Ronnie has the fastest 147 and the fastest 146 break. Amazing.

„4 Grand? You can get a 140 for that but not a Max...“ If anyone else had said that we‘d think how cocky was that? But this is Ronnie...

I don't think it's cocky. 4 grand is very small amount.

I agree with Ronnie on this: a maximum score is still a rare event, and thus worthy of being rewarded appropriately. Sponsors need to factor that into the prize money, perhaps by reducing the "pay-out" for placements. The possibility of a 147 adds excitement to a match, and remains a focal point of entertainment for spectators. I am sure that Ronnie would have achieved that 147 had the reward fitted the effort. In this case, his "effort" fitted the lack of an appropriate reward.

Barry Hearne is the man to talk to, he has 80M in the bank and he doesn't play while Osullivan has 32M

In the interview he's talking about a different incident- one where he reluctantly makes a 147.

I bet everyone knew that already. That interview is related, though.

It is thanks to people like Ronnie that snooker became popular.

Ken is right There is a clip where Ken Doherty was on a 147.
The prize was not Money. It was a CAR
Type in Ken Doherty misses 147 on Final Black. The person that uploaded it FUCKED UP with that headline but it is still sickening for poor Ken

The Rocket would have broken a tie with Hendry for the most 147 at the Crucible.

Exactly, that should have been reward enough, to get another record. However, the prize should remain at £147,000, nothing more, nothing less.

  • @sports_grinder1026

They should make a new rule. If you score a 147 in the world final then you get £147,000. Don't think it's ever happened in a world final plus the money would go to one of the 2 best players in the tourno

Sports_Grinder You are correct that there has never been a 147 maximum break in a World Championship Final- the closest anyone has come to making one was Stephen Hendry against Peter Ebdon in 1996. Hendry potted 15 reds 15 blacks + yellow and green for a 125 break and missed the brown along the baulk cushion.

Its not easy to make 147, u need lucks to keep those red balls in perfect position.

Mark Selby made a 147 in the 2023 World Final which means that a 147 has now been achieved in every round of the world championships.

    Is that the fastest 146????

  • @Myrslokstok
    @Myrslokstok Před rokem

Yhee but you play for the title, lets say you go for the 147 and you lose the title.
But I get it as a pro player why even risk anything for 4 grand.
It like one of these problems in sport.

Alex higgins was faster than ronnie. I remember in 1982 i burst out laughing when alex was in full flow and the referee was just about running around mad trying to keep up with alex. And at one stage alex kept going and going and they were bumping into each other as alex was too fast for the referee. It was funny and brilliant to watch. Rip alex.
