the 70's had so much talent it would take 20 years to listen to all of the great songs from that time period.
And another 20 years to listen to all the trash!
This is a classic. Whenever i need energy i listen this song.
This song is really a classic. But it was almost forgotten until 1992 when it was brought to life again via the Priscilla Queen of the Desert movie, an unexpected hit in cinemas and just in time for the Disco Music huge revival back then. Then, with the help of internet, which was just starting to take over the world, I Will Survive finally became eternal!
Remember it from growing up with it, as well as THE REPLACEMENTS.
@@michaelmcfarland1716 Beat me to it. LOL
Pure talent from Gloria Gaynor. This song resonates still to this day.
Still a great classic song. The sixties and the seventies are a great period. Motown had produced a lot of great singers in that period. Love to see you enjoyed it.
Hey, that's how we talk in Texas ! It's so fun watching you love what you do, Beth.
A timeless classic!
I never was into disco but when this song came out, I liked it immediately. I guess it was because of the lyrics. They were meaningful unlike most disco songs.
Thanks for this reaction!
CAKE does a great cover of this song. 😎
I liked this song. The 70's were a decade that will never happen again. So forget it. Thank you Miss Roars.❤
Love the way you smile and bod along to this song!
You have to listen to a live performance "The reason for the season" in a church at the British TV Show in 1993 (she was 50 years old). Now she is 80 years old and sings all over the world, an example of a woman!
Classic 😊
This song was branded into my soul as it was used in my high school PE class on dance, and I was a shy mouse unable to dance with a boy.
But SUCH a great motivational song! So much energy. She sings so quickly. And how she brushes that loser off with “Go on now. Go.” 😂
Great song, I was in high school when it came out. I also really love the version by Cake, whole different take on it but just as brilliant.
I love that song, at the same time I love your smile girl. Very pretty
Thoroughly enjoyed! 🎉🎉
Thank Carol!
It was played so much back in the day and I got so tired of it. I can take it now.
WOW! Your videos have really leveled up recently. I love the comparisons to speaking voices and more of your singing to explain your comments. MORE!
I really like this with more commentary and interaction.
Thanks I'm glad you noticed! I'm doing less but taking a bit more time too edit, research and go indepth into the video. Wanted to see if it was recieved well :)
Una canción tan emblemática de los EEUU en México se an hecho en varias versiones una canción como superación personal gracias mi H. Prrj ❤ una canción que no pasa de moda bien Beth 👏👏🍀🍀 porciento hoy te ves radiante mi bella 💙
Probably my favorite disco song ever.
This arose so many memories from when I was cruising the Priscilla/I Will Survive gay Paris in the 90's. It's more than a classic, it's an anthem. 😭
Great song from my youth.
❤ All your videos Beth, cheers from México. 😊
Enjoyed the backstory about the song. I was never a fan of disco, but this song transcended disco, in large part because Gloria Gaynor absolutely killed it.
I've always wandered what happened to her voice in 1979-1980 because it changed so abruptly. She was so comfortable hitting high notes and her tessitura was so high and then it became lower and raspier. The change became noticeable in her 1979 performances and the album Let me know i have a right. It was definitely a transitional period and after then her voice stayed almost the same until now. It's like a mystery to me. That doesn't mean she lost her voice or that it sounds bad. Not at all! It just changed and became more interesting and expressive in my opinion.
Yes Beth love to hear you do cover of this old man chris from Australia ❤😂😂😂😂😂
Another big-time throwback to the skating rink. LOL If it wasn't for skating, I wouldn't know hardly anything about disco. Some may contend this is more Motown than disco, but I think it's a cross-over.
It would be great if you reacted to: "Ta logia kai ta xronia"
It's one of the most legendary songs of Greece. There is a video.

Would love to see You react to Canada's Sarah Mclachlan Drawn To The Rythym is a good start one off of her debut album .
Hi Beth. I highly recomend you to react to Carla Morrison´s tiny desk. Is SOOOOOOOOO good and there´s so much to analyse it´s insane. Hopefully with captions on.
I love me some AH AH AH AH AH AH AH AH AH AH:):) Yup iconic. By the way. Love the new format of analysing. Keep it coming!
Thank you!
Great reaction...Please check out GABBY BARRETT her song THE GOOD ONES...I think you will like this one.
Love Gloria Gaynor and this song is kind of an inspirational song for me from time to time needing a little kick in the butt.
I think you should check out Roberta Flack Killing Me Softly.
Haven't seen this live version before. The dancers are 😅 but a truly great song never dies 😊
Okay well now you have to do Hot Stuff by Donna Summer
You should react to a Swiss yodeling family band Oesch's die Dritten they're amazing!
Would love to see some kind of video where you watch multiple versions by the same artist (live, studio etc) or covers by various artists. Even though I don't think Cake's version of this song is that great, I would still love to hear your reaction when lsitening to both versions.
@BethRoars How much do I need to pay you to react to the band HIM?
Beth, you need to react to Cake's version.
I love Cakes remake of this tune
Great song. If you want to react to a great contemporary songwriter and singer, you should have a look at Alice Phoebe Lou. For some reason, she is overlooked in the reaction community.
I remember an interview where she said that Disco was R and B simplified to make it easy for white people to dance to it. It made me laugh, but I never heard her repeat it.
Now watch them sing it in replacements great move fun frame
Could you react to Jorn Lande?
Faz tempo que você não reage a um artista brasileiro. Duvido você não se emocionar ao ouvir a música Sem parar do grupo Fat Family. Tem uma versão ao vivo que é sensacional.
Brazucas são tão carentes... rs
It's such a great song, but I also love the incredible cover version of "Cake" 😅 And by the way: How about a song by Melanie Safka who has passed away a few days ago. I also love, love, love her voice. Here's an example:

Please can you react to " fact "by tom mac donald !
Hello beautiful greetings from Culiacan Sinaloa Mexico 🇲🇽 please react to the new official video for my Mexico remix
React to Motley crue
Great version of this in “the replacements” with Keanu reeves and a bunch of football players doing the Electric Slide in jail.
NOT the Solid Gold dancers backing her up.
It's a great song, but those are some of the ugliest pants in history!😀😀😀
