Hi, I am also a Stipling artist. In the last 30 years did more than 1,000 portraits. Lots of exhibitions in different parts of the World. Did projects on some of the biggest icons of the World. King of Pop Michael Jackson, Football Greats Peel and Maradona, American President Mr Bol Clinton and many more, have personally graced my exhibitions and appreciated. Unfortunately dident have time to teach. Hope could do it in future. This artist is doing a great job.

I bought my first micron pen in 2015. Since 2016 I somewhat became an artist known for dots by the people around me. Wish this video was around at the time I started. Definitely sharing this video with people who ask for tips ❤

I started doing pen and ink about a year ago and then about a month ago decided to do stippling because it gives me a more photographic look. All your tips are spot on. I'm on my way right now to my studio where I am going to be inking a woman's hair and I had been trying to decide to stipple or not. You have convinced me not to do it that way. Thanks!

I just got back into drawing after 30 years. I always loved pointillism & I've finished 4 pieces. Each one is much better than the previous as my dot shading is becoming smoother. I hope to one day produce something near your amazing quality.

I wanted to do halftone dot art ... it saves shading multiple times on a potrait to get values n all as in realistic arts...
I downloaded " Halftone dots " app green owl was icon pic for the app.. it turns image into dots, lines , box n ball ... v can adjust contrast to get black shades more to skip more dots.. n its much realistic when art seen frm far .. 😊😊

I wish I'd taken up the interest I have now in art back when I was younger. I'm learning a lot and stippling was something I hadn't heard of yet. I found your channel and this has been very intrigued. One thing that I've noticed from other artists, Sakura Pigma Micron pens are a very popular brand and type for fine liners, however, I'd like to give a suggestion (especially for those starting out). Ohuhu makes very good art mediums from colored pencils to watercolors, acrylics, to alcohol-based and water-based markers, to fine liners. They are budget friendly, but that doesn't make them cheap or seem cheap when it compares to some top brands (like Prismas and Copics). Really, it just boils down to doing your own research and learning your preferences. Some people may go for a half and half - 1 brand for 1 thing, another brand for a different thing. One thing I learned is to take your time, be patient with yourself, give yourself credit and don't be so hard on yourself. These are beautiful works of art and you should be proud of yourself :)

Thank you for this video. I have been interested in dot work for years and every time I drew, I felt like the whole thing had to be done in dots, including the hair or black clothes. I always told myself that doing it all in dots would be better, that if I just color it it would be "cheating", right? But watching this video made me realize that it actually looks better if the hair is not stippled (which makes me feel so much better because stippling hair is hell and takes so much time)

I love this art! stippling I would call it ( with BLACK dots one can't possibly make Pointilism-Art;). They tell me, I shouldnt ever layer the dots, but I love the look of layered dots in your artpieces. If we enlarge digital pictures to the max, we see some sort of tiny mazes, and that's exctly what your layered dots look like. So, despite criticism, I layer my dots now too. Keep going EmmaTerry!! Perhaps if you looked at your huge posterpictures as MEDITATION - one dot at a time - you wouldnt go out of your mind so much??

Your stippling is top, but your drawing has shocked me a bit. Your line quality is awful and needs lots improvement. I mean these feathery strokes are what you see in beginners who have no confidence and YOU are NOT one of them. Yoou should master drawing a propre line in no time. Just try it. (There are enough youtube videos on linequality exercises and the same on line weight too). Your own art would look so much better - don't you think so?
