i attended this event in Bangalore. It was a nice experience. Surprisingly a major portion of the crowd was theists but everybody attended this with good enthusiasm and patience. Thanks to organizers and Ravichandran

C. Ravichandran is a rationalist is one of the High priests of The Rationalism cults in Kerala. A self proclaimed freethinker, even though the very concept for freethinking is very alien to him, and he aggressively opposes any true freethinking, i.e. thinking free from any prejudice, bias, conditioning or intellectual affiliations.
Even though he is considered a professional debator by his hoard of followers, in all his debates he makes almost all the fifteen logical fallacies possible, including strawman arguments to ad hominem. He basically starts his debates with an egoistic position of intelligence and scientific thinking entrapping his listeners into intellectual shame for not agreeing with his incoherent arguments. There is absolute lack of structure and cohesion in his arguments, but he covers that up with outright personal attacks, historical anecdotes, bad analogy and his personal style, which somehow his fans love.
Ravichandran styles himself as a freethinking man of science , and claims to hold multiple ph.ds or Masters in several academic disciplines such as English, Economics, Politics, History, Sociology, Philosophy, Commerce, Malayalam and Public administration. Basically most of the disciplines that come under social science, but not true scientific disciplines. Ravichandran uses social science and philosophy to debate and counter his opponents. .Sadly there are many people for fall for this gamut of deception. He strictly forces several ideological perspectives to undergo scientific verification or the scientific method even though his own areas of dusty expertise and his arguments cannot stand up to the same scrutiny.
As famous theoretical physicist Richard Feyman once said."Social science is an example of a science which is not a science... They follow the forms... but they don't get any laws."
Ravichandran’s idea of science itself is the pseudo science that Richard Feyman talks about in his famous 1981 interview. Ravichandran is the zealot of a fanatic idea of science. His religion is rigid and dogmatic scientism , basic fundamentalism and he is its evangelist.
