strategy should be left to optimise

@@darrentaylordigital Thanks, just have one more question! I'm about to practice Google ads… I have a website. I need to create a Google Ads account & a Google Ads Manager account (I run an agency). So I'm confused about how to connect them… a Google ads account with an ads manager account.
Or I will create a Google Manager account first and then create a Google Ads account from the Manager account, does this work?
I have watched some videos they're creating an ads account first and then a manager account separately, so I don't know how to connect a manager account with my own ads account created from the same e-mail.
The goal is simple to onboard my client he should create a Google Manager account first right, if he is new to Google ads, and he gives me access from his Manager account, so that I can get access and create Google Ad accounts from his Manager account and run ads.
In Facebook ads, we create a business manager account first & they give us access To their biz manager Then from the business manager, we can create an ad account & run ads.
Is this the same in Google ads? Or do we need to create ads account and a manager account separately & get access to both?
      Sorry for the long text!

Great video Darren. Question: Does the campaign go into the learning phase when there is a change in the targeting location (either adding, or removing locations)?

    • @darrentaylordigital

Not usually that I've seen, but if the change is significant enough, it might happen

For different geo-locations, is the "Maximise Conversions" bid strategy based off account conversion data, or is it by individual campaign? For example would a new campaign targeting a completely different country (in the same account with decent historical conversion data) need to start off with "Maximise Clicks" to generate that critical mass before switching, or will that use existing conversion data meaning you can start off with "Maximise Conversions"? Can't seem to find an answer for this! Awesome videos by the way.

    • @darrentaylordigital
      @darrentaylordigital  Před 6 měsíci +1

It's hard to say, but if your account is targeting the exact same conversion point across geographic areas, it should start on a conversion focussed strategy more effectively than if no conversion data existed I would have thought

What do you recommend? Adding the ad cost on Weekly basis or Monthly basis?
Let’s assume we add all the monthly ad cost & if the clients doesn’t want to continue in middle, the ad cost will be wasted right? So Adding on Weekly basis is safer I guess! Is this possible? What do you recommend?

Thanks for the video! :-) I created a new campaign with max conversions. It has hit 9 conversions on the first day, yesterday 0 and today 1. Is this extreme fluctuation normal during the learning phase?

  • @advancedupholsteryservices7276

when you're using manual CPC is it that the product that you have to wait for 30 conversions or are the whole campaign to change it to performance Max and would you select the product with the 30 conversions.

I run an agency, I need to get access to my clients Google Manager Account & create Google ads account and run ads for them.
    So my question is
Is it possible to create a Google Ad account directly from our client's Google Ads manager account to run ads?
I have watched some videos they're creating ads account first and then Google manager account, some are not even creating ads manager account!
How to connect our google ads account with our ads manager account?
To get access to the Google Ads Manager, create ad accounts, and run ads, they need both accounts right? And if we just get admin access to their Google Manager account, we can create a Google Ads account and run ads directly from their Ads Manager account right?
Or How does this work? On Facebook, they give us their business manager account access and we create ad accounts from their business manager and run ads.
Is this the same in Google ads? Or do we need to create an ads manager and ad account separately? And connect the ads account to the ads manager?
First I will create a Google Business Manager account for myself. The clients are new to Google ads, so in onboarding, I will tell them to create Google Ads Manager first and I'll get access to their Ads Manager then I will create an account from their ads manager directly to run ads, does this work?

    • @darrentaylordigital

Ask for their account number then request access via your manager account!

    • @NikNik-px2jz

@@darrentaylordigital that means they don't need a Google Manager account right? Just Google ad account is enough for them! And I need a Manager account to get access to their Google ad account.

Do you have to add audience segment to google shopping ads

    • @darrentaylordigital

If using target ROAS, then Google ignores all audience bid adjustments. But if on manual it's a good idea
