Hello! You need to close the air supply to the engine, when the engine starts turning well, then give gas. Where the steering lift is adjusted, there is a lever next to it for blocking air to the engine.
I got the newer version of this its the 5390 its got 7800 hours all original except oil pan gasket does not use any oil its been a great tractor on the farm i would change the block heater mine was hard to start it was not heating up enough
So close on that first try. Good thing you plowed all that heavy wet snow before it turned to one big block of ice. I'd really like to see you start it today now that we have below zero (Fahrenheit) here.
Just an observation about human nature, ... the tractor is sitting out in the weather, which must mean the shed behind it is full of more important and valuable equipment, ... right ???
It's too bad they didn't get a dealership chain and parts supply. I knew a guy that bid making maintenance manuals for these tractors. But they didn't understand the amount of time needed, nor the cost to do this (I think $3million). He worked in the publication part of the avionics company I worked at, doing tech manuals. So looks like we get more snow this Wednesday, then the bottom drops out, we are looking at -12F Thursday and Friday morning down here. You'll be plugging in your tank/block heater next time.
You basically have to pull up on the lever and lock it in place. But this doesn't work very well and I added a sprint going down to the "transfer case?" To pull up on the one side of that arm which the lever pulls on.
Not many Stradivarius' violins either! I use a single 12 v battery mounted on frame rails with very short heavy cables to starter (Hy-torque replacement) l think their stock starter might be 24v. Rarely use glow plug, just decompressor
@@ThoenWorks l know, l was just kidding. l bought mine 30yrs ago brand new, don't think I'll ever sell it, though. Kinda grows on you, my wife's in the background yelling " Yea like fungus" haha take care 👍
I would imagine you could easily run 10-12 ft wide through some pretty heavy stuff. I only have a 5ft brush hog and run it on my old Massey 33 because the narrow front is way more agile around trees and such.
Good luck. Check for clutch slippage. Thing will probably like to leak oil (fortunately not from the engine usually.) Check tightness of bolts around front axle etc. Your tranny wiill probably have two high/low ranges. So check those out also. One on the floor and one on the main shift lever. Make sure the one on the floor isn't stuck (like mine).
great machine we run them back in cuba I love the sound and how easy it is to work on keep good care and will last years

Actually I started at about 6:00 a.m. this morning. I just left the engine plugged in all night.
👍👍👍👍🤝

Of course. 🤣
😊
What about the fuel injection on the glow plug?

For sure. i started it this morning and that was after leaving the block heater plugged in all night.
Could you make a video of putting it into 4wd. I’m not sure if I am doing it wrong or the lever is out of adjustment

Wow. The roundy round thing made me think I was back in the 60's watching an episode of Twilight Zone.
Me.goofing off. I have a magnetic mount on my little camera and stuck.it on the axle shaft.
It started very well, but are they reliable, not many around here.

@tcmits3699 So true. This is the first time I have ever considered comparing my Belarus to a Stradivarius. 😁

How big a brush hog can that thing use ?

I might be buying one of these tractors today. With 1100hrs on it

Otherwise you like it? We are mostly using it for horse boarding facility
Yes, overall. I give it a lot of abuse, and it takes it..
@@ThoenWorks where do you find it leaking?
Anywhere there is oil.😁. Soviets had lots of oil, and not necessarily good seal technology.
