I fell for this type of shit and stopped being vegan three years ago, after being vegan for five years. I’m vegan again now but I fell off because of hormonal issues and I felt desperate. But it’s so funny, I thought my “skin and hair and brain” were benefitting. But six months in, I was like… I’m still depressed, I still have ADHD, my skin and hair look truly no different and I still need acne face wash lol. So that’s when I started to realize veganism was not the cause of my hormonal issues and eating meat and eggs would not be the cure either.

Thanks for sharing this. I have a lot of hormonal issues and depression and I always find it laughable when somebody thinks, that food, meat and eggs in particular, would/could be the solution. Like my mother and grandmother have the same shitty hormones, it's in my genes. I only can do so much. I'm a omnivore since I was a child. According to all the anti-vegans, I should have been healed by now. Actually adding more veggies with every meal, makes me feel way better. Or staying away from dairy. As a disabled person who deals with chronic pain and a metric ton of medical issues, constantly switching diet because you don't feel like a 21 year old athlete is wild to me. Like you don't wake up in pain and you have the energy to not only do all your cooking, housework, exercise, work and do a hobby all on the same day? That's like having a superpower from my perspective.
Also, if your thyroid has packed in you need to take thyroxine. Not taking thyroxine with a dodgy thyroid is asking for trouble.
I eat a pretty balanced, imperfect vegetarian and mostly vegan diet. I find sticking to a strict vegan diet to be too difficult at the moment, but a vegetarian diet works for me. I can manage that and stick to it.

Same and I VERY MUCH agree. I remember what it felt like before I got sick. It obviously felt better, but you still have days where you don't feel your best. Healthy people get tired, overworked, underslept, stressed, sniffles, feel down for no reason. The line between normal and abnormal amounts of these things may be grey, but it's important to remind people it's OK to not be super human.
Whether this applies to Tati, I'm not sure. She's always selling. Regardless, it's not a good message to spread, especially when the "fix," is false too.

Daily napper here! Just wanted to add my 2 cents :)
I never was a napper, but then I started working in a place where we have a lot of breaks, and not a lot to do in the area (it’s pretty isolated and in an industrial cul de sac). We actually have a nap room set up with massage chairs, it’s very peaceful. I just started a daily 1/2 hour nap there to take a break from my screen and to avoid having to constantly make small talk with my coworkers (lol)
Anyway, now I am addicted to the nap! If it’s getting close to my nap time I can start to feel cranky and tired! So, my point is, naps are addictive and the body starts to crave it. Like you mentioned, you may get in the habit of napping because you have the luxury to do so. But craving that daily nap doesn’t necessarily mean there is some underlying health problem.

This is a corn byproduct that is contaminated with sulfites and other chemicals used to extract it. Also seed oils are healthy? Unless they are mechanically pressed they are also contaminated with some very toxic chemicals that are used to extract it. This isn’t fear mongering… I have something wrong with my liver (cholestasis) which makes me highly sensitive to any chemicals that I ingest. I mean, we are what we eat so it's insane to me that people often dismiss diet as if it doesn't really matter. It can make a big difference.
As someone with an autoimmune disease and issues with a generally overactive immune system, if I had listened to doctors, I'd be on meds and not feeling much better. I have talked with a registered dietitian and fertility specialist and both have said that there’s no evidence suggesting paleo is helpful for resolving the issues, and they both recommended a more Mediterranean style diet, plenty of vegetables and whole grains, whole fats, plant protein and some meat to fill it in.

So, I'm not vegetarian let alone vegan, but how do I go closer to more plant based/minimal meat and possible animal with food sensory issues? Any recommendations? I know some things substitutes won't work very well and for me I may still occasionally need to prioritize my immediate well being (aka: not passing out via out of control blood sugar). I want to be more comfortable with veggies before I start any major shifts otherwise I might end up eating only spinach and tomatoes.

