As it is..ebay headers usually means DNA motorsports or some similar brand..the true shortcomings of "ebay" headers is almost always the gaskets and hardware..get ICT billet bolts, use never seize, and Percys gaskets retorqued twice after 100, and 500 miles...cheers man...Subbed!
I have a 2010 SS that I had Maximizer HP headers with the hi flow cats installed 3 weeks ago. Sounds fantastic and added 25-30 hp. I also had hi flow mufflers installed 6 months ago and just wasn’t loud enough. I am getting it tuned this week to maximize the hp gain, and prevent a CEL again. It is well worth the money. I also got the headers and cats off EBay for $800 and $55 shipping. WEL WORTH IT!

But for the most part, I usually assume at least ~10-15 HP gains for a V8 engine of this displacement. “Soft reseting” the battery also helps the ECU readjust/relearn the AFR parameters; which is definitely helpful if untuned, since the ECU might be a bit confused right after installation (less exhaust restriction/backpressure, having to run more lean?).
Anyone trying to get headers in California look no further than ebay. I drive a 2010 2ss camaro and I have been trying to find places that can send headers to California. With no luck I turned to ebay and got some cheap headers. I bought a set of cheap ebay headers for about $231 and got them sent to California. The welds looked ok and got them installed this last tuesday. Only issue was clearance with the drive shaft which is a pretty common issue with headers. Other than that I was shocked by how much more power the car had. I didn't wrap them since there are many opposing viewpoints as to getting them wrapped to prevent overheating. But so far the temperature hasn't changed at all. I'm suppose to get it dyno tuned tomorrow so I will keep ya'll updated on how much horsepower I picked up.
Did you need anything more than what the pipes came with? Any sensor extentions? Did the pipes clear all other components? Is it stock exhaust or aftermarket? Have you had the car tuned?
Most aftermarket long tube headers delete the secondary o2 sensors, you will need a custom tune to delete the CEL (check engine light) and also to reap the benefits so your car doesnt lean out or run to lean, which will hurt the motor. Etuners can do this, most preset tuners can not delete the cel or secondary o2 sensors.
Ricardo Perez it won’t run lean because of the up stream o2 sensors will give the ecu the correct air fuel info Buy an o2 extender and it’ll fix the check engine light caused by the down steam o2 sensors. No need for a tune
I ordered some of those headers and I am from Austin tx. I have not installed them yet because I dont want the check engine light from the 2and 02 sensor so I'm gonna order some high flow catalytic converters to complete the installation! ..Sounds good on your video like to hear it in person! Yea those headers come with resonators not catalytic converters! Would have to purchase catalytic converters separately with the 02 port inn them to keep the check engine light off or delete the second 02 out of the ECM...

don't get BBK. We put them on our 2007 Stang and I had to get them machined to fit correctly against the block. they also didn't coat them properly which blocked the bolts from going through and those also had to be worked
cookymunster don't be scared man they are good for the price but texas speed are really good as well, but I recommend to get ebay ones they are cheap and they sound nice .

I bought the samw headers but mine only came with one oxagen sensor on each header. Did yours come that way ? And what did you do to bypass the check engine light from only having one sensor instead of the 2 that come on the stock mani?

It’s a Pulley. Spray wd40 on each pulley bolt and figure out which 1 is bad or could be because your belt is going bad aswell

You have to push the header tube in alittle with a hammer to get good clearance, I always check just to be sure even months after installing mine

You have to delete the cel light with a tune.
Drill a hole and weld a bung on the header and screw in the sensor.

A lot of people use these headers. by all accounts the headers are great. But the extra stuff like you mentioned, just don't use
