Great story about your friend Spiro, his memory and his spirit will always be with you!
Cars used to have character. Used to be simple. Now, cars looks the same and overenginnered ... Watching your videos reminds me of a beautiful era, with real cars.. Hello from Greece
Christos. Totally agree with you.
Yes its always important to make sure the posi track is working before it leaves the shop!!
Always the best. And a burnout. I'm 62, and this never gets old.
Thanks, to Nick and his awesome crew.
Right on!
I like these problems solving episodes. Especially on mod cars. Great job
Great work! Doesn't get much more "street machine" than a 4-speed big-block Nova with slapper bars and Cragars.
George, I just wanted to tell you how good your video looked streamed from my iPhone 8 to my Samsung 52” flat screen tv- AMAZING! Vasilis, Nick and the blue Nova couldn’t have looked more crisp and clear. Great job, I am very proud of the work you do bringing the shop to my home in Georgia! You guys are my Monday morning addiction when I get out of work on 3rd shift, I come home and watch your new video after my first night of the work week. As I’ve said I am originally from Maine, my dad was a truck pulling champion there, he had a 454 BB in a 1946 Ford. We have memories for those we’ve lost and some are great memories, just like Spiro, this car video brought back good memories for me too. Tell Nick and Vasilis they are two of my favorite guys I’ve ever seen on CZcams, they just seem to be who they are on video and there’s no acting or being crazy, just mechanics who love muscle cars.
I love growing up in the 70s at the drag races, when people were tru, cars like this was plentiful, always fun
I was hoping we would hear that sweet idle. “We know the posi-traction is working.” 😂
Nice driving Vasilis!
Nick's favorite engine build!
Typical understatement “now we know the clutch works “ rofl
You can’t get that same enjoyment from an ev. The sound and rumble. Long live the ICE!!
I love watching you get really happy when it comes time to fire up the motors you build. And good morning to all.
The small block and big block pumps are identical except for the pump arm that is about a 1/4 in. Longer. Learned that the hard way too😁🇺🇸
it's interesting though to the blind eye almost looks the same doesn't it? just that little tiny offset can put a monkey wrench into the whole package
It's also a gen 2 454.
Another old girl comes back to life well done Nick & crew
Reminds me when my dad worked on his Volare back in the 70s, and how pissed off it sounded, he could have smoked anyone in Saturday nights.
That engine sounds like a beast ! way to go !
Got to admit my heart skipped a beat when Vasily drifted sideways in the garage.
Nice video guys!
454 ci and still tons of room in the engine bay. That’s old school.
Unless its a mustang.
@@davidleavitt3804 a 351W barely fits in a Mustang unless big block shock towers are used. That's the difference between GM & Chrysler.... And Ford. Ford engineers weren't smart enough to design the Mustang to accept ANY engine they had available while GM and Chrysler DID design even their smaller muscle cars ('Cuda, Challenger, Duster, Camaro, Nova, etc.) to accept ANY engine they had. The Boss 429 Mustangs had to be sent out to a specialty shop to be modified to make the 429 fit... Even then, everything is REALLY tight and a real pain in the ass to get to. I've always said that Mustang fans love Mustangs because they don't know any better. I worked at a Mustang and Camaro shop back in the 1990's building both. The Mustang has a build quality that rivals the Yugo. Weak unibody frame, CARDBOARD heater plenum, only partial front fender wells... I could go on. They look great and are fun to drive, but they're junk. Give me a MOPAR or GM any day.
@@craigcampbell8560 I agree. That's what I meant. The funny thing is Ford still builds them with those shock towers too.Yes the Chevy II was the same way from 62-67 but at least GM surprisingly redesigned them and used the Camaro sub frame or a BBC wouldn't even be possible.
@@davidleavitt3804 Exactly! Prior to '68 there's NO getting a big block into a Chevy II Nova without scrapping all of the frame and suspension and tube framing the car. From '68 on a big block will drop right in. Sure, it's a little tight, but still has more room to work on it than a Mustang with a small block in it!
