Formed in 1971 in Bethesda, Maryland, The Seldom Scene is an American bluegrass band that’s been instrumental in starting the progressive bluegrass movement. Their shows include bluegrass versions of country music, rock, and even pop.
What does it take for a bluegrass band to remain popular for more than four decades? For The Seldom Scene, it's taken not only talented musicians, a signature sound, and a solid repertoire, but also a sheer sense of fun.

Kick ass group! Harmony, vocals, instrumental; they have it all!
I miss the old gang so much. I listen to them everyday.
Ron’s banjo sounds like a busted speaker. He’s one of best ever on banjo!!
I love these guys. They're Great! They still have that Seldom Scene sound, but now that Ben Eldrige is gone, I wish they would change their name to "The New Seldom Scene". It would be more appropriate.
fantastic vokols end music. I love seldom scene
3:40 Pan American
32:26 Pickaway
Thanks Steven!
Sorry I missed it, did you guys have heat? I know what is is like to play cold gigs, Alan Rausch from Flatland Drive.
Thanks Culver. Weather wasn't bad for this one
Alan, I felt so bad for you all at our neighbor's Halloween party. I didn't want to leave but I was freezing. Can't imagine trying to do something skilled with fingers involved!

Without Duffey and the original guys they really suck. Unbearable to watch. Dudley is opposite of wine. He gets worse with age. 7 bridges road is intended to be a quartet and upbeat. This was brutal. They suck.
Thanks so much James.....You must be a terrific entertainer
so what do you have to offer besides your truly sad adolescent comments? ignorance is bliss. have a peaceful evening.
my last name should say something
