I have spent the last two months making this video, and most of that time was me learning how to edit. So the earlier parts of the video I re-edited and are kind of clunky.

I bought part 4s manga literally just to see the artstyle evolution
I'm glad araki changed styles. To be honest, im not to fond of the big buff style, with astroboy / manga of that time qualities. JoJo needed to evolve, and it did. Part 7 looks amazing, and, though i've only just started part 8, that looks amazing too. Part 5 seemed to have a good artstyle, though it was apparently a bit messy, and part 6, though i found it too boring to continue, looked decent too. I couldn't imagine Cripple being a buff man, or the agile Diego Brando being a chonker.

A light-hearted character like Josuke with the stand Crazy Diamond, that references an extremely dark song by Pink Floyd.
Shine On You Crazy Diamond is a song about a member Syd Barett, who abused LSD. He left the band after he was losing his grip on reality and sanity.
I know, it is a bit strange.
Edit: Reading this comment months later, may I ask, if you have heard Syd Barrett's Solo stuff? If so what is your favorite of his songs, my personal would probably be Terrapin; for a time it was Octopus, but my opinion has changed on the subject.
I feel like araki chose it to match the theme of DIU, "Shine On You Crazy diamond" seems like a happy song right, but then it actual lyrics are dark
Now lets compare to DiU, it may seem all jazzy and happy, but as you read it more in-depth it shows up dark it really is. Shegci (i forgot how to spell his name) dead, Hayato's father is dead, Okuyasu's brother is gone, and Kira's literal murders.

In a way josuke did lose lose his grip on the 'reality' he once knew before the death of his grandpa, changing his life and putting him in many dangerous situations, eventually killing him (ofc bites the dust arc)
They made the song to help him heal
And crazy diamond’s main power is healing/restoring things so araki take it into consideration

The version of the song used in the video is from *The Rainbow’s* crazy diamond leitmotif. The cut he made for the song I liked so much that I had to use it in my own. Honestly this video wouldn’t exist without his.
