Ladies and gentlemen, this is a master class featuring Ricardo Montauban and Roddy McDowall. This episode of fantasy Island should be reviewed and acting classes.
Roddy McDowall played a superb devil, believable with class and style. I love the shows where he was the devil.
I wholeheartedly agree. He played great evil characters. I believe his devil on "Fantasy Island" was his best evil role, his crowning achievement, if you will.

What we didn’t see was that two days later, Julie, in a hostile takeover of Fantasy Island, relinquished her claim to Mr. Roarke’s soul, hence the devil’s claim took first priority.
Roarke was claimed by the devil, Julie took over Fantasy Island, and Tattoo was imprisoned for a crime he didn’t commit.
It was a very dark series finale.

In the late 90s there was a continuation to the series starring Malcolm Mcdowell. He played a darker versión of Roarke but was still a good person. It was implied That after the events of the original series he suffered a terrible loss That affected him proffoundly

He agreed for a full soul. Roddy did not know he was only entitled to half a soul only until after midnight which he had tot claim and did not.
Their first encounter was better, but this was fun too.
