  • I make a Christmas traveler's notebook style cover I plan on using with my December Daily insert this year. It is a fabric cover made using a place mat. I sew it add eyelets and put in the elastic. Thanks so much for watching! I hope this gives you some inspiration!

Thanks for a really good tutorial! Using a template is a great idea! I'm not as good at 'eye balling' the measurements anymore.

You're welcome, so glad you liked it. Yeah I can't eyeball very well so a template helps a lot.

I have the same crop a dile. And on the top where you choose the size of your holes you can pres it forward and now you can make the eyelets.
There are different settings. Try to see on CZcams, there are tons of videos of how to do.. hope it works for you 😉👍

I missed some videos, so I'm trying to catch up. Maybe you've mentioned this b4, but where did you get that nifty mid-sized lighter? I don't like regular disposable size and a candle lighter is too big. Yours is just right. Beautiful placemat to use for many crafts.

I think I picked it up at Dollar tree. I like it a lot too. Thanks for watching!

I did try this tutorial and it turned out great. But I do have a question for you. I did my elastic like yours (tight but not too tight) however it is making my inserts fold in a little where the elastic exits the insert. I made my inserts using heavy weight cardstock and about 8 pieces of copy paper. Any ideas or is this normal?

Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier. I took a break from youtube.