Hey I'm also not vegan but consider myself flexitarian, I have reduced my meat intake drastically! I enjoy lots of veggies now because I found the ways to cook them that worked for me - broccoli, baby corn and courgette, grilled until crispy with garlic and onion powder : roasted sweet potatoes with crispy onions and sea salt etc; beyond burgers with hummus, Avocado, and caesar dressing (which has fish in it but, as I said, not vegan). And there are a ton of yummy recipes on this channel that helped me to realise plant based food can be healthy and filling.

I know this is not the point of the video but I hate it when people act like taking a nap is soooo bad lol. Millions of people nap and it's not bad for you! Okay that's all I wanted to say lol🙂👌🏽

I think her vitamins & saturated ft diet are silly. But I also felt like you were overly dismissive of her fertility issues. Perhaps you can't identify with her struggle if you popped out multiple offspring without obstacles. However, true veganism should include at least the same empathy for the suffering of humans that you have for animals

3 things: I love your videos! I know people that do not have children and their lives are not nothing (what a horrible for her to say). Lastly, I don’t know why Freelee gives you so much shit, I don’t care what you eat as long as you don’t eat animals. Freelee and Durianrider were very instrumental in my going vegan journey. I needed to see all those horrible acts of cruelty. It’s what keeps me vegan.

I don't care that you slowly kill yourself with your veganism, but I will continue to eat a carnivore diet. Thanks.

on the note of the afternoon nap thing - I take two medications, one is an SSRI and one is a central nervous system stimulent. The SSRIs make me sleepy and the stimulents keep me awake. The one day a week I wanna nap is the day I don't take my stimulent. Anti-depreeants make you tired, at least they make a lot of people tired. All I know is that I didn't wanna nap until I started Lexapro lol

Thank you for this!!!!! I follow her and I tend to be easily influenced but she was spewing some nonsense that I did not want to hear, plus lately I have not truly trusted her opinion on anything. I went vegan this year only to find that I am severely intolerant to soy products and wheat/gluten (so no seitan) But I have tried to keep eating beans and whole fruits/veggies/bean pasta/rice and I have added some clean meat like you mentioned!!! I stick to the best sources, local farms with good practices (since I am very anemic I need more iron than my supplements give and I have absorption issues since I am a bariatric patient, I know I am a mess) I wish I could have soy, I miss tofu, my fiance went vegan and has no future plans to go back but he understands my limitations and needs as I also have hashimoto's disease so my thyroid is super sensitive to changes and my blood sugar along with it. Again, I know, I am a mess I'm only 32. lol Anyway, thanks!

I have an autoimmune disease and plenty of inflammation in my body, and all of my doctors tell me to stay away from meat and dairy 🤯 I will never understand “carnivores “

Avoid gluten and dairy for sure but eating high quality meat in moderation is fine, even beneficial to people with autoimmune disease

I stopped eating animal protein at first for inflammatory stuff aswell. Went full vegan shortly after just because I wanted to try. I am now 8 years vegan and I think I am fine? Haven't had bad flare ups in years like I used to have

I think people really need to reframe what "parenting" is. You can be a parent without having biological children, and that shouldn’t be considered a lesser option/last resort. Maybe it would stop people from obsessing/stressing so much over their fertility.

Can you link us to good (i) animal suffering + (ii) environmental impact offsetting schemes (bearing in mind some of us are not in the US)? Finding these so hard to find online and it's making pushing for change challenging.

I’m just going to say: a woman who is aging may feel better endometriosis-wise because her estrogen is naturally dropping. 🙋‍♀️ She is likely in peri-menopause or near menopause. Low estrogen is a state that can decrease endometriosis lesions’ hormone response (the hormone response/fluctuations causes the lesions to respond similarly to a uterine lining in a period cycle). It is a hormone-dependent chronic inflammatory disease. It’s funny to me when people think they should feel the same way as they did 2 decades ago. So many factors change that are outside our control as we develop and even age.
