    hey there! Really late comment here, but I have two questions! 1) when cleaning the PC, will resetting in this manner keep the MOBO drivers and such? Or do you have to do a whole new boot and all that fun stuff? 2) Will this render a large portion of the ssd useless? Selling my pc to a friend and getting nervous about this part!

  • @Dirtydunton
    @Dirtydunton Před rokem +2

    I am currently building a system that cost me 2600 cdn. It will be tested for FPS, temps, ect. I am also very picky wire management and following ESD standards which 95% of PC builders do not do which blows my mind. I have never had a failure (that I'm aware of) of any PC I have built except for new parts that were DOA or SS drives failing after 7 years or so. I honestly believe this new PC should be listed between 3200 to 3400. It is also good to look at computer brands such as Alienware to compare. My current build competes with PCs made by Alienware in the 3.2 to 3.k price range. Even if the specs are similar, I think custom PCs have better cases, better cooling, better motherboards, better power supplies ect. Selling a computer for less is a waste of time IMO because building a proper system takes much time. Hunting deals, building, testing, marketing, closing the deal. It is a significant time commitment so I feel a well built custom PC deserves a fair mark up.

    Love those used PC claims. There's a Craigslist seller in my locale with two ads for what appears to be the same PC. Both are listed for $700 and both claim to include a 9900K, so you can imagine why buyers would be interested. However, one includes a Z170 board, and the other an A320 board. So what are the odds either is actually built around a 9900K?

    I see backyard dealers posting cars for sale constantly on FB Marketplace for $123 or something stupid like that. You have to read the description to find the price....and often they just have a bi-weekly payment shown. As if that tells you how much you're paying for the car, or the finance rate - so annoying. I usually report them for promoting a business because they're dealers, not private sellers

    If you are having problems refreshing your pc here's how I fixed it. Download the Windows creation tool and select upgrade this pc now. You should have the option to do a fresh install of windows without needing a USB or ISO file. Once the process finishes the pc will be back to it's factory settings with all your applications removed but in my case I still had all the files on both my drives. Do the reset this pc through your windows setting and this time you should not have any errors. This can be somewhat tedious since you have to potentially set up windows twice but as long as you aren't in a rush you should be good.

    I bought an msi laptop 8 months ago. It looks like new, no scratches. It has windows 10, intel i7-8750h, gtx 1060 6gb, 16 gb RAM, one ssd with 126 gb and one hdd with 1tb. For how much should I sell it?

    Great video man, extremely helpful. I know that some people ask for a copy of the individual driver license if there selling something online for more than a $1000. I assume for purposes of being concerned of getting fake currency and ultimately screwed over. Do you ever do that?

      @RoofDogBlues Anyone who has worked more than like a year as a cashier of some variety is usually trained on easy ways to catch fake bills. Looking at the color, testing the ridges on jackets, finding *the line*. And that's only if the fake actually looks real to begin with xD
      Granted that's just talking about US currency. No idea what it's like with other varieties of bills/in other countries

    I have a question. I am selling my new Pre built I had built on my free time and money and after stress testing it a bit to make sure it runs well, I want to reset it. I downloaded all of the latest drivers for all of the parts of the pc. Will this reset remove the drivers or will the drivers stay?

      If you choose to reset. It wipes the whole thing and goes back to an fresh windows install. You also have the choice to wipe your hard drives

    Awesome video, I have a question about the factory reset? I have a pc that I am thinking about selling that has a ssd and hard drive how can I sell the ssd and hard drive with the pc without losing my info on that hard drive and ssd, since I’m going to build another pc? Or would it be better to transfer everything from the ssd to the hard drive since my ssd is 250gb and my hard drive is 1tb but I have barely anything on it and just keep the hard drive?

    • @RAVisuals
      @RAVisuals  Před 4 lety

      I would back up all of your information to another hard drive then wipe the hard drives for sale if they're going to be sold.

    Question. Built my PC to sell. First time getting ready to sell. I booted everything and made sure the MOBO/Windows was fully up to date before I sell. But obviously this is saved on the SSD I have. Just trying to get ahead and have everything up to date so the buyer does not have to worry about but also do not want my files on there. So if I do a PC reset. Will the Mobo go back to old verison?

  • @Fear6No7Evil