@@craigcampbell8560 I know you ain't talking about the 79 and up Mustangs. I have a 1980 with a 351w and I've also helped my buddies put 460's in the 79-93. Then you've got the mod motors starting in 96 and they are as wide as a big block, especially the 5.0 Coyote starting in 2011!!!
Gotta love the Blue 70-72 Nova's! You ain't' a real muscle car head if you don't. Just a badass GM design.
Good morning Nicks Garage .
Thank you for diverting me from the "News" .
Morning! Glad to be of service.
@midnitesquirldog1 I just said thank you to Nicks Garage for diverting my attention from the news when you in your "infinite wisdom" hit me with that "news" . Wich by the way is complete hogwash . Propaganda . Wake up trumpist ! Wake up open your eyes Copper Top .
Melissa MELISSA ,
Dear Lord in heaven what have I done ? ... MELISSA ...
@midnitesquirldog1 wash your hands wear a mask stay home or just away from innocent people . Please do not procreate please .
WAKE UP COPPER TOP !!
Leave me alone I'm getting into some Old School Muscle . I'm loving some screaming tires major cubic inches and expert experience with muscle car magic courtesy of these great Americans at Nicks Garage .
Login It ! beautiful 72 NOVA yes !
My first car was a 1970 Nova. Miss that car. Beautiful. Love the old school Cragar SS rims.
Those are the newer Cragars... original Cragars the spokes were fat toward the middle and small at outer ends... looked strange... Maybe they had to wait for American Racing's design patent to expire... or decided to pay royalties to get much higher sales...
@@BuzzLOLOL i remember that when i ordered a set of 15 x 4 s/s for the front of my 57 210 2dr they looked different from the original 15 x 8s out back
@@Hot80s - My buddy had the backwards looking ones, but I didn't say anything...
My Favorite Monday afternoon ritual. Nick's Garage and Coffee. Helloooooo everyone
Thanks for joining us, Brendan.
i love in house launches
That car would look good with a set of GM Rally Wheels!
yep. 15's monte 7" front and vette 8" in back
Halfmoons is not for me his car
I was thinking it would look great sitting in my garage!
Rallies are the only way to go.
Thanks for the morning therapy, Nick! It's amazing how readily available the 454s, 460s and 440s are in the old RVs and trucks hiding out in a fields and old wrecking yards!
Great morning video . Just awesome to see the finished touches you do and the care you take on the cars. Have a great day Nick and everyone.
The Big Block saw his shadow so we should have an early Spring ☺️. Great work Nick and Vasily, George! It was nice to hear the sound of a big block again and tires smoking.
Only at Nick's Garage! Thanks for a great start to the day Nick & Vasili as music to my ears sounding and looking good. Thanks guys and hey George that music at the beginning was fitting for this video too. Stay healthy & happy at this time.
My Buddy bought a 1969 Nova SS 4 Spd car in 1970 had the power bulge hood not like the one in the video car was grey met. with black vinyl roof 350 4 bolt main 4 barrel ..........this car screamed had a posi rear end just smoked the tires .............I really liked these cars and they were Bad Ass ...........much like the Z28s..........I say this being a Dodge and Ford man .........the Nova above ended up after being sold to a new owner fished tailed into a power pole ...........that Nova in your video looks very how they were built when we got a hold of them in the 1970s
Also my favorite Monday morning thing to watch.
Right on! Thanks.
@@NicksGarage your welcome
Good morning Nick: can't wait for the border to reopen so I can come to visit you guys 😊
Right on. Let's get this thing done so we can all get back to some of the things we are missing.
@@NicksGarage 💯💯💯
The Nova brings back memories Someone I knew had one Same rims and similar blue
All these cars are 'time machines'.
Baby moons and stock rims. A winner every time.
