What gearbox are you boys running? Love the build, keep up the content boys
Cheers mate! It's a Toyota W55 gearbox with an adapter bell housing
Nice work, just watched latest episode and came back here to see what gearbox you're running. W58? And whose bellhousing/flywheel?
Cheers mate. We used the bellhousing sold on Nzad. The flywheel was part of a factory 1UZ kit. We had issues with the clutch and pressure plate spacing though so we had to get a different throw out bearing. I believe there is a thicker flywheel that can be used but would be best to get in contact with Kelvin at CartuneNZ as he is the 1UZ master 😅
Did you have any problems fitting the vacuum brake booster along with the engine?
Yep so the factory Cressida one won't work. We used an MR2 booster but swapped the Cressida master onto it. That's shown in part 4 of the build 😄
@@fixbuildrace Thanks for your reply. I'm planning to swap my 21R with 1UZ like yours. I'm really glad to see Cressida in lots of projects on CZcams lately. It's such a beautiful car. There is another guy in New York doing the same swap and uploading his videos on CZcams as well. Channel called Curb Cut. Keep up the good work👍👏
