Thanks for making this available. I sometimes feel Donath was very underrated. I know she had a long career, made lots of records etc. But was she ever the big international star she ought to have been?

Thank you for this observation. I absolutely agree! Although Helen Donath has a beautiful voice and exceptional technique, she never really had the success she deserved. Perhaps she should have sung more of the French and Italian repertoire? Mah! However, she remains one of my favorite cantatas!
