One of the best sets of the festival! Absolutely loved every moment of this, thank you for uploading
My favorite set of the festival. Such a unique fusion of genres. AND SO MUCH ENERGY. Made my day with this.

たーまんねえなあ
Terrible. Self indulgent and worst of all derivative. Im out.
Nice band, but NY is full of bands like this one. I just don’t get where does WARP label is heading for. How come your people can’t find the next BOC, AFX, Squarepusher, Plaid etc. I was hooked to your unique IDM, Indie, acts. Where is the new Grizzly Bear album? C’mon.
Kassa who is signed is not the band. This is a mental take.
This was my first time hearing Kassa, and I read your comment. So I went and checked out his work and he DEFINITELY belongs in the pantheon of WARP.
I’m way more into IDM than I am fusion so hear me out.
No, his live act (a fun act it appears) does not translate the otherworldliness the way, say, Autechre does. And BoC didn’t play live. But if you listen to squarelusher live - all the electronics were just a vehicle for his sick jazz bass skills. Prefuse73 also messed with and incorporated traditional hip hop into his sound.
That’s first. Second, listen to Kassa’s album Animals. It is as artistic and transcendent as some of the best WARP stuff. A lot of those songs are in this set but you’ll hear a production value much more geared toward head phones and it’s so tight.
This would be like saying saying back in 2000 "I just don’t get where does WARP label is heading for. How come your people can’t find the next Tricky Disco, Sweet Exorcist, LFO etc Where is the new Black Dog album? C’mon"
Times change, music changes, labels change.
Completely miss the point of why afx, boc etc are so special, there’s not going to be a “next” reiteration of those sounds. Nothing more boring than a label who keeps trying to replicate past greatness. Honestly, everything Warp posts there’s some boomer complaining about how the past is gone, it’s so tedious.
@@dimensionalwavesYeah I do see these comments almost every time Warp posts. It is tedious and I hope whoever posts/reads them don’t get down, Warp is still amazing and showing me some of the most unique stuff I never thought I’d hear.