This '72 Nova brings back memories for me.......most of them bad. I got a wild hare and traded my '70 Roadrunner for a new Nova. What a mistake! It was a small block and despite me following a rigid maintenance schedule, it was pumping oil at 30K. I couldn't believe it! The paint fell off in pieces the size of potato chips and when given a bit too much throttle, the short wheelbase car could turn around on a fella in split second. I had a race Nova with an LT-1 that was beautiful for power, traction, etc. My '72 must of been made on a Friday...........
nick love the videos and content!! all the dyno pulls and assembly of cars its freaken awesome! watching from missouri!! stay safe!😉🖖
Nick's Garage indoor burnout to start off the work week, love it!
Monday morning shop burn outs, coffee and donuts is a excellent way to start the day. Love it Nick. Great video George and all the best to the boys. Thank you for sharing.
Awesome burnout! Thanks Nick and Vasilis!
Now that's my favorite chevy right there! You guys are awesome!!
People go to church on sundays. We go to nick on Monday's. Thank you guy's
March has arrived!! Time to get my BBC 454 Corvette with the 4spd out. I wonder if it will start? It has been parked for over 2 years now.. :( . I bet it will need a new battery and fresh gas in it. I love that old bucket of bolts!! It is scary fast!! 10:1. TRW Forged. Stainless valves with 3 angle grind. Heads port matching and flowed. End caps pinned. All original.. Except for those mods.. I have over 500ft lbs at the tires. It is a hoot!! Since my Dad passed away and helping my mother, I have not had a chance to take this old car out. I am looking forward to taking it out this year real soon!! Thanks Nick for the motivation!!
Enjoy that first drive, with the windows down.
Yes I remember BADNEWS with Spiro and Johnny Zonta and the races !! I had a ride in that BADNEWS... First car where my head stuck to the head rest the whole ride AMAZING NOVA !!! RIP SPIRO 😞 God bless his soul 🙏
mjlove2001. Good old days with Spiro.
Nice job Nick it is gonna be a runner sounds great stay safe and have fun !!
It has been a long time since I saw a Hurst Shifter. Thank you for the memory.
Fantastic machine Nick! Wish that Nova was mine. Great work you guys!
Great job Nick! I love to see muscle cars put back the old school way, I don't have nothing against fuel injection but I like muscle cars the way they came only with period correct upgrades, nice Nova! Thanks for sharing!
The truck blocks are actually stronger. Better grade of cast iron and 4 bolt mains. Doesn't matter if it's a big block or small block. I made a super duty 327 out of a 350 truck block and 1968 L79 rotating assembly. Long duration cam and big valve heads made it a real monster.
Nothing like burn rubber in the morning with my coffee. Thanks Nick... spring is around the corner.
Great my Monday morning coffee and Nicks Garage.
Morning! Thanks for being here.
Awesome nova, my neighbor used to have the same car a nova that was all tricked out , trw engine dual Holly 750 carbs , it really moved , same color too.
I've been called Big block Bob for years, because of all the cars I've changed over to BBC's and BBF's.I've been doing Mopars for the past 6yrs, and figured out it's a whole different ballgame, but you are never to old to learn. Lol I'm on a 73 Challenger at present that I believe was put together by a bunch of 3rd graders. Old muscle all the way!
But I'm sure you'd love it, orange and black and photographs well. The owner bought it on a whim, and got shafted, but we'll get it right.
Beautiful job guys! Wish I had that engine in my ‘74 Nova SS!
One Bad Ass Nova , and another great show Nick...You Guys are still my favorite :-)
I'd have to have a deeper fan shroud
This is great lesson for Troubleshooting using a Vacuum Gauge.
When Nick said is it Sucking...... Bacille (sp) thought "oh it sucks alright"
Great Job !!!!
Nice work sorting out the Nova. Sometimes less is more... Hello from Halifax. Stay safe .
What an AWESOME GARAGE!!! Way to go NICK!!!! (and your employees!!)
72 Chevy Nova 454! reborn, awesome job guys! truly satisfying. Thanks
I actually have a 70 NOVA in my shop now with a modern 454. It now has edelbrock carb, solid Cam 3.73 and TH 400. Goes low 13s. It uses an electric fuel pump and adjustable regulator no mechanical pump at all. It used to run a small shot of nitrous to go mid 12s.
