#VoicePlay #TheDragonBornComes #VoicePlaySkyrim - Hudba
Love this. They sing in English and then in Dragon speech. The special effect is when they do that dragon shout. FUS RO DAH! Perfect.
Smart not to have Geoff do the shout... It would be too powerful
Those arpeggios are insane-I don’t know why I’m surprised he has that kind of vocal agility but I was pretty gobsmacked the first time I heard it. These guys always know how to throw new things at us every song.
Geoff did the arrangement. He and Layne alternate doing them and sometimes work with an outside arranger. I know nothing of this game, but from what I can tell, they captured it perfectly. Geoff tends to use Eli more than Layne, who uses Geoff more and as old friends will stick Geoff with things singing Ursula in Little Mermaid Medley - while painted blue!!!!! Geoffs epic arrangement of Hoist the Colours (3rd Pirates of the Caribbean) nearly broke a bunch of reactors. PS - Cesar was wearing REAL chain mail. It was among the props from various songs auctioned off for charity.
Eli does a majority of their lighting and has done some of the arranging too. I loved Elis arrangement of Eleanor Rigby.
Omar is also in Superstition and Carry on Wayward Son. Both great covers. You really get to hear Eli's rock voice in Carry on Wayward Son. Omar's brother EJ is in a couple of covers around the same time. VoicePlay is called the theater kids of acapella because of that attention to detail.
Thanx for continuing with the VoicePlay reactions. Keep on keepin' on, man!
I really enjoyed your reaction. Voiceplay is AWESOME. Dragonborn is one of my favorites, but I love everything they do. It is definitely worth checking out "My Mother Told Me" and "Hoist the Colours" 😉
Never played Skyrim but that doesn't matter when you have an amazing sounding arrangement like this. I'm always in awe of VoicePlays wonderfully tight harmonies, Geoff did a great job! Loved your reaction, thank you!
I love that you love it. I love it too. All of it. They put so much into it and dseserve so much more attention. Carry On Wayward Son also features Omar and it tremendous though not anything like this one. If you haven't yet heard Geoff on his own - accompanied by his clones - maybe look at Over The Misty Mountains Cold.
Loved this reaction! I am not a gamer, so Halo and Dragonborn meant absolutely nothing to me. But, wow, the music, voices, set, production, artists are unbelievable!
Thanx so much for doing this one!
If you want more earth shattering, go with Hoist the Colours (Pirates of the Caribbean 3) next. Or if you want amazing vocals without theatrics, Go The Distance. This one was done before Cesar joined the group, the baritone is J None who left to join and sing with the US Navy. The featured artist is EJ Cardona, Omar's brother and tenor with Voctave.
Next with Geoff, try House of the Rising Sun.
Peace.
I really enjoyed your reaction and am glad you are reacting to more Voice Play! All of the suggestions in the comments are great ones but pick something you know and like and you will not be disappointed.
This group blows me away too. I never knew who they were until about 6 months ago, now i have Geoff Castalucci, and select voiceplay on my playlist now.
I'm a old school metalhead, so needless to say when one of my old buddies hear this pop up, i get a raised eyebrow look, or they're like... No way your listening to this, or this shit is badass bro😂😎
People who ACTUALLY love music, dont care about genres! We appreciate anything done well 💯
@@Skullzrapper absolutely agree bro. 👍
I’m more hard rock myself, but they are irresistible. Have you caught their Aerosmith cover they dropped recently? Didn’t expect “Dream On” would be one they’d do, but they killed it.
@@cynthiaross9438 yes i did catch the dream on song. Definitely killed it.
@@cynthiaross9438 Yeah, my reactions up on the channel 💯
They added lines at the beginning for those who have no experience with Skyrim (some idea of what's going on), then the chanting, then the language of Skyrim for a bit.
I do enjoy your commentary. Some of my favorites, other than the ones you've done already, Man in the Mirror, Hoist the Colours, Friends on the Other Side, Queen in 5 Min, My Mother Told Me. When it gets close to Halloween, I've a long list.
Recently VoicePlay held an auction for patrons only. Included in the 13 lots were these the costumes from this video. They raised $1,300 for Save the Music Foundation. (Surprisingly, the top selling lot in the auction was Layne’s armor and cloak for over $700.)
love watching a reactor enjoying Voiceplay ❤️🏴
I sang bass in high school, this isn't bass it is outerworldly, i could not even dream of hitting those notes let alone the tone he has, anybody who thinks singing really high is more difficult...haha, there is no bass falsetto lol.
Wellllll there are subharmonics, though. But yeah, Geoff’s just really freaking good. His timbre is just beautiful. Smoothest deep voice I’ve ever heard.
@@lkayh, even Geoff is chest voice is nearly an octave lower than most bass singers.
Well, there are techniques to get you lower, but even Geoff in chest voice is pretty low (F1). I can sing lower than Geoff (my lowest chest note is a C#1; with subharmonics being recorded down to B -1 (a half-step below C0); although, I just don't have his resonance or control. Controlling a subharmonic is not the easiest thing to do.
@@johndeeregreen4592 Oh i agree there are techniquest to get you lower but in my opinion singing that low takes a tremendous amount of air and control, it is not so much the note and where it is on the scale, it is the tone, breathe control, and like you said resonance. My point was there is no falsetto for the lower register lol.
@@johndeeregreen4592 and btw my favorite B52 pilot and commander and his crew wore John Deere hats while they were at Fairchild, got a kick out of your name.
And whether you like the movie or not, their Little Mermaid Medley is amazing!
