    Hmmm...the FACT that they are using the new twin- turbo here is proof why TOYOTA RELIABILITY IS SECOND TO NONE! Maybe I will sell my 2017 Tundra and get the new TWIN TURBO TUNDRA after all! Good luck at DAKKAR! Cheers...

    The front fenders on this thing look like someone put a hi-lift jack just in front of the door and started "adjusting" the fender until it buckled enough to make room for the new tires.

      Mitsubishi needs funds. Nissan won't allow them. Mitsubishi might come back in electric/ hybrid. If they do I hope they team up with Peterhansel and Al Attyiah

    hope the TOYOTA Hilux RED Bull 4WD + 4.5 in. Lift 3.3 Biturbo V6 4-Dr Crew Cab AllTerrain® Pickup Truck (RHD) in rally specs still retains it's ultra reliable & exceptionally sturdy C-Section ladder frame chassis . . . if Red Bull has opted for a custom tubular space frame in the 2022 Dakar TOYOTA Hilux RED Bull 4WD + 4.5 in. Lift 3.3 Biturbo V6 4-Dr Crew Cab AllTerrain® Pickup Truck (RHD) instead of the original C-Section chassis frame then it's a whole new ball game altogether . . . sure do miss the Mitsubishi PAJERO 4WD + 4.5 in. Lift 2.8 t-Turbo V6 5-Dr SUV (RHD) . . .

      To be fair, the sound of the new V6TT is actually quite awesome. Not as fruity as the ole V8, but still sounds good to me.

      No, it's gasoline/petrol. 3.5 liter twin-turbo V6 (V35A-FTS) engine, borrowed from the all-new 300 Series Toyota Land Cruiser.

  • @nagasako7
    @nagasako7 Před 2 lety +1

    If Dakar wanted to be serious. Truck category should require Truck Frame to be Production frame. If that was the case, Hilux would always win. And viewers would care more vs tube frame rally.

      It wouldn't. The T1+ has 1/3-1/2 the power and 1/3-1/2 the suspension travel as well as 3in small diameter tires. T1+ might beat a TT on a very specific section of stage but in most cases they are not comparable.
