    Miss the days of London under Boris Johnson. I'm going to say something that may upset Guardian viewers/readers: Labour are awful on crime. Excluding the New Labour years the Labour Party have soft approach to crime. The reason why London's crime rate is getting worse is because many on the Labour team find stop and search ''racist''. Stop and search decreased knife crime in London under Boris to record lows. London needs a new crime approach and Khan needs to go.

      @sirhumphreyappleby8399 Před 4 lety +8

      These are both stupid arguments, New Labour saw an abandonment of proper policing just like any other government, the police shouldn't be going about stopping whoever they please without cause, they need to get out of their cars once in a while and engage with the public, in doing so they would make the presence of law and order known and act as a preventative force against crime. I am not sure I really want to live in a country that's capital can either be under permanent police overreach or one full of terrorists and the criminal classes.

      I'm a paramedic it looks like overkill, however this is normal. For a cardiac arrest you need at least three people working on the patient. If there are three victims all with strong potential to go into cardiac arrest you would need at least 9 members of staff. Bare in mind the cars cannot safely transport a patient TO hospital, a full ambulance is needed for the transport aspect. Also each car only has one member of staff on the majority of the time. Then for an arrest the cars are left and TWO staff members go in the back whilst one drives. Then later after the fact they will be dropped back to the cars. That added to the severity of the situation, the public element and crowds etc, there needs to be enough staff to manage the patient and coordinate the potentially nightmarish situation with the large crowds involving themselves. Also the potential for additional patients that may have not initially been called in.

      Overall this is a bit of an exceptional scenario.

      multuculturalism doesnt have anything to do with gangs the same way that British dont have anything to do with few British homeless drug addicts who go around shoplifting. Would you like it if we assume all of you are drunk and drug addicts because of what few of you do? Whatever, not that I expect you to understand it. All I see is "foreigners at it again" or "diversity at it again", and other stupid statements.

    • @vanessaruiz4705

      @James Vaughan dont even compare yourselves with Japanese, and I know what I am talking about because I lived there for 8 months. Very bad example. Japan is allowing many more immigrants now due to the population getting too old, but this will not happen there, because they have really harsh laws, and proper law enforcement. Just for carrying some drugs, not even for trafficking, they send people to jail for even 8 years. They also have death penalty. But, more important than that, there is a strong conscience of not committing crimes and foreigners living there have adapted well with very few exceptions. It's very uncommon to find reports of any kind of issue related to immigrants. Criminality is almost zero. And if an immigrant was caught committing a crime he would have his visa revoked and bye bye! so there isnt even a chance of the situation getting out of hands. And that's what your government should do.
