One of Voiceplay's best. Great to here the Dovahzul (dragons) language and the dragon shout Fus Ro Dah ("force balance push"). As a Skyrim player with over 1000 hours of gameplay, I give this a diamond stamp of approval.
Thanks Bemusing Bill for the reaction. Such an honor to cover this amazing group!

    Dragonborn:
An Imperial barbarian, a Dunmer battlemage, a Bosmer archer, a Breton necromancer, and a Nord Jarl hang out in the Palace of Kings ready to belt out a classic. Geoff is an Imperial Barbarian, Cesar a Dunmer (dark elf) Battlemage, Omar a Bosmer (wood elf) Archer, Eli a Breton Necromancer, and Layne a Nord Jarl. They sing in Dovahzul ("Dragon-Voice"), the Dragon Language or Dragonish. One of my favourites.

As an observer, (ok, die-hard fan), I think Eli began turning and opening up his evil side in My Mother Told Me. Before that, he was always the nice guy. I think his scariest to date is 7 Nation Army. Although, I wouldn't cross him in Hoist the Colors, either. He seems dangerously crazy in that one.

I'm very old, not a gamer, but that doesn't matter when Voiceplay sings. This was just stunning. They did the Halo theme, and it's amazing. The composer, Marty ODonnell watched it and left comments. He also reacted to it with The Charismatic Voice, giving them high praise all around.
If you react to it, please, please, please, watch the outro. It tells us why Halo is important to them and about who they are as musicians and friends.

This is the first video I ever saw of Voiceplay's.
Cesar's chainmail is real. It weighs 20lbs. He had to lay down and rest between takes. And then they had to help him up.
Geoff holds that first note for 10 seconds.
The language, do va zool, is the dragon language.
Food Ro Dah means Unrelenting Force.
You pretty much got their titles correct. Cesar is a Dark Elf and Omar is a Wood Elf.
For another fantastic video with those ears I suggest "In The Hall of The Mountain King".
The song has no lyrics except do, dum, bum, la. It was written in 1875 as an orchestra piece for the play, Peer Gynt. Used a lot in other places. Especially cartoons.
This video is about 5 trolls around a cauldron in the middle of the woods throwing in ingredients to improve their voices.
This is one of their most creative and comical videos.
Definitely watch to the very end.

They've done several covers from video games. Back when they were touring, the guys spent a lot of time in their hotel rooms between shows playing video games. They've covered Enemy, Valhalla Calling (an unofficial sequel to My Mother Told Me), Shero Returns, and Halo. Be sure to watch the outro. Way back when they did a Top Ten of video game themes, and in a mini of Peaches Geoff does the opposite of what he does in Dragonborn. And their latest release is Sleeping In the Cold Below, from Warframe.
I'm not a gamer but love the VP covers.

All of Elder Scrolls Music is Epic but Skyrim itself has a real Scandinavian Inspired Heritage with Viking barbarian inspiration but they can actually be somewhat peaceful.
The Dragonborn is not literally born of dragons but is a gift to the mortal humans by the Dragon god Akatosh. The dragonborn is able to slay dragons while regular mortals arent able to. By the year skyrim takes place in Dragons and Dragonborns are believed to be extinct a myth of old legend but through sorcery the eldest dragon returns and wakes all other dragons from there slumber. Meanwhile also within skyrim there is a civil war raging between imperials(a roman inspired empire) and Stormcloaks(rebels who dislike Imperial Law & Order and mainly nordic or norse)they are fighting because the empire recently lost a major war to a Elven kingdom the humans were forced to outlaw the worship of a god that humans and elves disagree on existing. Your character The Dragonborn is the last of your kind and it was unknown to you before the game start.
Skyrim is just one Nation in a world ruled by empires and magic in world completely seperated from ours called Nirn
I believe the language in the middle is met to be the dragon language in game im not sure what exactly its inspired from but likely a ancient Norse tounge in our world good job speaking dragon :P
6:20 Geoff i believe is met to be the dragon born who is versed in magic and regular combat, lain? and omar are met to be a elf who are versed in magic and ranged combat, and ceasar is met to be a regular old nordic warrior.
I recommend the song Skyrim - Age of Aggression & Oppression (Epic Metal Cover) - [feat @jonathanymusic] its a cover of some of the few bard songs we get to here in game if your interesting in continuing the experience.
Another one i recommend is The Elder Scrolls Online «Markarth» - Red Eagle's Song (Gingertail cover) its done in classical bard style with a harp
TLDR: Short explanation of skyrims lore and a music recommendation at the bottom. Been big into learning Elder Scrolls lore lately bit though i dont play the game much the music is still fantastic

I've never heard of Skyrim until I listen to Voiceplay, either. After watching it several times and reading/watching other fans talk about it. I finally broke down and bought it. Still at the beginning and I have no idea what I'm doing, but it's been fun. Just need more time in a day, or figure out how to go without sleep.

Their gaming songs ARE EPIC. Skyrim has its own dragon language (Dovazul?) which they learnt for this! The harmonies were beautiful. Would love more VP! 🌹🕊 PS: I see you have not done their "Halo theme" and "Valhalla Calling" (from Assassin's creed). Even more importantly... have you done "Nothing Else Matters" (Metallica) ? Lol, nope. G & L are tanks, but in Skyrim, there’s no paladins. Cesar is a half orc and prob another tank. Omar is an archer, and Eli is likely a necromancer.
But in Skyrim, it’s super common to multi class, you can have a sword in one hand and throw fireballs with the other.
And the second part was in Dovah. The language of the Dragons. They actually talk to you in the game….when they aren’t trying to kill you. Sometimes when they are trying to kill you.
The video game ones I can remember off hand are this one, Enemy (from League of Legends), Theme to Halo, Valhalla Calling which was inspired by Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and Sleeping In The Cold Below from Warframe.
There’s also Peaches from the Mario movie, and I think they did a top ten melody fir video games a long time ago.
