    I like the notebook project. I loved that you used the decorative stitches! It gives me another way to use my decorative stitches while working on my stitch book. Thank you for sharing your videos on CZcams!

    I made your Cork notebook cover today. I used the knitted design cork and the vinyl lining. Thanks for the tutorial.

    I just learned about your channel and I will have to explore it. I like doing small craft objects in between working on quilts. Keeps the hobby of sewing interesting. This looks like a fun craft. I like planners also and this would be a neat cover for any sized notepad or notebook. It will also allow me to explore heat transfer vinyls. One more tool or tick in my toolbox!

    Love it! I learned you can press cork and I had no idea how to use iron on vinyl until now. Great project and awesome directions. I see this in my very near future!Thank you.

    I have done similar using heavier, hand wound threads in the bobbin, working from the back side.

    • @mouseboots46
      @mouseboots46 Před rokem

      Yes you do have to fiddle with bobbin tension. If you have a case rather than drop-in, a second case reserved for "fiddling", especially if you think you may do some more extensive experimenting.

    Great tutorial Jessica. I know what I can make with my knitting design cork. Can I use cotton fabric for the lining?

    • @SewManyCreations
      @SewManyCreations  Před rokem +1

      Sure but you would have to finish the edges. This is a raw edge project.

  • @pamelaleitman9305

    I am in the middle of making this now! So the vinyl has a white sheet on back side that if you pull the tip a little it is adhesive. I leave the white sheet on and press. Then i take off the clear front and heat press.. that seems to be what I have to do. ? There were no directions that I could see. Thank you! The embroidery is fun but a bit wonky on mine.. no biggie!

    • @SewManyCreations
      @SewManyCreations  Před rokem +1

      If the paper is white and the vinyl is sticky it’s probably not HTV but permanent vinyl. HTV has a clear top sheet and the vinyl is not sticky.

    • @pamelaleitman9305
      @pamelaleitman9305 Před rokem

      The back is white. The vinyl shiny part is sticky when you try to remove it. So its permanent? Can i use it or its for some other material?

    Would you decorate the front of a cork notebook for a male? (My adult son)..

    • @SewManyCreations
      @SewManyCreations  Před rokem +1

      I guess it would depend on him and what his likes are. If I was making one for my husband for instance, I would keep it very plain because that’s more his style. If your son is into sports or movies, etc. maybe you could decorate it in his preference. I also think it would look really cool to do some very simple stitches in neutral colors!

      @pamelaleitman9305 Před rokem +1

      @@SewManyCreations He is conservative but loves the idea of cork - vegan- sustainable-etc so maybe neutral colors good idea!

      @SewManyCreations  Před rokem