I like this a lot too! Since you seem to be into their “epic” style, I suggest “Hoist the Colours” and “Warrior” (where Layne and former baritone J None also play the violin). They also will release a new one soon, I thought it would have been a week ago, but it wasn’t so it may be today. Both Layne and Geoff go totally crazy, it sounds great so it’s good to have good headphones... 😊
Yes to "Hoist the Colours"! Still one of my all-time favourites of theirs.
Big yes to Hoist the colours!!!
Yes, they release Enemy ft AleXa today. It’s totally mind blowing. 🎶🔥❤️
@@asemlagnestal282 I agree, it’s amazing! See you at the premiere? 😊
@@veronicathunander4579 I’ll definitely be there. See you! 😊👍
I really like your reactions. Unlike so many others, you never get in the way of the music you're reacting to. You don't yell over it just to tell me Geoff has a deep voice, and when you pause the music, there's a legitimate reason. You have something to say that makes pausing worthwhile. I enjoy all of the "big three" (and let's not forget Voctave), but Voiceplay is my favorite.
I appreciate that! I do my best to find a balance 💯
Fun Easter egg, those scales from Geoffe in the middle were the Midi intro music for the original Final Fantasy from the first Nintendo Entertainment System.
Here for it 🤘😎
Honestly, going low is easy for Geoff... his speaking voice averages a C2, with inflection points dropping to G1... so, just him speaking is lower than many basses can sing.
Loved your reaction and comments. Every Time I listen to this amazing piece, I hear something new. The arrangement is so complex and vocals on pointe. Love it!
OUTSTANDING! Loved your reaction. Your face speaks volumes. Thanks!
Thank you 🙏
It's gorgeous. Enjoyed your reaction.
Appreciate it 🔥🔥🔥
Geoff..'popped' for the costuming too......Cesar is wearing 20 pounds of chain mail in his costume, Omar's leather armor....Geoff's war hammer....swords, archery gear, fighting gauntlets etc....$$$$ well spent. Waiting for you to react to this one....they all are phenomenal.....>^^
Man I had to carry chainmail for an actor for a video I shot and I felt so bad for the dude. It was seriously about 75 lbs and he did a sword fight scene in it! Kudos Cesar 🤘
Thanks, Eric, for that bit of information....just subbed to this channel and to VoicePlay and still learning about my "chosen ones".
For a full experience of Geoff's range, check out his channel. "Ain't No Sunshine" is his latest, and it's amazing.
Already reacted to it my friend! 🤘
This is one of my favorites from Voiceplay. Omar is the brother of EJ Cordona of Voctave. Great voices run in this family.
That's awesome! Haven't checked out Voctave yet but will get around to it 💯
@@Skullzrapper How far I'll go and their Disney Princess Medley are great ones to start with
Cool! Appreciate the suggestions 🤘
New Tomorrow. Enemy - Imagine Dragons (Arcane League Of Legends) | VoicePlay Feat. AleXa (acapella)
My Mother Told Me is one you should check out for sure.
Hey Skullz, new subscriber tonight. Really enjoy your take and breakdown with the VoicePlay reactions. They have a lot of great stuff they put out. I would say the Hoist the Colours featuring Jose Rosario Jr. from Pirates of the Caribbean is perhaps my favorite from them. Would love to see your reaction and take to that one. Take care and stay safe.
Much love! Appreciate the sub and the suggestions🤘
Waking to you an voiceplay is the biggest treat thanku so much lovely skullz have a great weekend much love and God bless always x
You too Wendy 🔥🔥🔥
@@Skullzrapper Thanku beautiful x
Hope your beautiful wife doing ok was thinking of her please send my love an.hugs x
I will. Shes doing good. Appreciate you asking ❤
@@Skullzrapper im so.happy to hear that really I am x
As a longtime Skyrim player (since game release....and still playing) this song is THE identifier for the game. And, yes, EVERY bard in EVERY tavern will play and sing it on request. It even identifies one as a true Nord or an Imperial lover if you chose this or a different song. Nords are very biased that way. Just sayin'....(Khajitii, Nas'ca, level 49, Vampire Faction....currently)
And they sang in dragon language!
Enjoy your reactions!
Thanks Elena ❤
Subbed!! Thanks for another great reaction! Appreciate your honest and heartfelt thoughts.
Appreciate the support 💯🔥
Please do a reaction video of Voice Plays version of Enemy. It is their newly released video.
Once more, I think your rxns are great. You say what you think and don't just make faces at the camera. AND you don't spend the entire time reminding us Geoff has a deep voice - we know that; you save your comments for special moments. PLUS you talk about Geoff's and Eli's tenor range(s) - different but equally impressive.
While I enjoy seeing the whole "stunned by Geoff" reactions, it was nice to see someone who you can tell is skilled enough to understand the work that goes into these. And yes, ones like this (or Hall of the Mountain King which they just did) are my favorites, where they have almost infinite flexibility in how they can put it together unlimited by "this is how the song goes".
You would enjoy reaction to the Oogie Boogie Song by Voiceplay.
Try Burn Butcher Burn from the Witcher cover by Colm McGuiness. He can play at least 16 instruments and sing A Capella too. The Bass Gang's version of Yellow Flicker Beat featuring Colm is another really powerful song
You must do My Mother Told Me and Hoist the Colors
Hoist the Colors!
Check out Enemy their new one.
You need to react to Hellfire from their 2023 Halloween .
Please do the most meaningfull reaction of your life.
