Description: In Norse mythology, Ask and Embla (from Old Norse: Askr ok Embla)-male and female respectively-were the first two humans, created by the gods. The pair are attested in both the Poetic Edda, compiled in the 13th century from earlier traditional sources, and the Prose Edda, written in the 13th century by Snorri Sturluson. In both sources, three gods, one of whom is Odin, find Ask and Embla and bestow upon them various corporeal and spiritual gifts.

The part where they talk about two wolves rising to to the sky to chase the sun and moon is a bit off. Fenrir escaped from his prison in Niflheim and ran to the Ironwood in Jotunheim, there it is unclear if he mated with an unknown Giantess or had an incestuous relationship with his mother Angrboda; however it happened the wolves Hati and Skoll where born from this union and they where set up in the sky by the Aesir to chase the sun and moon who where known to get distracted and go off course

Enjoyable as always yet the Prose Edda and Poetic Edda's were written after the whole of "Vikingdom" was smashed by the church.
