The concept of racism was created to function as the shiny object that would distract American citizens from the deeper social issue that is classism. People were focused on the constructed concept of racism instead of fighting for free education, free healthcare, affordable housing, and a fair justice system.

I’m in tears right now. Typing this after you guys said, “God was very intentional in making everyone of us. He doesn’t make any mistakes.” That touched my heart. Growing up in a predominantly white environment I always felt like my white peers were superior to me in all aspects because they couldn’t relate to my struggles at home or growing up. Thank you for using your platform to speak up about this and use it for God’s glory, it means the world to us :,) ❤️

I love y'all so much for being so understanding and realize what go on in the real world. Its so crazy that some white people just don't understand what black people go though. we as society need to teach our children how to treat each other equally and with respect. Just the other day me and my family got together at a park. It's was a guy with his kids playing on the playground and one of his son was try to pull his brother closer to him. So his dad ask what are you doing and the son said "you told me to be careful around black people and to keep my brother safe". This is what they are teaching their kids at a young age and that is just so sad.

Brian & Lexy ~ I truly appreciate your in-depth conversations you've had on racism! I'm in my mid+ 60's and have said since junior high school that "we will never be equal. Those of us who were stolen from our African countries and brought here to build this country to build it to a powerful nation...will never be treated equally." At the age of 6 I was forced to use a port a potty (with no seat...just a hole in the ground) behind a famous Texas fast food restaurant because my skin was brown. I'd just finished kindergarten so mom didn't realize I could read what was spray painted on the side of the port a potty. I've remembered it daily for 60 years, it said, "for Ni----s only." I looked up at mom after I was done emptying my bladder (into that hole in the ground that mom had to physically hold me over) and noticed that mom, (who was NOT a crier, had tears in her eyes), I said, "Mom what is a Ni--er?" When that one tear fell from her eye, I fell silent...for decades! WHY DID MY OLDER SIBLINGS NOT WARN ME HOW SOCIETY REALLY WAS???
My father was a Church of God pastor, from day one, I was raised to believe that we were created in God's image. I have come to realize (after my 6 year eyeopener) that because of sin, society has employed its own type of laws governed by skin color. It doesn't matter that I have two college degrees and have worked as an OB nurse at the same hospital for 30 years. I still have patients that don't want me to care for them because of my skin color. Can you believe that. My husband is of German/Austrian descent, our two kids are light brown and its sad to say that they have had racial issues smack them in the face in their time on this planet.
My husband, I truly believe he is color blind. Which has been frustrating (at times) in our 42 year marriage. He seems to think that we are the human race, all the same, and to get past the hurt over how we are treated. Max heard me tell our 34 year old son to be careful when he was going out (after the murder of. George Floyd), I told Martin, I wanted him to return to his place still breathing, which seemed to cause Max pause. Now whenever I talk to our kids, Max wants to know how they are. Why does it take something so drastic to make people think? I've told my caucasian coworkers to treat brown skinned folks with respect because you never know what kind of hand we have been dealt because eventually we fold...then blow! Sad to say but true. I also tell them that if we brown folks are truthful, we would love for caucasians to have our skin tone, and hair, for a week or at least a few days so they can walk in our shoes.

Hi, i recently joined the Cole family, I hope I'm allowed to count myself in. 🤭 First thing... i love you guys. You're so real. God bless you!
I am a woman living in Europe, the Netherlands. I was brought up in the Dutch caribbean and have lived here most of my life. I am saddened by the racial inequality in America especially. On our island when I was growing up I/we did not see color! I truly believe the way to - as you said - start to rebuild is by the way we teach our children. And as Brian says we need to acknowledge that there's a problem before we can find a solution.
Continue to do what you do, voice your opinions. That's what family's do, talk about the good AND the bad! Keep the faith and hope.
I've been following you guys just a couple of weeks. Love you and little Aza. Got a lot of catching up to do with earlier videos. Take good care and be blessed.

    I'm here for these conversations!!!!!
All I can say is my tired is tired! Being a black woman is a double struggle. My Prayer is for the body of Christ to unite, we need to have these conversations in the church and be intentional about them. Love from South Africa ❤️

Amazing Topic. I think many voices need to be heard. An I do think that you guys use your platform to help others and I truly think God has you guys on your platform for a reason. To not only voice your opinion. But to instill wisdom into many other that may not understand. Awesome.

They are talking about taking 13 off Netflix saying that it’s adding to the issues with BLM and protesting. It’s sad that people think a movie like this is keeping looting and rioting going on. This world has become a scary place for African Americans!!

You are absolutely right about the exhaustion that comes when you have incessant conversations with folks who just don't get it. It is also upsetting and discouraging when you have to address the racial undertones. We need to stop preferring comfort over conscience and overcome our apathetic attitudes, because, let's face it, many of us have seen the suffering of others and have kept on as if we hadn't seen it. We are so concerned with ourselves that we are dismissive of any pain that is not our own. That being said, I continue on in hope.

You guys are awesome! I 100% come in agreement with y’all! I am too doing what I can to educate myself on this issue even tho I am black. There are things about AA history that I didn’t know. Thank you so much for using your voice and speaking against this! If I being honest I have struggled emotionally on this topic especially when it came to speaking to my white friends and family. The past couple of weeks have been hard and still hard, but lm hopeful!

Thank you for sharing. I'm a mother of 4 grown children and a woman of faith. I said to a couple of my friends if I'm this upset could you imagine someone who is not a Christian. I just believe this is a time for us as believers to reflect Christ in our daily lives because the world is watching. 🙏

Thank you for talking about this and for sharing your thoughts on what's going on in the world today. I, for one, don't understand why people get mad at youtubers and/or celebrities stating their opinion on topics like this but at the same time if you didn't say anything at all about what's going on, they get mad and assume you don't care. Whether we agree with them or not everyone has the right to state their opinion on whatever they like. No one should tell you, oh just show us your baby or just stick to talking about this or that or just make movies or music or whatever your profession and leave the heavy topics to the politicians. We all have a brain and ideas and are allowed to express what's on our minds. We're all dealing with something in our lives so we should all just be kind to everyone

We have the right to love and be loved no matter who or where we are from. My Father is your Father wow what a wonderful Father we have. I love you Brian, Lexi & beautiful little Aza I enjoy watching the love you have for one another & your families. I am from New Zealand and a native Maori who has not encountered racial segregation in my 63 years of life not even when I travelled and lived overseas, but I know that it does exist more so in America and of course Africa and I donot like it one bit. I believe that if we all got rid of the racial tensions and discrimination we would have our Heaven on Earth. Keep up the good work guys Love to all or as we say in New Zealand ...Aroha = Love

I loved everything you had to say. I have a subscriber for awhile now. I haven't been able to protest but I'm doing other things to help. One is just conversation , talking white and so many young people that don't know there history. So far it's been pretty great. A few bumps, but when you have people reaching and just saying I want to understand. I've refered so many people to books and also documentaries one was what you had mentioned #13. Thank you much and God bless to you and your family. Oh kiss that little cutie pie😘💜💜💜

Thanks for this video. I have been very emotional about what's going on in this world . I have a 17 year old son whom I'm terrified as soon as he walks out the door. I have also struggled with the fact that you have ppl of other ethnicities that just don't understand our pain in all this. We're not saying ALL LIVES MATTER bc we know this we just want our black lives to be included🙏
