    Preforming a Leak down test on my 1985 JS550 Kawasaki Jetski Engine. Using vacuum pressure to test for any leaks before installing the engine into the Hull. Better to be safe than sorry.

    That's a brake bleeder pump, it creates a vacuum. The gauge on the pump doesn't read psi, you're pulling a vacuum on the engine and reading 10 inhg (inches of Mercury) vacuum. 10 inhg is about 4.9 psi. If you pressurized it you would be able to use a soap/water solution in a spray bottle to look for leaks (bubbles).
