    I’m doing this set up this week. With a smaller battery but I will document my results and shout out.

    I did a setup like this with a Dc to Dc charger to 2 100AH Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries, it works so well.

      Did you also manage to fit both batteries behind the drivers rear seat? If so, I need to do this.

    • @overland_cam
      @overland_cam Před 4 měsíci +1

      I did yes. I did have to take out the plastic cubby behind the seat, but I added sound deadening and built a small platform that screwed into the existing holes.

    Any difference s if you run the cables from the controller (output) straight to the battery not to the fuse block?

    nice video...what kind of battery is that? Do you have the link for that battery?

    Great video! I seen you had some dimensions for possible battery sizes, 13x6wx9h. Do you think a 7” wide battery will fit?

    Great tutorial! Im thinking of going this route for a dometic cfx35 cooler. My question is Can i dual charge the battery while the truck is running so it also charges off the alternator?

      @javilee98  Před rokem +1

      Yes but you'll need to add in a DC to DC charger.

    Loved the video. How did your seat fit back over the battery? Did you leave the rear trim peace on or take it off?

    • @javilee98
      @javilee98  Před rokem +1

      I keep the rear plastic covering off, i find it just wasted space I could use otherwise.

    Thinking of getting the Renogy MPPT controller to set up some solar on my taco. How’s it been running for you so far?

    • @javilee98
      @javilee98  Před 3 měsíci +1

      I've had 0 issues in nearly 2 years, I don't think the battery has ever dipped below 70% to be honest.

    So you are able to use your seat still while it's working? And do you need air to keep it from getting warm or hot?

    I've been thinking about doing this in my truck for awhile! I have the battery sitting in the bed at the moment behind the fridge. Where did you connect your truck ground to on the chassis?

    • @javilee98
      @javilee98  Před rokem

      Are you referring to where I grounded the battery?

      @javilee98  Před rokem +1

      @@wanderingoglethorpe At 4:02 is where I ground the fuse block and I ground the battery to the fuse block. So it's all grounded to the truck :)

    How long can you run it on a cloudy day or at night? Also, what battery did you use?

    • @javilee98
      @javilee98  Před rokem +3

      I'm using a 85AH lithium battery I got from AliExpress forever ago but they're much cheaper on Amazon nowadays. My fridge uses roughly 30AH over 24 hours in my testing so nearly 3 straight days without a recharge.