Nice job Vasil and crew. Really good to see you all again. Take care!
Keep drinking that kool-aid. They don't need you telling them that they do good work. And you have no clue anyhow.
Merci Nick!!! Great show!
That is very nice for sure. Sweet car and 454 ready for the road.
thanks you guys ... indoor burnouts RULE!!!!
Ca me rappel de bon souvenir de Nova! j'en ais eu plusieurs de '62 a '80 j'ais meme fait partie dans le temp du club Nova Nostalgic aux État! nice job gang keep on the good work! ;o)
Makes me laugh seeing burnouts in the garage! Thanks for the laughs! Time for some coffee in my new Nicks Garage mug! Enjoyed the show guys!!
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for your support!
Happy Monday all. Thanks for a killer Big block kick start for the week !
Where there's a will, there's a way....to do a burnout. Gotta love it.
great show thanks guys keep safe
Weeks go fast! Another Great Monday at Nick's Garage. Making cars go fast for a blast in the past! Bill from Linglestown Pennsylvania.
Right on!
I had a 1968 nova like this back in 1978 nick. 250 6 cylinder and powerglide. I would have loved to had a big block nova like the one your showing off back then. great video Nick, as always!
Very cool!
Wow that brings back memories. A true to the last detail street brawler time machine to take you back to the '70's. I raced my '72 Demon 340 with a Mr. Norm's six-pak top end conversion vertical gate shifter and slapper bars on the street a bit and squared off in a no-money race with a guy who showed up one night trailering a Chevy Nova he claimed was "just a 396/375HP". We had been forewarned it was a Nickey Chevrolet 427 transplant. We were all laughing about the trailer and his swapping slicks onto the car as a little overkill for an L78. He knew we had his number. I hung with him to the top of 2nd gear and then he just drove away from me. That car was a beast.
Looks like Nick is all wired up!
lovely!!! now let's see a early 70s Dart with a 440 with over 500 🐎 🐎 horses in it tearing up the street!!! thanks again guys!!!
U guys r the best, love ur show.. Here u go!!!
That Nova is a good candidate for m & h racemasters and a matching set of wider rear cragar s/s mags. Glad to see the m/t covers found a new home!
Beautiful Job Guy's ,As always! And Nice Nova Felix; That 72 with the 454 is BADASS!!! B Safe Guy's! 👍
Love the guitar picking in the background music.
Nice car great video thankyou.Nick
Bad ass nova love your work
That Nova is a certified ripper. Nice build !
Nice seeing a muscle car in the shop. Love the Baby Moon's. cheers🇨🇦
Dr. Nick & Company, that Badnews Nova is now good news, nice work, good burn out Vasili,Cheers.
Make sure you have a big block pump there is a difference between a small block and a big block. Also probably going to need a 3 core radiator to keep it cool on hot days
Beautiful sound guys
Nice job guys 👍👍 !! Boy I wish I kept my old Nova ......
Love it great job nick
✨George is becoming a great cameraman / producer! Love your work George. Great episode too, Nick! 👍🏼 🇨🇦🇬🇷 🏁🚘🏁
Mornin Mr Nick!! Have a Great week!!
That's awesome....😃🇨🇦 I have A454 in my 78 Camaro Pushing over 600 hp I love it!!

Lovely 72' Nova!
Beautiful blue, damn a real BadAss car holy cow....Great work Nick and can't spell his name but excellent work your guys do more than rock....
Nick, have you just invented the original "Canadian 🇨🇦Burnout"?? There you have it! 😎
Somebody stole my 73 Nova over 20 years ago. Recently some stoogy from new Mexico called me wanting the title. I was shock and hell no your not getting it. Found out my brother sold him my car. Now I'm working on getting it back.
Nice work, nice episode!
Need to start wrenching on my 74 stingray with a 550 hp 396 stroker for the summer, new Borgesson steering and viking double adjustable shocks will make it really fun to drive, but I have 50 inches of snow still here in the northern Sweden still..
Greetings anyways, love the episodes😎
