Not going to lie, this gave me vibes of Liverpool in August where we just bottled it with chance after chance and giving an absolute shite penalty.
Dont know what Dummet was doing there. It kind of reminded me of when Cieron Clark when he got sent off against Norwich in the 21/22 season. Hopefully this is just a blippy season. I still trust Howe as we have ambition again unlike past managers like Bruce and McClown but we need to evolve and push forward instead of "oh we got fourth last season and got to a League Cup final"

Dummett gets over the halfway line but he cant pass a forward ball, its always sideways or backwards, so we don't progress. That said we were inviting them on faffing about at the back instead of getting into their half. Very frustrating.

This game is a story of our season. Promising to begin with the triangle of Barnes, Hall and Anderson was perfect. Then we are forced to bring in Paul Dummett who cost us the game and probably Europe. Dummett, dubravka Ritchie and about 5/6 players need to shifted because they are simply not good enough we can't have sentimentality anymore we need to grow as a club and a fanbase.
You're wrong about Dubravka. You seem to forget about all the important saves he's made, including penalties.

Dummett, Longstaff, Dubravka, Ritchie need moved. A waste of a swuad space. Longstaff has been useless this season. Dubravka isnt even a good shot stopper any longer. Miley needs to go out on loan. Sell Target, Wilson, should have sold Lascelles in Jan when he had a transfer value. Now he is crocked and impossible to move on.
Last season everyone said this was the old guards swan song. 12 months on and the team is still being stunk out by players we had in tje Championship.

Why does HOWE keep putting under 21 players on the bench and never plays them .Surely Alex Murphy who is a defender should be given a chance before Dummet comes on as those players are the future not Dummet .Dummet normally does a shift when he comes on which is very rare now, but that challenge or should I say head lock has cost us 3 points .But pickford also kept them in the game as he made so many saves. Roll on Fulham but please Mr Howe give the youngsters a chance .Don't put them on the bench and never use them We had tired players who needed replacing and you don't do it till its too late. This is why players can pick up more injuries by playing too long in a game .

Championship players that have lingered around this club stealing a living need to be sold or released.
Dummet today is an epitome of this, he's basically cost us all 3 points and possibly Europe with one of the silliest league one style fouls I have ever seen.
I am sick to death of seeing players like matt Richie, Paul dummet, Krafth, Hendrick, fraser Gillespie, Hayden, even Lascelles and Dubravka to an extent getting on the bench or still around in and around this club, they are relics from a bygone era; like the Steve Bruce days or when we had steve Mclown as manager and where fighting survival.
There is so much deadwood at this club that I have said for years needs moving on and replaced with either younger players or actual premier league standard players, these players will never be good enough for where we want to be.
For me Longstaff is one of the biggest weaknesses in our team and has been for a while. he is too slow in his passing, pace and quick thinking ability to be getting regular first team football, he kind of just exists in the team to stroll around doing nothing of note game after game, Bruno is a world class player and it will be annoying him no end that he has Longstaff playing alongside him week in week out. he is a squad player at best and should never be near first team
Anderson is 10 times the player longstaff will ever be, get him benched eddie and play willock bruno and anderson FFS.
Minteh probably one of our best prospects in years is out on loan, get him back and give him a go at RW Murphy for me is hit and miss, why not give a young lad a go?
For me we need a major clear-out this summer, even if we sell players for small fees they need to be gone and replaced in the summer.
Minimum of 6 players through the door for me. 2 CB a new CM, RW, AND maybe a Right back to replace Kratth

Never ever fancy us at 1-0 up. Longstaff man so many miss placed passes the game seemed to pass him by and thats been for weeks, Dubravaka was snail like at coming for stuff. Anderson what a boost in midfield he gave us, Bruno covers some ground man not just last night but all season god help us if we lose him. Burn n Hall had great games too your not telling me its taken Hall 8 month to learn how to play at LB he should have been used loads more this season. Dummett just didn't need to be making that challenge sooooo annoying. Isak was class imagine if he could stay fit for a full season.

