    Same issue with the Supersix and the Integrated Momo bars in the UK. I'll probably end up getting an Aeroad instead as that ships with an integrated cockpit and the sizing is good for me.

      I think this is pushing buyers towards the full bike (as opposed to the frame) just in order to get the bar.

    one must be crazy to pay 900 eurs for a integrated handlebar.

    As a weightweenie you should have a look at the Avian Canary: cheap, extremely light ~250g, instock with all kinds of 3dp transition spacers.
    One of the reasons why there is no stock is because there also high demand in China/Asia and there is no point for some companies to sell to the western market before the local market isn't satisfied.

      I have heard of the Avian, but also heard it was quite flexy, but definitely worth a look. I had no idea that there were so many high end cyclists in China!

      I have the Avian Canary in 360x120. I've had it since last October and it's been great. I haven't noticed any flex issues at all. I weigh 65kg and the handlebar is 240g and cost me $195 on AliExpress during some sale.

      @@CyclespeedTours I have the Avian and it is not flexy at all! I'm running on a 380x90. Now the price is higher probably due to demand. Been waiting for Roval Alpinist forever just can't get it

      Problem with avian isn’t the flexibility but rather the lackluster quality and shit customer support.

    I've bought 4 sets of airwolf cockpits on AliExpress, full T1000 (allegedly), 36cm wide (they do wider too), 334g for a set. Costs 120 euro shipped to Europe. I weigh 85kg, I can vouch for stiffness. I've put more than 6k km on them, including a lot of miles on alpine descents and shitty roads, they're rock solid. And they have stock. So no, it's not difficult to buy cockpits. It may be hard to get ripped off to the tune of 900 EUR to buy a cockpit though, that I'm not going to check.

      Good to know. It can take a leap of faith to buy an 'unknown' Chinese bar off Aliexpress, but good feedback like this certainly helps. And yeah, I've cancelled my Darimo order so I will find something cheaper

    Need to keep an eye on Gemini
    I believe they are imminently due to release a road bar and THM have there new Frontale Aero.
    Unfortunately not available straight away.
    I did consider Darimo but as I cannot test I did not bother don’t want a flexible bar for €1000! The Roval is a good bar light enough but stiff. I’m aware of 4 U.K. retailers with Roval 38x115

      Neither but I was an oil trader! With saddles at 400, frames at 6000 and full bikes at 13000, it doesn't seem that crazy for a hand made part.

      @MS-bw7yt Před měsícem +1

      @@CyclespeedTourswell, 400 for saddles, 6000 for frames and 13000 for bikes is also pretty stupid 😅 especially for the quality you get in the cycling industry

    • @CyclespeedTours
      @CyclespeedTours  Před měsícem

      @@MS-bw7yt I agree, but if you want to buy the best European, US made bike stuff then those are today's prices. Whether it's 'worth it', especially compared to cheaper Asian alternatives is the big question. When the Chinese get the hang of marketing to us, I suspect they will get a bigger share and prices will come down.

      @@CyclespeedToursthen waiting 2 months for a one-piece cockpit doesn't sound too bad. Very few people need 130 mm or longer these days with modern geometry. If bike-fit is first priority, separate bar and stem are available. If I had a company that produced cockpits, 130 mm definitely would not be high in priority
