Greetings from an Icelandic person in Norway, this was very fun.. particularly all the funny pronunciations 🤩 I’d love to hear you read some of the Poetic Edda like Völuspá (the wisdom passed from the witch to Odin inside of Ýmir’s scull) or Hávamál which were basically life advice/rules/philosophies 🤓

N H same as any other religion it entails knowing the gods are here to give you strength and knowledge but being aware that the knowledge is earned. And like the video says the knowledge was passed down through writing, stories, and those willing to worship the gods even though it is an old religion. There are things that I do not know but I am learning more and more each day by doing research and talking to fellow pagans. We just vibin with the gods. 😂

@Chandler Burse sounds like you mean he should find out on camera and edit out the resesrch or something, he could just do it all off camera and then make it like any other video lol not hard to put the intro into the video, that much is literally just drag and drop

This really cool and i love the Norse legendarium. Small tip though: J in the Nordic languages and also in German is read like an English Y. So Jotunn does not begin with a sound like in "John", but with a sound like in "young". Think for instance how you say Jägermeister...

You should read by the fire more often or add rain more often I love that sound.

No offense but this children's book from 1960 is like 1,000 times better than Marvel's "Thor". Like, I actually know what's going on now.
But Marvel's Thor was never meant to be accurate to the myths or the edda, that is a superhero story based on Norse Mythology. That's it.

Anything written in the Edda's is after catholic church raized UudenMah to the ground and smashed the peoples so are written in a way that makes them nothing more than bedtime stories heavily controlled by TPTB.

Really like your videos. Just a little fact: Jotun is pronounced more like yotun. Although it isn't really, because a J in Norse based languages is actually quite different to an English Y but it's the closest I can get to explain it. (I speak and read some Norwegian although often I butcher it) but keep the videos coming. I find every one of them as interesting as each other.

Some of these Norse legends get super dark, like when Thor went on a rampage and killed every giant he could get his hands on in Midgard, or when Loki played a trick on Thor and Odin so they sewed his mouth shut.
