This show is such trash, I love how they portray the saxons as 18th century colonial British when in reality Saxon’s and Scandinavian cultures were virtually the same during this period, except the Saxon’s were more along the lines of what we think as of Vikings
The difference of Religion is more important here. The Franks and their Elite were also germanic rather than modern day french. Christians saw them self as more valuable people while pagan people we're considered as half animals who must be converted or slaughtered. Look at the conquest of saxony by Charles the great. They slaughtered those who dont converted to Christianity regardless they were once nearly the same culture. The Concept of ethnic nationalism wasn't there yet. It was all about leaders, family and Religion.
@@Jan_Hannibal still a trash show
Vikings were pretty good at killing unarmed monks
"Who can speak to us?"
"I can!" 🤗🙂😐😠
It's so clear who the bad guys are so why are we meant to root for THEM?

Because...i dont want to say it..
Because nowadays theres probably more bad people than good? 💀
When your a bad guy people root for you but when your a good guy people will a eventually hate you. I agree wat your saying dats how it is and it's messed up.

Gustav and Travis were incredible in the first 4 seasons.
The sign of the cross and a little “hop to it” clap. 😂
Horik was so jealous he wanted to destroy everything Ragnar accomplished while stealing the fame he got for accomplishing it. Envious little twit who Thought he could turn Ragnar’s people against him and paid a heavy price… even caused his family to pay a heavy price all for his envy.
He was blatantly counting ... had to kill him ... And floki well it made him happy.🤣
Never watched the show, did ya?
@@sololobos6969 why you say that .?? .. I did watch every season
He may have been counting but it was more Horik doing his own negotiating with Wessex and Ragnar
@@ComradeCommissarYuri He was a devious bastard that's for sure... 👍
Floki loved that.
Aw, Flokis sweet giggle when the Saxon gets chopped up 😍😁
Floki 💀💀💀
Pagans, in the end, they all burn with their tree god 😂
Shut up and quit disrespecting European culture.
Someone mad their religion got its ass handed to them by the pagans
Exact, și ăștia vor să îi susținem că cică se opun bisericii. Poți vedea din clip că seria e făcută să râdă de noi.
Hey junior, just wanted to bring you back to the real world, let you know there is no afterlife and your dead loved ones are gone. You'll never see them again. Anyways have a nice day, and make the most of everyday because you'll never know when your one and only life gets cut short. Live and let live
@@madladmyles That's all just your opinion, man.
This was great show and Travis was top tier as Ragnar
“I can” the look he said that 😈
I love how in the show, Ragnar took advantage of his mental prowess and more or less played games with their minds. To the Christians, these people are barbarians who only want to kill and destroy, with no humane or grounded thought in their mind. So to see one of these “mindless beings” switch facial expressions, say things in a relaxed and somewhat playful tone, very clearly say things with sarcasm or hidden meanings, and even outsmart them, is against everything they’ve ever known about Vikings. The Christians underestimated them and paid a heavy price
really now. weird that kind of behavior would be so alien to them when that's similar to how they describe the devil.
@@kubli365 is that a diss or something? I’m talking in terms of the show, not in terms of all Christians worldwide
It's a show don't learn history here. Angolo saxons were a very warlike people, they were defeated because of internal civil wars and eventually angolo saxons defeated the Vikings and ended the Viking age, and norse countries converted to the religion of angolo saxons
yes, modern filmmakers love to portray Pagans and evil doers as the good guys.
Vikings sure does love glorifying the pirates that lost just about every major battle they had against the Anglo-Saxons.
*laughs in Alfred the Great*

His delivery as Ragnar...lol. "I can." A TINY bit of Johnny Depp style with his body movements.
ragnar was incredibly conscious. In the show he noticed the similarities and differences between their religions. even questioned if there were even any gods at all.
Sorry but the human sacrifices are ending
Man, the first seasons of this show was so damn good.

Ragnar was quick to learn their language and their culture. He knew that knowledge was power
