My Favorite Dua in The Qur'an by Nouman Ali Khan

- A long time ago, Nouman Ali Khan made a du'a' (prayer) to Allah that changed his life.
"Our Lord! Bestow on us from our spouses and our offspring who will be the comfort (Literally: the coolness) of our eyes, and make us leaders for the righteous" - Surat Al-Furqān 25:74

Nouman Khan began his formal Arabic training during his childhood schooling in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He continued his Arabic grammar study in Pakistan, where he received a scholarship for ranking among the top 10 scores in the national Arabic studies board examination. Under the guidance of Dr. Abdus-Samie, founder and formal principal of Quran College in Faisalabad, Pakistan, he developed a keen methodical understanding of Arabic grammar. He further benefited from Dr. Abdus-Samie by internalizing his unique teaching methods and later translating his work into English for the benefit of his own students. Nouman currently serves as professor of Arabic at Nassau Community College and has taught Modern Standard and Classical Arabic at various venues for nearly 6 years with over 700 students. His handbook published by the Bayyinah Arabic Studies Institute for ARA-201 is also being used as a class aide at the Jaamiah-Al-Uloom Al-Islamiyyah, Institute of Islamic Education in Ajax, Canada.

As salaam alikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatahu 🙂. Bismillah Ir Rahman Nir Raheem. " Rabbana hublana min azwajina wa zurriyatina qurrata ayyunuv waj alna lil muttaqina imaaman". This is my favourite dua also. After every Salah I recite this 3 times without fail from many years. It's ok if anyone believes it or not, it's between me and Allah. It's really brought coolness to my eyes. Thank you brother Nouman Ali Khan. Please all those who watch this video practise reading this dua. It will bring coolness to everyone's eyes. Insha'Allah...

"رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامً" Rabbana hab lana min 'azwajina wathurriyyatina qurrata aAAyunin waijAAalna lilmuttaqeena imama
Our Lord! Grant unto us wives and offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and give us (the grace) to lead the righteous

@A.S Siddique it's not "wives", its spouses, or partners. In Arabic the word zauj or azwaaj means pair. It is gender neutral, it's not feminine. So, women or men can both recite this dua.
And those who say, "Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous."