Dummett did not just cost 2 points, he killed a great momentum for the home straight. What on earth was he doing. All he had to do is stay goal side and stand his ground. WTF was he doing having A Young of all people in a headlock? Disgraceful. Hard to forgive that.. If NUFC took 3 points , they would have done as Everton were shitee, they would have gone to Fulham confident and happy to take a draw at least.
NOTE: Due to the many injuries early in the season, Eddie seems to have gone easy on the lads. They seem too soft and hence picking up yet more inquires. .
ISAK - It will be hard for NUFC to keep him. 1 - they have to sell before they can buy. 2 - without money, they can't get quality players in and he will have ambitions to win things. brutal honesty. I can see Arsenal and Chelsea going for him but Chelsea will end up taking him. He would be perfect in that team. The thing about Isak is he has tons of improvement to come. All round, he is much better than Halland or any other striker in the league. He has looked strong last few games as he has now fully shaken off his groin injury. He will get fitter at the business end. Too many big clubs looking at him. NUFC have needs. Can't buy without selling. Also Bruno, has a et out close, i can see a top club from Spain coming for him. 2 world class payers at NUFC. Imagine Isak with better suppier than Longstaff :)

Where do I sign?’ Dummett was an idiot to do what he did near 90 minutes and (I’ve got to say) those types of players will drive Isak, Bruno and others out of our club.
Everton fan, expected us to get a good thumping to be honest! first half we were crap and got away with a lot, improved in the second half and a point is a result. If not for the dreadful injuries Newcastle would be right up there but I think it's too late for getting into Europe.

We're a mid table team with a mid table manager and 3 class players n Gordon, Bruno and Isak. Willock, Barnes, Wilson, Joelinton and Trippier need to be sold The rest are very average at best. There are way to many flags of the old regime here.

This season - a handful of performances aside - has been very poor. We can blame injuries but, regardless, we should have done better. Pope, Livramento, Botman, Hall, Bruno, Tonali, Anderson, Miley, Isak, Barnes, Gordon, Joelinton, to be retained. Accept any decent offers for Dubravka, Wilson, Wilock, Almiron, Trippier, Burn, Targett, Lascelles, Longstaff, and Schar (due to age/resale value and/or need to raise funds for FFP). The rest (Dummett, Ritchie, Hendrick etc) are dead wood, to be shipped out ASAP. Minteh back from loan to be reserve right wing. That then leaves 10 new players needed to balance the clear out: GK, RB, CBx3, LB, CDM, RW, CAM, CF. Seems like a lot but it’s about right

Paul Dummett & Sean Longstaff (Mark Gillespe, maybe?) are academy graduates so that counts for home grown talent in Europe... Which if I'm not mistaken is important... You are 100% we really really needed a second goal to kill off the match. That at the end of the day is what has cost us.
People go on about the dead wood but there is only so much we can move on a season because of FFP. You cannot find bodies cheap enough. Perhaps next season we might have 1 or 2 youth bodies we can bring through instead. Probably be better option to try and give some youth experience.

MAJOR PERSONNEL changes required in the off season, this shite is getting old. So silly to talk about competing in Europe next year with this squads inconsistency from game to game, particularly with lower ranked teams. No magic bullet to be had but some serious soul searching to be done and changes to be implemented. That being said Manchester United on paper look like top 4 material with an impressive roster of players but they also are seriously inconsistent. I'm sorry but a lot of you are very negative, I understand the passion, but the talk of Bruno and players wanting to leave is not what i like hearing. I totally agree with everyone and can understand about Paul, but its done and no one, more than himself, will know where he is at now, after a long serving career here and a good living also. I thought when we avoided that certain relegation season, not too long ago, that the project would take 5 years, I'm way way out. I just recalled City and Chelski, Along with the fact I'm convinced all these New financial rulings have been brought in to keep us down, but that's just me, still no rulings on those two yet. Calvert Lewins penalty was poor, thought Dubravka could have done better if he had a stronger hand. Pope in the same position pushes it wide. Frustrating that tonight, 2 points dropped.
